## What is Odin's Wisdom?

Five hundred trick questions. No ads, no subscription, no account, and it all works offline.

The answer you're sure of is usually the wrong one. Some questions lean on a misconception everyone carries around; others turn on a single word. Read twice. Answer once.

Built by Laz Burke, a solo developer, as a gift for his wife — who is very good at trivia.

Five categories: Health & Science, The World, Religion & Mythology, Flora & Fauna, and Music & Movies. Each question graded from firm ground to thin ice. Huginn and Muninn ride your shoulders as you play: Thought and Memory, watching. And rarely impressed.

ONE ATTEMPT EACH
A question you answer is a question you're finished with, right or wrong. Nothing recycles until you guess it. Your score is what you knew, not how long you were willing to keep trying.

ODIN WON HIS CONTESTS BY ASKING TRICK QUESTIONS
So do we. Odin gave an eye for a single drink from the well of wisdom. You get off easier. Some of these are traps, and the ravens will tell you when you've walked into one.

PLAY WITH FAMILY & FRIENDS AND CREATE YOUR OWN FLOCK
Write your own questions about your own people, then play them at the table. How did Dad really meet Mum? What would your sister never eat? Keep a flock for the family and another for your friends.

Only the organiser pays. Everyone invited plays free, forever.

NO ADS. NO SUBSCRIPTION. NO ACCOUNT.
All five hundred questions are free and there is nothing to sign up for. Nothing tracks you, and the whole game works with no signal at all.

Read twice. Answer once.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.5 — 2026-10-15

Family & Friends can now be bought from the App Store page itself. Start it there and it finishes in here, with the questions ready to write.

The rest of this update is the store page rather than the game. Nothing has moved inside the app, and your progress is exactly where you left it.

If something looks wrong, hello@odinswisdom.app — Huginn and Muninn see a great deal, but they do not see everything.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-09-15

Bug fixes in this version. If you play on a smaller iPhone, or with larger text turned on, the Begin button could end up below the bottom of the screen with nothing to scroll and no way to reach it. The opening now scrolls if it needs to, and Begin stays put at the bottom where it belongs. The same thing could happen on a flock somebody shared with you, where the Play button sat in exactly the same spot. Also fixed.

Thank you to the player who reported it. If something looks wrong, hello@odinswisdom.app — Huginn and Muninn see a great deal, but they do not see everything.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-09-05

Family & Friends now keeps score.
A round is one pass through the flock, and it ends with a number. Put your name to it and send the result back to the flock leader who wrote the questions via text message. They have been waiting to find out how well you actually know them.

New questions come up first.
If someone adds to a flock and shares it again, you get the new ones rather than being marched past everything you have already answered. Nothing is retired; the whole set is always one tap away.

Flock questions can share a story.
When the flock leader writes a question, they can also add what appears after the reveal, which is usually the part people actually want to see. Leave it blank and the ravens say something noncommittal, as before.

Bragging rights.
Your standing overall can be shared from the stats screen to anyone via text message should you want people to know which category you are quietly bad at.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-09-04

Huginn watched a great many of you walk past your own stats. There was an arrow. Arrows are subtle. There is now a button that says Stats.

Family & Friends can also be unlocked at last — write questions about the people who can't Google their way out of them. They play free, and lose anyway.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-03

Family & Friends is now available. Unlock it once to write your own trivia questions about the people you know, and send them a link — everyone you invite plays free.

Also in this release: a fix for a question whose answers could appear in the wrong order, and corrections to a few explanations for you.
