Officiating Journal is the game log built for working sports officials: football, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, volleyball, track, ice hockey, wrestling, lacrosse, and flag football. LOG EVERY ASSIGNMENT Record the matchup, level, rules, division, conference, venue, crew, and your position. Log during the game (quick taps for scoring plays, fouls, timeouts, and reviews, with a live running score) or fill in the full card afterward. Each sport gets its own periods, crew positions, and event types, and NFHS, NCAA, pro, and youth rulebooks change what you log. Add photos of the crew, scoreboard, or field to any game; they stay on your device. ASSIGNMENTS ON YOUR CALENDAR Schedule a game the moment the assignor sends it, or import your ArbiterSports schedule. Upcoming games sit at the top of your list, and one tap puts them on Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, or Outlook with kickoff, arrival time, and venue. On game day, tap Start logging. KNOW YOUR NUMBERS (PRO) Game fees with unpaid, invoiced, and paid status; mileage as reimbursement or tax deduction at the IRS rate for each game's date; travel expenses; season insights; and a tax-year packet with a 1099-by-assignor report for your accountant. Pro is a one-time purchase. Logging is free, forever. YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS Works offline. Everything lives on your device unless you create an optional account to sync between phone, tablet, and the web app at officiatingjournal.app. Sync is end-to-end encrypted with a passphrase only you know, so we can't read your games. Back up, export a spreadsheet, delete your account, or move to a new phone any time. Built by an official's family, for officials. ## Pricing and in-app purchases Base price: Free. **One-time purchases** | Purchase | Price | Type | | --- | --- | --- | | Pro Unlock | $9.99 | one-time | ## Version history (last 5 releases) ### 1.4.1 — 2026-09-16 Eleven sports, photos, and your tax packet. • Four new sports: ice hockey, wrestling (dual meets), lacrosse (boys and girls books), and flag football. • Photos on a game: crew, scoreboard, field. They stay on your device and never leave it. • Import your ArbiterSports schedule from the ⋯ menu; every assignment lands in Upcoming. • Pro: Season insights and a Tax-year packet with mileage at the IRS rate for each game's date. • Text size setting under Appearance, and bigger back buttons. • Delete my account, in the account sheet, if you ever want your cloud data gone. ### 1.3.2 — 2026-09-11 Level and Rules, sorted out. • Level is who's playing; Rules is the rulebook your association enforces. They're separate on purpose, so Texas high school football under NCAA rules just works. Picking a level no longer changes the rules you chose. • The app remembers the rules you use for each sport and level, so the next game is filled in for you. • New level: Middle School / Jr High, with its own divisions. • Sport, Level, Rules, Division and Conference now sit together at the top of the game form. Also in this release: Invite a fellow official from the ⋯ menu, and a one-time request for a rating after your fifth game. ### 1.3.1 — 2026-09-11 New name, same app: Official's Journal is now Officiating Journal, matching the web app at officiatingjournal.app. For new officials: • A short welcome on first launch, with sample games you can poke at and remove. • A Getting Started checklist at the top of your list that ticks itself off as you go. For everyone: • Invite a fellow official from the ⋯ menu. One tap shares a ready-made note. • Forgot your sync passphrase? Approve a new device from one that's already signed in. No passphrase needed. • Edit game info is always available, and the web app tells you when a new version is ready. ### 1.2.3 — 2026-09-10 Forgot your sync passphrase? You're no longer stuck. • Approve from my other device: on a new phone or computer, tap it and any device that's already signed in and unlocked shows "Approve this device?" One tap and the new device syncs. No passphrase needed. • Clearer guidance on the passphrase screen: if you're signed in somewhere else, you can set a new passphrase there. • A gentle one-week check-in asks whether you saved your passphrase somewhere safe. Plus the fixes from 1.2.2: Edit game info is always available, and the web app tells you when a new version is ready. ### 1.2.2 — 2026-09-09 Small but important fixes. • Edit game info is always available on every game, no matter what. If a section ever fails to display, the rest of the screen still works and the button is still there. • On the web app, you'll now see a "new version is ready" notice with a Refresh button when an update lands, so you never run an old copy without knowing. • The app shows its version number in the ⋯ menu and at the bottom of the game list, which makes support questions quicker to answer. ## Apps similar to Officiating Journal | App | Rating | Price | Category | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | [Officials Assistant](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/officials-assistant/id1447764972) | 2.0 (1) | $3.99 | Sports | | [StripeTime](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/stripetime/id6757723055) | — | Free | Sports | | [NASO Members](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/naso-members/id1103945119) | 3.7 (3) | Free | Sports | | [Baseball Rules](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/baseball-rules/id1495289484) | 4.4 (50) | Free | Sports | | [Notch Sports](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/notch-sports/id6692606954) | 4.7 (367) | Free | Sports | | [Kansas City Baseball](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/kansas-city-baseball/id872384884) | — | Free | Sports | ## More apps by Murray Movement Labs LLC - [Get Dressed Now](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/get-dressed-now/id6808876387) All apps by Murray Movement Labs LLC: https://appshunter.io/developer/6798305415 --- *Data collected daily from the US App Store and indexed by [AppsHunter](https://appshunter.io/).
