Straightforward, especially if you set your high threshold rate at the SVR rate - they go red. Ideal for knowing exactly when you're not saving money. Maybe there'll be a green threshold for when the rate is cheaper than gas … that's when the immersion heater gets switched on. It has, without doubt, saved us money and conserved energy. Recently the app ceased to function and I contacted the author for support. Not only did I receive support. Rubbish. ### 1/5 — Can’t get passed login screen *2024-10-24, version 11.6* Good morning, I have just downloaded this app for £0.99, when i open the app it asks for my tariff, I select the correct one, and it takes me to my login on my Octopus account page, after about 5 seconds the tariff screen flashes back on and I can’t go any further without adding my tariff again and again and again,, so obviously a glitch somewhere , but does make the app unusable for me. The ‘Dashboard’ does not tell you whether it is gas, electricity or gas + electricity. Since it is giving live energy prices, it should be switchable between gas and electricity otherwise how is one to know which devices should be switched off and when. It can work out more expensive however it helps if you are able to control when you use your power, and when it’s at cheaper rates you can also boost your storage battery for later when you might need it most. ### 5/5 — Handy Little App *2026-05-22, version 11.12.1* This app makes it a lot easier to find the best time for different cost on Octopus Agile scheme. I had a question and the developer answered within a couple of hours, great service. ### 5/5 — One of the best apps in the appstore *2026-03-16, version 11.12.1* Had this app for a couple of years and it’s been brilliant at enabling me to track my daily usage. Recently experienced some glitches with it so contacted Rob, the developer. Within 24 hours he had applied a fix and it’s now working perfectly again. If you’re on Octopus agile this app is a must. Not only does it show the next day’s half hourly rates but is really useful to track retrospective use and as I said, see how your daily average spend per kWh is comparing with other tariffs and the price cap. ### 5/5 — Support feedback *2026-02-21, version 11.12* I had an issue with the tariff updating when I renewed my tariff with octopus and the figures weren’t matching.
