I continue to use it for all my prints still, and the support from the developer remains consistent, and timely. Bugs are regularly managed, and I enjoy being able to run dual camera feeds that toggle in the camera section. The one time supporter fee is also a great feature that is appreciated. Christian will email you and address any concerns or questions that you have and he is very knowledgeable. I love the fact that I can remote monitor my prints when I leave my home Wi-Fi and the app will switch between Wifi and Remote modes if you have this set up correctly. The interface is very flexible and you can adjust it according to what you want to see. I paid for the lifetime version of this app as it offers great value and the Live Updates on your lock screen for print progress is a fantastic addition in the paid version. The free version does everything I need and keeps a live feed on the printer so long as I am on the same network. But this app doesn’t give you an option to login to that account. And furthermore as soon as you manually add a printer to it. It doesn’t provide you with an option to add more. I just got Mobilraker from App Store. Definitely Mobilraker is a 5 star app in comparison. It connects not only directly but also through OctoEveryWhere and Obico. ### 2/5 — Not responsive to commands *2025-12-13, version 3.0.31* I’m a bit disappointed in the app. Every time I try to run a command it does not process the command to my printer. If I try and adjust speed or simply turn on the chamber light it never registers the command. It works well to view the camera but that’s about it. ### 3/5 — Troublesome for security *2026-02-05, version 3.0.38* OctoApp encourages *not* using secure connections and has no option for allowing use of self-signed certs. The app doesn’t handle https redirects well either. So in order to actually get the app to work, you have to disable https redirects or disable https entirely on the server. This limits its usefulness as you shouldn’t really do that outside of a local network. ### 3/5 — Elegoo *2025-09-13, version 3.0.18* Pretty annoying the app says it supports elegoo but to get any notifications or anything usable you need the octoprint companion plugin or any other plug in for octoprint and they do not support elegoo.
