Overall this app is a godsend. As it has been said by many others, it is definitely clunky to set up. There has to be a better way, but since I’m not a designer I’m not gonna complain too much. I haven’t searched around for similar products, I just had this app recommended to me by a fellow actor in my show… And I’m finding it extremely useful. Please continue to improve and refine it. Even if eventually you have to charge a little for it… Please make it easier and smoother to use. But thank you for your hard work so far.

I’m an intermediate tech learner and it was a short learning curve figuring out how to use this app (which seems to echo how most line reader apps work). This has served me for the last seven shows in three years. Never do a show without it any more.

This app wasn’t fantastic. It kept on glitching when I pressed cancel or done. It saved someone else lines instead of mine.

Uggggghhh I need an app that will not glitch and there is no more information on how to use this app. You need to explain it more like a Video.

This is one of those apps that is extremely useful if you can figure out how to use it. Like other reviewers, I have had problems finding scenes, getting characters to show up in the scene menu, recording, etc. Turns out it’s all about the initial set up of the scene in the “Works” tab. Not only do you need to create your scene and add your characters but you also need to toggle on the switches for each character. Only then can you record lines- or even mute them (which makes no sense). Anyhow, the app works well – it’s just not intuitive which can be frustrating.

If the developer would update the app with a smoother interface, I would happily pay for it (once I know it works, of course!).

I use the app all the time to learn lines. It is very helpful. However, I cannot make it play via air pods ever since i’ve upgraded the os on my phone. :( and now it is unusable

As a new amateur actor I found this to be a fantastic aide.   I got all my lines (and my fellow actors lines) recorded so I could rehearse without having to bother my friends and family.  

I have considered paying the subscription so that I can sync the other actors but of course, they would all have to pay too wouldn’t they?  Not sure yet if that’s correct and I can’t work it out.  

Nevertheless... I’m enjoying it and the tutorial video is very clear

I have a difficult time motivating myself to learn lines, and I tend procrastinate because I find the task very daunting. This app makes it possible for me to run lines on my commute and has really been a godsend in learning the latest script. Definitely recommended for my fellow community theater performers! And, of course for the professionals as well.

I want to tell you about this awesome app I found while trying to learn lines to 15 mini scripts.  It was created by an actor faced with the same dilemmas I was facing with no one to rehearse with. 

It has a very simple interface.  I didn’t need to view the videos to figure out how to use it. With a few learning lessons after my lines were not saved, it becomes second nature. For those not technologically inclined, I highly recommend the videos. 

You don’t have to do the traditional upload of a paper script like other apps do. It’s a bit tedious at firs, as you have to record every characters’ line with your voice. You tell it which character you are reading for, then you can have it run all the lines (even yours) so you can recite with it or you can tell it to mute your lines. It can also ding every time to prompt your turn to read your line. This way your brain learns when it’s your turn to speak. When I had a tough few sentences to memorize, I ran it in the car on my way to set & had it repeat my line over & over until I kept in sync with my own voice recording. When I nailed it, I went on to the next line. 

It has been very handy for my most recent gig. 

There is a fee, if you want to back up your data in case you lose your phone or something happens to it. I am able to log in from my phone or iPad after syncing it to the cloud. You can also collaborate with your other cast members when they subscribe as well. 

Steven, the creator, is very responsive to emails, so compliments are very appreciated on his end. 

Try it today. You will wish you had tried it a long time ago!!!!

Very easy to use - the training videos are exceptional. If you don’t want to record each character separately, you can always just record your lines and “others.”

This is a great app to use, but do not pay extra to use the line sync function.  I would rate it four out of 5, except that I wanted to use line sync for our six person cast.  It does not work, although you are still charged for it and the developer has not responded to my emails. 
It has been a month, my “subscription” expired but I’ve never received a response back.  Very disappointing.

I thought this was free and would actually help with memorizing lines but the second I got it, the app had me make up scenes which wasted my time that I could have used actually memorizing lines because when the scenes were created, it said I couldn’t use them unless I subscribed and payed $30 a month! What a rip off!

This is my go to app for memorizing my lines.  I spend a lot of time in my car and use this to work on my lines when I’m driving.  Also great while cleaning the house and doing other mind-numbing activities.  So excited with the recent update.

been having trouble practicing my lines, as i have a lot of them and no one to practice them with. this app answered all my prayers, it’s a little hard to understand at first but once you get it it’s so helpful for practicing scenes and memorizing lines. love it !!

I have used this app for over 10 shows, both small parts and large.  

Downside: It takes a little time playing a round to get used to it and figure it out, and depending on the size of your part, can take several hours/days to get it all recorded.

Upside: This has been a game changer for me!  It allows me to work on my lines while driving and I don’t have to have someone on book.  Love that I can choose to say my lines with the recording, or allow a pause for me to say my line and then hear if I got it right.

This app is so wonderful! I’ve used it for years to memorize my lines. It offers many options when rehearsing, such as muting lines, speed adjustments, autoplay, and much more. It makes it easy to pick what characters are in each scene and easy to edit if you need to change something. This app has been a lifesaver, and I would definitely recommend it.

This app is super helpful, to put it bluntly! You basically record yourself (or you and the cast of your show, if you want) saying the whole script, and you can listen back to it scene-by-scene with the option to mute your own lines so you can say and learn them. I’ve been using this app for maybe a year and a half and it’s never done me dirty. Only complaint is that I haven’t found a way to learn a monologue with this app, but that’s not a big deal as there are many many other ways of doing that.

I love this app. Thank you! Very simple to use. You can record the lines in one take or in instalments.  It is particularly helpful that it is so easy to edit recorded lines and change the order or add some in that may have been forgotten. Great also for learning mini monologues by putting those sections on repeat mode.

This is the Best And Most Helpful App Ever!! Thank you so so much, super helpful features (I love the added pause before line, very helpful for when you’re just getting the lines down), and the video tutorials as well make everything so easy! I got all scenes and lines inputted in just an hour, and it’s not a small part either!! This app is going to absolutely revolutionize the way I learn my parts.
I would add one thing if I could, the ability to select yourself as playing more than one character? It would help if you have multiple lines as many different roles throughout the scenes. Other than that, there’s nothing I would change!

This has been a lifesaver for me while I do summer theatre where I'm rehearsing two or three shows at once! I can use my commute to run lines or find a quiet corner and rehearse scenes over and over without frustrating anyone else or using their time. I love the idea of linesync, though I haven't yet used it. It's been so great!

I’ll get the bad stuff out of the way because there isn’t much. The interface is a bit of a mess. It’s not very appealing and usability is pretty poor. That’s it. Everything else about the app is great once you learn your way around. You have to record your lines and your cues which takes a bit of time but once that’s out of the way it’s well worth it. There are several configurable playback settings and you organize your sides in works (play, show, etc.) and scenes. This tool cuts my prep time in half and I don’t need to bug friends to read for me. I highly recommend this app.
