### 2/5 — It Works, but oh that UX is rough

*2026-08-24, version 2.6.8*

Let's get the good part out of the way: If you can figure out what radio version and sub-sub-sub version you have, it will connect via bluetooth and read/write data. But holy cow, there's a lot of problems with the User Experience. The overall design philosophy for programming a channel is "one-at-a-time" - there's no editable grid view of all the channels, there's only these tiny little "cards" that represent open and filled channels (and they use RED to signal an open channel, rather than to warn of a full channel). When editing an "empty" channel, it seems to randomly pick up a description (Tag) from other channels. There's no explicit way to suppress TX functions on a given channel. The field order on channel programming is...unexpected...with alpha tags being near the last things you enter, not near the first. All in all, it is slightly - just slightly - easier than programming via the keypad, but it has a long way to go to even remotely compare with the excellent CHIRP software. But if you need something to backup and restore your radio, it's kinda useful. OH, and assume all your data is being shipped to China for some reason.

### 4/5 — UB5R

*2026-08-17, version 2.6.8*

Dur dur, il faut comprendre, mais on n’y arrive tout doucement

### 3/5 — Owner

*2026-08-11, version 2.6.8*

Mess my radio up can’t unbind them to reset again

### 2/5 — Set up radio

*2026-08-10, version 2.6.8*

I set up my radios they great but the app went down now I can’t not get my radios back on to the app
Really disappointed

### 3/5 — Confirm

*2026-08-08, version 2.6.8*

Can not get the radio on remote programming

### 2/5 — Radio not on the list

*2026-07-28, version 2.6.7*

I wanted to read and prg the radio I just purchased TD-G18. The only radio close to mine is the G17 also there is no G500 listed either ☹️

### 3/5 — Not bad, could be better

*2026-07-26, version 2.6.7*

Not a bad app, the fact that it lets you use it without any kind of account is a plus, but a lot of the stuff makes it seem like you “have” to be signed in to use it, this is unnecessary and I would love to see an intelligent response where the developer removes the whole login thing completely on a future version, but I have a feeling that that’s wishful thinking

### 2/5 — Mixed feelings

*2026-07-22, version 2.6.7*

Don’t use this if you run a business and depend on the POC radios you will be let down

### 2/5 — Garbage

*2026-06-22, version 2.6.5*

This app is not intuitive and trying to set up an M2 pro radio looks to be impossible

### 3/5 — Ok, but irritating

*2026-06-08, version 2.6.4*

The app worked well for me to program and setup the M2pro POC and edit the analog channels. I find it vexing that the app insists on asking for Bluetooth permissions twice every time I open the app. I don’t care to give the bloody Bluetooth permissions permanent access and will turn it on once in a blue moon when I need to program a radio over BT. Also doesn’t seem to allow you to delete messages in a group outside of making a temporary group and then deleting the entire group.

### 2/5 — App crashes

*2026-05-30, version 2.6.3*

Works but when switching menus and options crashes

### 3/5 — Odmaster app

*2026-05-30, version 2.6.3*

After the new update now the app closes out when I click on something every time and then I have to log back in and it does it again!

### 4/5 — Great App

*2026-05-09, version 2.6.2*

I like this app, I use it to program my TIDRadio TDH9. However, I would like to see more features in the app to program the radio, such as enabling or disabling APRS and changing settings for APRS, enabling or disabling and configuring settings for GPS, and other radio settings.

### 4/5 — Funcion.es-a

*2026-04-02, version 2.6.1*

La verdad es que lo uso para programar y controlar varios POC de TD-RADIO y hasta ahora sin problemas. Quizá echo de menos alguna opción- como los upgrades / updates - pero en general BIEN

### 2/5 — Two month holiday and everything falls apart

*2026-03-21, version 2.5.1*

Tidradio shut down for two months for the Chinese new year and the entire system broke down and failed. I couldn’t get any answers to questions as everyone else online had tons of and we’re not able to get answers. I have these radios for emergency purposes and unfortunately, I can’t rely on them.. Right now I’m trying to add a couple of radios and the app won’t let me that part of the app is not working.. I’m afraid if I delete the app and reinstall it I’m going to lose all the data and set up information from the radios that are already programmed. The radios are nice, but the Customer Service and Technical Assistance from the company is absolutely horrible. There’s not one phone number worldwide where you can talk to anyone everything’s through WhatsApp and email.
If I had a business with no phone number, where customers can talk to for technical assistance, I would expect to be out of business very shortly. Shame on Tidradio, and Odmaster for having a such unreliable system.

