Enough said.

### 5/5 — Handy and easy

*2017-01-06, version 2.4*

So convenient. I usually enter time after the fact and it's handy to have the 15 minute default increments.

### 5/5 — Great app man love it

*2016-07-21, version 2.4*

It sucked typing all the dates in before hahaa

### 5/5 — Keeps me organised

*2016-05-20*

I'm the world's worst at organisation but this app has been a great help to stop my boss nagging me about my timesheet. Love having it to hand as I go from client to client. So happy that I'm just about to upgrade

### 2/5 — No export

*2016-05-17, version 2.4*

Couldn't figure out how to export/email the report. Useless to me without this option. Seemed straightforward to use otherwise.

### 5/5 — Great

*2016-05-09*

Unbelievably simple, yet with the functions you need. What you don't need with a time management app is something that wastes half you time using it and this is quick, logical and with a nice look to it. Well done! Will move on to the paid app now.

### 4/5 — My portable time clock

*2016-04-26, version 2.4*

I'm a carpenter and visit many different jobs sometimes in the same day, this app helps me organized. It is one of my most used apps, and was very easy to use right out of the box.

### 5/5 — Simple & Organized

*2016-03-15, version 2.4*

I'm ADD, this app keeps me on task and my time sheet backed up

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Buyer Beware - Scam NO sync

*2020-09-01*

You need to buy the pro version to get it to sync. After purchasing the pro version I realized you have to buy the desktop version to actually get it to sync.
Essentially all other time tracking apps have a sync function between iPad and iPhone. Those are much better solutions. This software is in beta and should be avoided.

**Developer response:** Hi Hanson! The desktop version does handily sync all your devices together. If that's all that you'll need it for, drop me an email at support@officetime.net and I'll buy you a copy. Same goes to anyone.

### 1/5 — Falso

*2018-02-11*

Não perca tempo. Não é grátis. Ultimamente estas coisas estão dando nojo na Apple store.

**Developer response:** Hi! You can use 2 projects and 3 categories for free. We'd love to make it fully free but then we'd have no money to pay for all the nice little upgrades.

### 1/5 — I think I’m being ripped off.....

*2018-01-27*

Deleted this app before demo expired and now you are trying to charge my Apple account.

**Developer response:** Hi Mark! This is a free app and has no in-app purchases or subscriptions or trial period. In fact, we have no ability at all to charge your Apple account. Don't worry. We're not charging you.

There's a separate paid version of OfficeTime available but you'd have to buy that to be charged. And, if you did, we have a full money back guarantee so I'm happy to refund you. Please contact me right away on support@officetime.net and I'll get it all sorted out for you.

### 1/5 — free version waste of time

*2017-12-06*

The pro version may be ok but an email to developer to ask about what an exported report includes went unanswered.

**Developer response:** Hi! Sorry you didn't get a response. We're normally quite good at answering emails. I don't see an email that looks like it might have been from you. Can you resend? The pro version can export anything you see. Timesheet, reports, etc. And you can export either the summary or detailed report. It exports to Excel or Numbers.

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2016-11-01*

Garbage

**Developer response:** Hiya! If there's anything going wrong with it, I'd love to hear. Drop me a line at support@officetime.net - Stephen

### 1/5 — Another "free" app that's not

*2016-10-03, version 2.4*

I'm so sick of apps claiming to be free when they are not! I'm just looking for a free, easy time keeping app and this is not it. After entering 2 days they were asking me to upgrade and pay.

### 1/5 — Missing & moved event dates

*2016-05-03, version 2.4*

After trying out the free desktop version I noticed that there are now a bunch of missing events on the calendar I chose to sync with from my ical!! Some events have been moved around to different days and some of them now say "ADMIN" even after I changed the category type they still say "ADMIN". I also could not import my contacts and could not sync to the app on my iPhone unless I pay for the full version. This was supposed to help me get organized and now I just dug myself into a deeper hole with this POS program!!

### 1/5 — Not optimized for iPhone 6

*2015-05-15, version 2.3*

UI is enlarged and wasting screen space

### 1/5 — Awkward to work with

*2014-10-25, version 2.1*

I tried this out and found I couldn't flow between categories very smoothly. It's an awkward transfer between tasks which doesn't cut it when you have change as a result of a phone call. If you never use the phone or don't have to switch categories, it may work for you. The trial version is really limited. Unfortunately, I didn't find all this out using just the trial. Scrapping it.

### 1/5 — Useless with limits on projects

*2013-07-14, version 1.9*

No point to this app because they limit the amount of projects you can track.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great 😊

*2023-10-09*

I have been using this app for over 10 years and I use it to time my job so I know how much to charge based on the hourly rate that I set for each client. it’s working very well on my Mac, iPhone, and iPad. I did purchase the subscription because I wanted to use the cloud sync which works very well.

I emailed their support the other day and they were fairly quick to respond to the email and was very helpful. There also is a reporting feature so if you need to calculate for tax season all the jobs and how much you made, you can easily do that by filtering for the whole year or doing a custom filter for other years.

Personally, I think it’s good to make a project for each client or at least that is is what I’m doing.
When you’re in the projects, you can select a project tap the edit button and you can set a default hourly rate for that project. You set the hourly rates in the categories area.
So basically when you’re in the settings for the projects, you can set a default category for that project so every time you add a new timer to that project it will use that hourly rate, but you can always change the hourly rate/category on the fly also.

### 5/5 — Great product

*2022-10-05*

This is a great product! If you need to track billable time it does everything you need. I much prefer it to Timeslips. It isn’t high maintenance, doesn’t require lots of set up time, and it never crashes.

### 5/5 — OfficeTime

*2020-03-30*

The most direct and usable time tracker I have found. Exports to excel or use the desktop partner app. Super.

### 5/5 — Great for small businesses!

*2020-02-05*

I have the desktop software "OfficeTime" which syncs up well with this app. I am a musician and work a lot from home and need to track time and project sessions accurately and keep great records for my clients. This is a very customizable app and software that works well for my needs. I like that you can download the program to your computer and not rely on the cloud services most other companies use. I would highly recommend this for any small business that needs to track time and projects.

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2019-08-28*

Good: Only one payment no subscription.
Bad: Please let’s us the possibility to add more categories, projects and see the report in the demo
Until now it’s the best I’ve tried

### 5/5 — Kerry M

*2019-07-07*

Very happy with the App - extremely easy to use and highly recommend.

**Developer response:** Thanks Kerry! We try hard! 🙂

### 5/5 — Really great app.

*2019-01-01*

I have looked through so many apps for what I need and I can’t help coming back to this one. It’s simple and uncomplicated to use. It allows me to keep track of all my different times I work with overtime. I would suggest though that it would be even greater if it would calculate number of days worked, and had a component for taxation deduction to calculate nett pay not just gross pay. Other than that I love this app and use it everyday.

**Developer response:** Ah, thanks!

Write to me (Stephen) at support@officetime.net to tell me more about how you'd like to see the tax deduction work.

### 5/5 — Five star

*2018-12-13*

Works really well for what I need.

### 5/5 — Its Great

*2018-05-07*

Really Great App helps out alot when They Try saying I Worked Less Hours Then I Really Did

### 5/5 — Great way to track time on multiple projects

*2017-12-08*

The free version is just Ok, but the paid version has the better options. Managing 2-3 projects at a time is quite easy.
