It would only show me vegetarian and vegan dishes. But since a few months, it has been showing me meat dishes all the time despite having all the filters and preferences to vegetarian or vegan. ### 4/5 — Essential for Thermomix Cooking *2026-08-15* This is a must for cooking with Thermomix; it makes all the difference to the ease of use. What I would say is that the search function could be improved. Sometimes recipes go into hiding; they just don’t come up in a search and I have to ask on a Thermomix Facebook group I’m in for someone to send me the lonk to it. Also, I would love to be able to search by ingredients, so if I have a spare courgette I can see a list of all the things I can do with it. Overall though I’m happy to keep the subscription going and I hope that one day the app will become more developed. ### 2/5 — Much better free apps available but is needed for Thermomix *2026-08-14, version 26.7.1* There are much better recipe apps but this really is needed to use for Thermomix. Lots of features are missing/lacking eg. needs a much more user friendly way to import/add your own recipes, need to be able to see user feedback on recipes made and really needs the option to add household members to the account. After quite a while we were constantly going out dining Chinese for particularly dishes it was so expensive. I wanted to create my own also knowing what I was putting in. I came across the dishes. The rest is history. Our Thermo (Nev) saved us money and time. Of course the password was forgotten by this machine and yours truly. I changed it via Cookidoo which took me to a Vorwerk site, or was it Thermomix? I dunno. * Seems there’s 3 places (Vorwerk, Thermomix and Cookidoo) I’m supposed to use. I’m 73 and used to the simple things in life. Let’s make this the way it should be. KISS - Keep It Simple Stupid. The only benefit I can see is that it feeds the recipes into your thermomix & allows a step by step on the thermo screen. The app itself is awful. For a food app looking to charge $90 per month, the search is awful & redirects you to collections (more lists of recipes) rather than acting like a database. You can’t even apply basic filters - not even for major groups like ‘vegetarian’ let alone what I was expecting such as being able to select basic dietary requirements in a profile & then perhaps search by additional ingredients. Save your money, pay for ChatGPT or just use google AI for free. ### 1/5 — Application is not accessible *2026-07-13* This app is currently not accessible for blind users. I am wondering if it is possible for your development team to optimize the application and make it work with voiceover. I use the same recipes; there aren’t that many new precipices, so €60 is completely unjustified! ### 1/5 — Excellent recipe content, frustrating discovery experience. *2026-06-14, version 26.5.0* I’ve been using Cookidoo for years, but the recommendation system feels surprisingly poor. As a vegetarian who has never cooked a TM meat or fish recipe, I still regularly receive meat and fish recommendations “for me”, which makes the personalisation feel ineffective. There is also a lot of duplication. Instead of helping users discover the thousands of recipes available, the app often surfaces multiple versions of very similar dishes while much of the library remains hidden. Another missed opportunity is ratings and reviews. Cookidoo rarely seems to encourage feedback after cooking, so ratings are often sparse and don’t help much when choosing between recipes. The recipes themselves are generally excellent, and that’s what makes this so frustrating. Compared with apps like New York Times Cooking, the recommendation and discovery experience feels years behind where it could be. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Exceeded beyond my expectations. *2026-08-23* Juggling full time work and raising a family isn’t easy. On top of that, planning, prepping and preparing food that is healthy and easy, is near impossible week in week out, getting rather repetitive and boring. Until now. The extensive and ever growing recipe collection, with all the preparation and cooking handled in ONE devise, it could not get any simpler and enjoyable to cook again. Even my 15 year old joins in! Only question I have is; why has someone not told me about Thermomix and Cookidoo app before?!
