It lost all of my connections to my doctor. When I try to compose a message, it searches for “colleagues”. Not being the medical profession myself, I don’t know what that means. But then it crashes, so I guess I don’t have to worry about it for long. This was a nice app for my use. It is now useless. ### 2/5 — Seems good, but filled with BUGS and LONG overdue for an update *2025-02-05, version 3.0.6* Many patients, including myself, have had to sign out, delete the app, and redownload for the app to even work. Similar to other reviewers, the OhMD app icon does not provide any visual cues that you have UNread/new messages. The app does not spellcheck, and is a very bizarre typing experience—it’s not intuitive and it seems like the 1990s. Support is helpful, but the OhMD IT needs to get with it—we’re living in 2025, not 2000! ### 1/5 — Reviews are accurate - NOT GOOD *2025-02-03, version 3.0.6* It’s a shame because a new medical organization, new to me, said I could use this app to communicate with them and I cannot even get the app to create a new account. Seems to be just sitting out there doing nothing. I do not recommend. ### 3/5 — Good but needs improved notification options *2025-01-18, version 3.0.6* I love the option to text with patients and have the information automatically become part of the record, but it’s easy to miss texts. The app uses your default notification tone, without option to customize for the app, and the notification is temporary, and no indication that you have an unread text if you didn’t hear or see it at the time it came in. For instance with regular text messaging on phone, the number of unread texts are displayed. I miss texts frequently if doing something else on my phone. It has been problematic. Also, no ability to call directly from phone app, and phone number doesn’t display when using on phone. ### 1/5 — chat bugged *2024-12-31, version 3.0.6* this app has been useful until my therapist has stopped receiving my messages. I would send a message and as soon as it refreshes, my message is gone. this has become increasingly annoying with how chat support doesn't even work, stating “something is wrong”. please update this app. ### 1/5 — Notifications do not get sent *2024-12-06, version 3.0.6* Half the time the app won’t open up. Encrypted messaging is worthless, if there are no notifications sent to let you know that your patient has messaged you. This app used to be great, but with the most recent updates, it has become nearly useless. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Doesn’t recognize password *2026-07-15, version 4.27.0* It suddenly logged me off wanting me to sign into a a”test” site. I attempted to use the same password and username I use to get into the web application (as I always have) it states my username or password is incorrect. I deleted and reinstalled the app, same issue. I login into the web application from my phone and the mobile web page is pretty worthless, I can’t get back to all my messages. So I have to get to a laptop to sign into. Not very helpful when you need access at all times. ### 1/5 — So glitchy *2026-02-12, version 4.18.0* I wish they would stop coming out with new features and focus on making it actually work first. The mobile app is terrible, constantly redownloading the app to try to get it to work. Very frustrating. ### 1/5 — Terrible App *2025-12-29, version 4.14.0* This app is garbage. When signing up, it kept telling me there already was an account with my email address, which was untrue. The real issue was with my password length. I switched to a simpler password, then it asked for my phone number. It took multiple attempts to submit my phone number. The button just wouldn’t work. After it finally worked, it sent me an SMS verification code. I inputted the code, and nothing is happening. The “resend code” button doesn’t work. I closed and reopened the app multiple times, and I’m stuck at the same step. I tried logging into the website instead, but I get an error message (“GraphQL Error: Cannot return null for a non-nullable field.”), and the page stays blank. Useless. ### 1/5 — Stopped working *2025-11-09, version 4.11.0* This app used to be decent- only occasionally lagging on showing messages. Now it’s completely stopped working for the last few months, for both me and my provider. Neither of us have been able to use it. It just shows the blank interface loading forever. ### 1/5 — App won’t open *2025-10-13, version 4.9.0* This app used to be really good, but now it is completely worthless. It is impossible to message with patients because it won’t even open. It either sits on a blank screen or a circle just goes around and around. I have chosen to move to a different secure messaging app because this one does not work any longer ### 1/5 — Awful, rarely works *2025-10-11, version 4.9.0* This app is terrible. It won't let me see my provider's messages. Nearly every time, I have to log out and log in to see messages, and this could be multiple times in one day. I've deleted the app and reinstalled it several times, but it doesn't fix the problem. Today (after trying to sign out, sign back in, uninstalling, reinstalling), it still won't finish loading after I type in my password to sign in. Why is this app so terrible? It's been glitchy for at least a couple of years. You'd think someone would've fixed the bugs by now. ### 1/5 — Hot Garbage *2025-09-05, version 4.6.0* Had the displeasure of using this app for 4 years and my god has it been such a heaping pile of waste. Super buggy, always kicking me out, always requiring password every 5 minutes, right now it refuses to load and it’s just a blank loading screen. The 5 star ratings have to be an inside job because there’s no way this app is a 5 star. It’s 1 star and that’s being generous. FIX IT ### 1/5 — Garbage was of time *2025-08-12, version 4.4.0* For five days have been trying to chat in the app. I’ve logged out and deleted the app MULTIPLE of times with NO success. ### 1/5 — Please fix your app? *2025-06-17, version 4.1.6* I’m not sure why OhMD app has continued to not work for the past month and half. It won’t stay logged in. It doesn’t send messages. I can barely enter my password unless I click it 6-7 times. ### 1/5 — Terrible! Too buggy! *2025-05-04, version 4.1.4* This is the worst app I’ve ever used in my life!! If I could do negative stars I would. It is constantly needing to be reloaded onto my phone, or it just spins, or it simply freezes in the app. It doesn’t remember your password (or blocks your phone from remembering it?) so you have to enter it every time which means it’s an easy to remember pw and defeats the security of it!! And when you are putting in your text, it doesn’t AutoCorrect your spelling!! So the only way to type a message quickly is to dictate it into the phone and then go back and check every word for spelling. It’s a colossal waste of time. The HIPAA compliance aspect of it is not worth the pain of the app! If you are a doctor do not use this for your patients and clients!
