## What is Octave Music?

Octave Music is a local music app with standards as high as yours. 

I quit streaming services about a year ago, wanting to have my own music library. Unfortunately, the standard local music listening experience is an afterthought. So, I made Octave Music.

It's got some cool features which you won’t find in the stock music app for a local library, including:
- full, timed, karaoke-style lyrics
- the ability to load lyrics if your files don't include them
- a default recently played view, not recently added
- instant search, including lyric search
- Smart Radio, a "radio" of your library, based on mood and preference
- full featured iTunes sync from a Mac/PC
- iCloud Drive based music import
- rich, native app feel across iPad and iOS.

This is all alongside an attention to detail like proper queuing, cross-device listening history, playlists and rewind so you don’t feel too much fomo come Wrapped season.

If you’ve fallen off the streaming bandwagon and you’re sick of pulling your hair out because of poor UI choices, this is the app for you.

- Drag and Drop support: take an album or song and drag it onto the mini player to add to queue. 
- Accessibility support: improved my work to make it nicer for blind people to use the app.
- Improved Widgets: they weren't good. I made them nicer. 
- Misc paper cut removal: e.g. search now shows the result you tapped on in search history, not weird half-written keywords.
- Bug fixes!

Fixed a bunch of bugs. It was annoying me that when you scrolled you could see grey placeholder album art. The app doesn’t do that anymore. Also fixed a bug where if tabs overflow into more… you couldn’t tap into a song or album. I also added logic to ask for reviews, please leave one !
