## What is OHIO811?

Established in 1972, OHIO811 is a nonprofit organization that serves as a communication link between utility companies and individuals planning any digging activity. Though OHIO811 does not physically mark lines, we do relay digging and excavation requests to our member network of utilities and underground facility owners. This network includes, but not limited to cable television, natural gas, electrical, water, sewer, and telecommunications companies.

Our continued commitment to advanced technologies has given our organization an advantage, recognized both statewide and nationally. We also devote a significant portion of our time and resources to promoting safe digging throughout the state, through presentations, special events, partnerships, and public education and outreach initiatives.

Download the OHIO811 app, it has lots of helpful information to those new to the "Call Before You Dig" process as well as those familiar with the process.

### 1/5 — Near ticket

*2026-03-06, version 147911745.7.0*

I have been using this app around 10 years doing under ground construction, last 4 years doing safety and compliance. For that time the near ticket function has been a asset with the details. Now it lost 80% of it value for most excavators in the onsite. The last update and switch is worthless.

### 1/5 — Near ticket

*2024-03-05, version 147911745.6.0*

Can’t seem to open up a near ticket.

### 4/5 — Utility worker

*2023-08-24, version 147911745.4.0*

The near ticket does not work since the last update. I use this app daily and it has worked great in the past.

### 4/5 — Can’t open Near Ticket

*2023-08-20, version 147911745.4.0*

I use this app often. I am in charge of going out on utility hits for the company and this app tells me if the crew is working with a valid ticket. After the last update , I can no longer look up the ticket or tickets on the job site. When I open the near ticket, it is telling me that the geolocation has not been authorized. I opened all permissions for the app, but still can not get near ticket to open.

### 5/5 — OUPS

*2014-03-12, version 1.52.95.1696*

This APP gives people that are in the excavation community access to information and services to initiate, view, and manage requests to utility owners for information on the location of buried utilities.
A host of information to support these services including FAQ's is also available.
