It’s provided me with valuable insights into my household’s energy usage, which I hadn’t realised before. For instance, I learned the importance of equal load distribution across each phase. previously, whenever I used a heavy appliance in my hall, it would trip the circuit. Through Ohm Assistant, I understood that this was due to an uneven load on one phase, so I redistributed it, and it’s been working smoothly ever since. The device also highlighted the unexpectedly high energy consumption of certain appliances, like my remote- controlled fan. Additionally, whenever I am away from home, I can monitor if any energy consuming appliances like the geyser or AC are left on. The device needs a lot of improvement in terms of capturing consumption by devices, you cannot rely on continuous feeds and device being online sharply 24*7. This is India and there will be some drops in connectivity. Rather having a small memory within the device which captures the data points and relays when connectivity is good.
