## What is Oh Crap Hey?

Life gets busy. It's easy to lose touch with friends and family. Oh Crap Hey gives you a gentle nudge to reconnect with the people you care about — on your own terms.

Add the people you want to stay close to, and the app shows you, at a glance, who you haven't connected with in a while. The longer it's been, the higher they float — color-coded so you can scan the list in seconds. Green for under a week, orange for a few weeks, red for "oh crap, it's been too long."

Log a quick reach-out with a swipe, or long-press to message, call, or email directly — and have it logged automatically. Jot a short note about what you talked about so you remember next time. Snooze the people you're taking a break from.

There's no social network, no feed, no notifications begging for attention. All data lives on your device — no account, no cloud sync, no analytics, no tracking. Just you, the people who matter, and a quiet nudge when life has pulled you away from someone you meant to call.

### 5/5 — The help I needed

*2026-05-20*

Love this app. As someone with ADHD, I can think that I need to reach out to someone for days…and still forget. It’s nice to have something there to keep track and help remind me to reach out!

### 5/5 — ADHD hero

*2026-05-19*

Out of sight out of mind is the realest with my adhd brain. I love my friends so much and yet sometimes I forget they exist. Instead of spending too much time scrolling my contacts trying to jog my memory about who I haven’t talked to in a while, I can put all my best people in here and get reminders when it’s been too long. I also work in sales and adding the contacts for all of my buying accounts makes it easy to keep track of who I need to remind about ordering! All in all, excellent app for those of us who are too busy and a little (or a lot) forgetful.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.2.6 — 2026-06-07

Snoozing a contact now has an optional "Remind me when the snooze ends" toggle, for those "remind me to reach out tomorrow" moments. Opt-in, one nudge per snooze, scheduled entirely on your device - no daily nagging, no servers.

### 1.2.5 — 2026-05-18

Move a tracked contact between profiles right from the context menu — pick any other profile and the contact slides over with an animated re-sort. Requires Profiles+ and two or more profiles.

The "last contacted" age now changes at midnight in your local calendar instead of at the per-second anniversary, so a "5 days ago" label stays put for the whole day and rolls over overnight. Applies to the contact row, the home screen widget, and the spoken VoiceOver label.

Fixed a Mac bug where a newly added contact's organization and subtitle could render behind the next row until you scrolled or swiped. The Mac list now paints the full row correctly on first layout.

### 1.2.4 — 2026-05-08

Per-profile urgency thresholds — each profile now has its own "due after" and "overdue after" days. Edit a profile to make "weekly" mean one thing for close friends and another for distant family. The widget reflects each profile's settings.

Reach-out history — every time you log a reach-out, it's saved as a history entry with an optional note. Tap a contact to see the full list, scroll back, edit notes, or delete individual entries. Older entries stick around when you log new ones.

Find contacts fast — pull down on the list to reveal a search field that matches names and company.

Sample data — new users can load a small set of example contacts from Settings to see how the app looks once it's populated.

Smoother first-run — the contacts permission step is now a single "Continue" button, with a clear path back to Settings if access is denied.

### 1.2 — 2026-04-25
