…only to find you have to then pay if you want to use it?

A bit of transparency & honesty up-front, please.
If it’s £2.99 to use, put a £2.99 price tag on it in the AppStore.

**Developer response:** Hi,

This is a free app to use and free forever! There are some features that are a very cheap one-time in-app purchase to unlock, however you don't need to buy them to use the app, additionally the App Store will tell you if there is a in-app purchase in the app and how much it is before downloading.
Having a paid upfront app means no one will downloaded it because they don't know what they are downloading until after they have paid, having a one-time in-app purchase enables users to try the app before buying or just choose not to and keep using a limited set of features for free.

Was browsing for a simple 8 bit style art app to work with Apple Pencil. This is it. Great for an escape. Works well with pencil. Worth 2.99!
