However, I think the premium is a little ridiculously priced especially with how much is locked behind a paywall. What annoys me the most is that to change your email, you have to contact support and I tried a dozen times to do that and they pretty much ghosted me every time. Horrible customer support. ### 3/5 — Repetitive Daily Questions *2025-03-03* My bf and I have been using Official for about a year now and were really impressed at first but now looking for a different alternative. To start off I should preface, we did not pay for the subscription and used only the free version. At first we both really enjoyed answering the daily questions. It was a great way for us to do a check in, and learn something potentially new about each other. We really liked how the questions differed in topic and were generally very diverse. However, over the past month or so we have noticed really drastic decrease in the content of the questions, which given that we use only the free version, were one of the only features we could use in the app. Until a week ago we had never had the same question twice. Last week we had the same question, worded the exact same, within like two days of each other. We thought it was just a fluke until yesterday we got essentially the same question again worded slightly different. This was such a bummer bc one of our fave parts of the day is to answer the question and see how the other person answered and in most cases it sparks a conversation outside of the app. I’m not sure what’s been happening lately but it’s a bummer! **Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback! I think the design is actually just so amazing a great app. I rated it a 4 since it’s kinda pricey, I understand the value but the free version hardly had anything so I just paid for a month with me and my partner. It does seem like an app that I’d come back to. Definitely some more features could be added but overall an amazing app! ### 4/5 — i love official BUT *2025-01-19, version 2502* STOP CHANGING THE LAYOUT. the layout just keeps getting worse with each update, and specifically this most recent one, it’s hard to even find check in which me and my partner use daily. also, it’s now on a 24 hour timer, instead of being able to do it once a day at any point in the day. it makes it much more likely to forget about it because instead of being able to do it when i remember and finish it for the day, now it’ll say “3 hours and 11 minutes remaining” for example. but my partner and i love this app and have been using it for probably a couple years now, just stop changing it 😭 ### 3/5 — It’s losing us slowly :/ *2025-01-18* So, me and my partner downloaded this app over a year ago as a way to stay connected and grow early on in our relationship and we LOVED it. Bought the premium immediately and have had it ever since. We still adore the daily questions. The interface of the app and the organization of it was perfect. Slowly however, everything has just been made into these tabs that you have to scroll through that make finding anything just a little tedious. We have to click on the four boxes in the corner to get to actual intimacy swipes, memories, etc. We really loved the way the app was before they started changing the main menu. So much so that we’re thinking about finding another app. Another problem is check-in questions. We stopped checking in a while ago because the questions were so broad and repetitive rather than things that sparked us to talk about something specific about our day and each other. It did give us the idea to start manually checking in though and syncing up. We hope that it might change and we’ll give it some more time but the app is slowly degrading. **Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback! But they have done 2 updates in the last month. Honestly it’s really annoying they keep the same things but change where buttons are and everything. They have done at least 4 updates in the last year. So we decided we wanted to find a new app. So anyone who hates the updates but likes the idea of the app download “Paired”. Are you guys using flutter on iOS? ### 4/5 — Intimacy cards *2025-01-12, version 2501* Overall really cool app, I’ve been using it for a couple months now but one of the big things that kept me coming back and checking in daily with the app were the intimacy cards. For the past couple months Official says I’ve gone through all of them but I know that can’t be true since with the magic 8 ball they claim to have hundreds of cards. Please add more cards to intimacy fix a bug blocking me from swiping more. ### 3/5 — Fell off *2025-01-10, version 2501* I used to love this app. Now they make you pay for everything that used to be free. If you don’t want to pay for an app (like most people) there’s really no reason to keep or download the app. I loved the “set your mood” feature and now I can’t find it on the app, granted Ive just started using it again after a year of not. You get 5 intimacy swipes and 1 question per day. No quizzes. Just kind of a bummer, bc when we downloaded it was awesome. Now it feels like everything is a money grab. We also downloaded it fairly early on (like the app wasn’t very old) so it was a shock when it all of a sudden wanted to charge us for stuff it wasn’t before. ### 3/5 — Great concept, app is clunky *2025-01-03, version 2452* Me and my partner have been using official for the last 6 months. Whilst the content has been really good and we especially enjoy the quizzes as well as the daily questions. The new layout is clunky and not intuitive. The previous layout was much easier to navigate and something more akin to this would be better. As such our usage has reduced and I hope they have plans to refresh their look again as the hold to reveal features and tabs make it feel archaic and distracting not rewarding. If they could fix the bugs and clunky UI I’d gladly go back to giving this a 4/5 stars, for the time being I’d struggle to recommend it to friends in its current UI ### 3/5 — App freezes sometimes *2024-12-29, version 2450* I loved the app until before the new update. However, why am I getting the exact same relationship tip for the past 3-4 days in a row? It used to change after every daily question you answered, now it’s the same one every day. I used to love this app. It was such an interesting idea and it worked so well when my partner and I first got it (I’ve a year ago). However, over the past 6-8 months I’d say it’s become increasingly buggy to the point where it’s practically unusable. It’s clear it can’t handle the ‘updates’ you’ve attempted to make. It crashes all the time but especially when you try to log a memory. App will crash, and close its self down. It goes so slow. It’s quite infuriating. Even cause my phone to completely crash sometimes ( I have no problems on any other apps, but just when o try to use this one). If it could go back to how it was a year ago it would be five stars. But I downloaded the app on my apple watch just for the lols and I’m wondering if it’s an app you can actually USE on your apple watch?
