Die App ist totaler Müll und hat mit dem Original nichts zu tun. Sieht eher nur nach Abzocke aus. Dateien Lokal öffnen geht nicht. Dateien landen auf unbekannten Server. Verunglimpft einfach alle OpenSource Projekte. Dies gilt für alle Apps dieses Entwicklers.

I am a retired technology professional and this app is very inefficient and poorly designed.  I hate this because I used the Open Office Suite by Apache on my Mac and it is a great product.  I help design several apps for my company and I understand the challenges. The screen for this app is a medium gray and difficult to see, the tool bar is blurry and the key board does not pop up immediately and is difficult to locate.  If you could make the interface more like the Mac product I would buy it.  But this product is sub-par in comparison to Pages (which has a Word conversation tool) or Citrix Share product.  Hardly ever give a bad review but so disappointed in this app and will be removing it from my device.

Looks like everything is grayed out, very hard to see, even harder to use, extremely glitchy and not even remotely user friendly. About all I could do with ease is create and name empty text documents.

This is a remotely-hosted instance of either OpenOffice or SmartOffice, viewed through a browser window, instantiated by the app.  It''s essentially a hobbled screen-sharing app, tied only to SmartOffice and OpenOffice.  Other screen sharing apps, such as we use on Zoom dot com, allow full use of the keyboard.  This app frequently ignores keystrokes, is unresponsive to any of the arrow keys of iOS, and will not allow highlighting and selection of text for copying and pasting.  It's the worst editing app since StarOffice for the IBM PC, and completely ruins the experience of working with either OpenOffice or SmartOffice.

Way to slow and glitchy. Using a iPad 9th gen. Key board won’t open to write. Can’t find or open my own documents but there’s a lot stored on the app itself. Tried to open a couple to see if I could start a fresh page, but no luck. Definitely a waste of time. I did however enjoy the old layout! Brings back some memories. Easy to use. IF it worked!

This app isn't ready for use yet . I gave it 2 stars only because of the nostalgic value .
 Keep working on it though . I think it's something people really want

I need an ap to import, edit and export .odt docs.  This is a poor solution.  There are two parts: the first pretends to be an OpenOfficeWriter environment but you can't see the right side of the window (you are forced to portrait orientation) and the file system bears no relation to the ipad so can't see how to get my doc in/out.  The second, Smart Editor, takes at least 20 secs to open a 50Kb doc (copied from email no bother), while you ty to close a full screen ad.  The Smart Editor needs a keyboard with cursor keys, or you're stuck with the scroll bar, which is very clumsy.  Page refreshes have a satellite delay.  Having figured work-arounds for mis-mapped characters and tabs, I find the search field invaluable to jump to a point in the doc, only for it to be covered by a banner ad.  I save regularly and swipe to another ap and back only to find the Smart Editor resets itself to the start of the document.  After about 20 min editing I save and exit to produce a worrying small (bytes) doc which is of course some corrupted spit-out, so the save function is useless and I've wasted my time.  Don't even try to leave the ap open while you lock the screen; it will crash.  You have to exit, hopefully strike lucky with it saving your work, immediately export to the ipad's files ap for safe-keeping, then close and restart next time.  The ap refuses to work offline.  It's painfully slow, clunky and unreliable; the antithesis of OpenOffice.  Two stars because if you learn its tantrums you can technically edit a document, but it's very hard and repetitive work.
