Finally had one unlock only to discover a broke chain. There’s no way that this could stay in business as a for profit company. Sadly it’s just wasting tax payer funds and my day. ### 1/5 — The service is cool - the app is TERRIBLE *2021-06-07* Honestly, I could write a better app than this in 20 minutes and I’m a pretty bad programmer. The interface is unusable, it’s doesn’t offer all of the available options, you can’t scroll where it says to “scroll for more”...I could go on but I’ve wasted enough time with this app. Boooooo ### 1/5 — Won’t let anyone create an account *2020-10-14* For the lucky few that were able to get past the first information page were either stopped in their tracks at the credit card page or user agreement page. From not accepting credit cards to simply not allowing us to confirm agreement and create account this has been terrible. We did the bike share a few years go with a different app and it was awful as well but at least we got it to work. ### 1/5 — Worst app ever developed *2020-09-27* This is the least useful app ever. Simply put, it does not work. I entered my credit card multiple times and it rejected every time. When I look on my American Express app I can see the pending charge, which means I entered the information correctly. Yet I still get an “invalid card” error. Summit county should find a new bike share app to use. ### 1/5 — Disappointed and Frustrated! *2020-09-21, version 1.12* We really wanted to do this, but after trying to register two credit cards unsuccessfully, we gave up. What’s up, Summit Bike Share?!? ### 1/5 — Garbage app *2020-09-15, version 1.11* Very frustrating. I’ve put my information in multiple times and when I hit ‘save’ nothing happens. I gave up on it, which is a bummer because I’d love to be out riding one these bikes today. I hope the developer reads this and does something about it. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2020-08-23, version 1.11* I downloaded the app and went to find a bike. All stations listed 0 bikes available. I called and was told it was because my app was not up to date. But it is. It is just not functional. ### 1/5 — Good luck! *2020-08-21, version 1.11* 2 out of the 3 bikes we rented worked 50% or less of our ride, otherwise you were struggling to move a very heavy bike. Don’t go anywhere you don’t want to be stuck. Half of the other bikes at the kiosk were broken, no brakes, missing chain, etc. Can’t count on these bikes - but hey if you get one thats working & maintained you’ll have fun. ### 1/5 — Ridiculous amount of time to sign up *2020-08-16, version 1.11* Good luck getting more than 1 bike & it’ll take 30+ min to get one!! ### 1/5 — Horrible App *2020-08-08* This company must be losing tons of money with this horrible app. We have been trying for several weeks to rent a bike, but the app keeps saying there’s a problem with the credit card. I have tried all four of my credit cards which all should work. I have read many many other reviews stating the same problem. I even couldn’t finish my registration and the app gets frozen. ### 1/5 — Untrustworthy app, owner and customer service *2025-06-12* Poor customer service, rude, unprofessional doesn’t honor what was listed on his website and changed it thereafter. App is buggy and unsecured. Midway entering your address or credit card info it freezes then crashes, feels unsafe to leave credit card info. One has to reenter all info again from start. Now want to delete account and it won’t allow it as you have to call to delete and customer service is rude with attitude. Stay away from this company. We all simultaneously attempt to rent enough bikes for each of us, knowing that the odds that any of us actually succeed without the app crashing are slim. The app turned our last 20 minute bike ride into a 90 minute ride, since we spent so much time trying to rent the bikes out than we did actually riding. BOO ### 1/5 — App crashing *2024-07-25, version 4.29* The app keeps crashing, so we can’t rent bikes! ### 1/5 — Fail *2021-09-03, version 3.7* Wanted to ride bikes in Park City. The app would never accept my billing address despite a half dozen tries. Tried it on my boyfriend’s phone with his card. Didn’t work either. Lost our business and wasted our time. ### 1/5 — Use once, they have credit card info forever *2021-08-29* We used these on a vacation in a town 10 hours away from home. Odds are that we wont be back but there is no way to delete our credit card from the app. Similar to another user review, we also had trouble getting the app to take our credit card at all. One tip for use is to remove the bike from the lock as soon as you here it open. Any delay and you will have to either call customer service or find a different bike to unlock. The bikes lock back up quickly and then the app wont cooperate for that particular bike again. ### 1/5 — Great idea, horrible experiences *2021-07-14* Twice we have tried to use their bikes. Both times we’ve had nothing but problems with their bikes. Issues mechanically, issues renting the bikes, and also issues with a bike “losing connection” that led to being stuck without a bike or anywhere near by to get a replacement. Customer service is not great as well. So far it has involved two phone calls to straighten out the bike that lost connection, explaining both times where the bike is and why I am still not using it. Won’t be using this service again. ### 1/5 — Sketchy, be careful! *2021-06-23* New riders. Vending machine was broken so we used the app. Very buggy, took many attempts to unlock. Then both my wife and my bikes had safety issues (handlebars came loose while riding), and now support is dragging their feet to refund us the rental fee despite sending us into traffic on sketchy bikes. Only had 2 problems, 1 being a bike tire being flat and electricity didn’t work once. I am very hesitant to share credit card info with anyone. Unfortunately I had to go through all my credit cards only to learn that all are “invalid”. So much potential for this new company! ### 4/5 — Excellent system *2023-07-18* None of the concerns raised in the other reviews have happened to me. I have used these bikes to quickly get anywhere in town using the excellent bike path network, and at $30/month for unlimited 45 minute rides it comes in at less than half the price to rent a bike for a day. Docking and undocking is simple and straightforward, the bikes seem well maintained and the pedal assist makes getting up hills easy (I biked from Main Street to Deer Valley most days in the hottest part of summer and barely broke a sweat). As one user mentioned, I do not see a way to delete my credit card info from the app, but deactivating your account is a simple alternative. There are some places with an abundance of docks and other areas with none, so you may not have a dock right next to your destination, but that’s the only real complaint I have and it’s really minimal. ### 2/5 — Really bad app *2025-08-26, version 6.13* It continually crashes and prevents you from completing a transaction…. ### 2/5 — Limited account sharing if using a pass *2021-03-25* As a local in Summit County I bought an annual pass for myself. Once downloaded I lost the ability to check out bikes for my guests. The app needs a button so additional bikes may be charged to the same account.