### 3/5 — Más idiomas

*2026-01-10, version 2.5.1*

Una sugerencia Pongan más idiomas Español somos 635 millones que lo hablan en todo el mundo, gracias

### 4/5 — Amended review 31 Dec 25

*2025-12-31, version 2.5.1*

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Very poor app

*2026-06-22, version 2.6.5*

When you download the app it looks good with lots of features until you come to use it and discover very little of the features work

### 1/5 — Trying to download iPad latest update

*2026-06-07, version 2.6.4*

It has been trying for over a day and still isn’t finished. What happened ? Please fix it…

### 1/5 — App Crash

*2026-05-30, version 2.6.3*

The app is barely usable with the TD-H9. It constantly crashes after connecting to Bluetooth. The app will also crash when you use the back arrow to return to a previous page. Obviously poor testing by the programmers.

### 1/5 — M15

*2026-05-15, version 2.6.2*

I bought two and none of them works network failed on both brand new devices

### 1/5 — Poor support

*2026-04-17, version 2.6.1*

They barely support the TD-H9 radio. The app thinks it’s a TD-H8 and settings are not correct for the H9.

### 1/5 — bug with Baofeng UV-5R

*2026-02-24, version 2.5.1*

When programming UV-5R it leaves the radio unusable because a conflict on CTCSS settings. The radio is set to 553.5Hz tx and rx CT tones (freq not supported on UV-5R) and the squelch closed and it can’t be changed manually anymore (so, unusable until the radio is resetted) The radio can use tones up to 254.1Hz but the app can only select tones up to 250.3Hz and then OFF. So it looks like the app have one less position for this setting creating a fatal conflict. Please fix this! The UV-5R is a very popular radio!

### 1/5 — retevis rt24

*2026-01-12, version 2.5.1*

no hay soporte para el walkie retevis rt24

### 1/5 — Worthless

*2026-01-04, version 2.5.1*

It won’t even let me register… already deleted it and moved on to CHIRP.

### 1/5 — Odmaster app has major problems

*2025-12-23, version 2.5.1*

Got my Tdradio M15’s but the app does not even list this model, and thus cannot complete registering the radios. App is badly designed.

### 1/5 — Dumb App doesn’t work.

*2025-11-18, version 2.4.4*

What a dumb name for a dumb app that makes you log in for nothing at all. When you’re in a remote area with only your Ham radio, you still need to LOG IN. Even if I have WiFi, it still won’t create an account. It just loads and loads. Skip the login you say?? Alas, the skip login button does zilch. Too bad in the year 2025 they can’t make a simple app to do something so SIMPLE. Heck my Mac in year 2000 had better programs than this. Complete Garbage app. My grandma can make a better app.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Small but packs a punch

*2026-06-18, version 2.6.5*

Best ever POC radios on the market. Ease of setting up and of use. Work brilliantly. Keep up the good work TID!

### 5/5 — Functional and safe

*2026-04-27, version 2.6.2*

Many of the apps for inexpensive HT’s from China are subsidized by nefarious actors that insert data mining code into the programs. This app is not one of those.

This app is highly recommended for both its capabilities and safety from malware.

### 5/5 — Techy app

*2025-12-08, version 2.4.5*

The app does what it’s supposed to do for my specific radio; TIDRADIO H3+.

Bumps in the firmware road seem to be responsible for most troubles with this app, in my experience.

Remember different radios will have different reliability via Bluetooth. If your radios firmware is updateable, do it.

### 5/5 — Battery Drain

*2025-11-09, version 2.4.4*

Last version drains the battery of my phone soo fast, really don’t know what do but don’t like to me Odmaster team.
Updated: last version seems the problem has been solved. Thanks guys!

### 5/5 — Ok now

*2025-10-10, version 2.4.3*

So they fixed the Bluetooth issues and it works now.

### 5/5 — Good tool

*2025-06-03, version 2.3.7*

It is a tool and if you use it that way it works fine.

### 5/5 — Very Satisfying

*2025-05-29, version 2.3.7*

Excellent app helps with learning and community, would recommend to anyone interested in GMRS programming and community.

### 5/5 — Must have!

*2025-05-21, version 2.3.7*

Best companion app for HT’s. Super smooth and easy to use. Great community, very helpful and very welcoming. Keep in touch with family and friends.

### 5/5 — Must have tool for radio operators

*2025-03-29, version 2.3.5*

This app works great. Still missing some radios but quite a few on there.

### 5/5 — Crashes under Apple iOS 18.3.1

*2025-02-20, version 2.3.5*

Uninstall and reinstalling fixed
