You get the same level of awareness by drawing it out on a piece of paper. **Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback. The APP was designed to increase Situational Awareness and reduce workload when flying offshore, especially in marginal weather and planning an ARA/GPS approach. The ability to plot and visualise obstructions on any platform or vessel, with the ability to upload a photo of the facility, far out performs a piece of paper and how the information is provided. ### 4/5 — Offshore Line Induction Training *2019-01-26* I have been a TRE on many different Helicopter types and been involved with line and simulator training for experienced and new offshore pilots in various parts of the world. This APP provides the foundation for highlighting the importance of obstacle orientation and wind direction. The ability to to enter 2 values into APP provide an instantaneous solution to the best and safest approach for any platform or vessel! ### 5/5 — good *2024-12-09* good ### 5/5 — helicopter *2021-09-10* I would love to have it holly say holly please give it to me holly ### 5/5 — Remarkable initiative *2019-06-06* Landing an helicopter safely on the helideck of an offshore facility requires a very specialized skill: preventing that parts of your helicopter that you can’t see hit obstacles out of your visual field, based on the imaginary boundaries of an obstacle-free sector, assumed based on the relative position of helideck markings: the H letter and the aiming circle. This app can be very helpful to ascertain the desired effect of the above mentioned skill. ### 5/5 — Simple and Fast to use *2019-03-05* Easy to make changes to heading and wind and see the big picture. Paper plotting got messy when things got busy with frequent ship/target movement. This was a breeze to make changes and updates to ship positions based on approach track. Way better than writing plots on paper. This app will be part of my flight bag every day I fly offshore. **Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback! We have completed a new update that will automatically calculate the crosswind component when the inbound heading is selected on the 2nd page of the APP.
