I would like to see gas consumption in kwh rather than m3 - surely the app must do some conversion from m3 to get cost? I had some teething problems with the early set up but the App designer offered excellent advice which fixed the problem. With energy prices going through the roof, this app enables you to take action quickly when you see a problem. ### 5/5 — Excellent Support *2021-12-23, version 2.0* This App is really helpful especially if you have a Powerwall, but my Smart Meter played up and Rob gave me instant help and advice. As a bonus, Rob is passionate in his craft when responding to any queries about smart meters. This is where this app comes in - really helps you to understand the effect of shifting power consumption to different times of the day. The developer is also friendly a d responsive to support requests. This App just assumes the rate to be used based on the time of day consumed which does not reflect the actual DYNAMIC rate that Octopus may apply outside of the default cheap times. Hence, can’t see actual cost as rate is unreliable. Given the uselessness of the in-home display you get with smart meters (mine has never shown the daily gas readings) this is a well laid out alternative. When I noticed that the standing charge was wrong I submitted an email to tech support and Rob was back in contact within minutes, on a Saturday night, to look into it. Turned out that Octopus had changed the daily standing charge from 26.5p per day to an eye-watering 48p per day in the API data even though they’d not even told their customers yet. Having found the anomaly I expected that to be the end of it but the following day I got another email from Rob to say he’d fixed the issue and the data should revert back to its original state until the actual date of the increase, April Fools Day!! Excellent service that is so often lacking these days. Keep up the good work ### 5/5 — It’s great! *2022-02-21, version 2.0.1* I use this every day - sad as it may seem! With energy prices on the increase I wanted a way of monitoring my daily usage of gas and electric. This app does just that. It’s helped me offset electricity usage onto the Go nighttime period. It also helps me keep on top of Octopus payments to make sure they’re not setting my direct debit too high.
