### 5/5 — Love checking in with myself

*2024-05-24, version 1.10.3*

Been using ohms for a little while now. It’s a nice way to check in with yourself, kind of like someone seeing if you’re doing ok. I like it.

### 5/5 — Work in progress

*2024-05-10, version 1.10.3*

I never really focused on my breath work, but the app does a good job on guiding me to work on this. There aren’t to many functions yet, but I can see this getting better with time.

### 5/5 — Great app for beginners!

*2024-05-04, version 1.10.3*

I find this app to be incredibly user friendly especially for those that are not super familiar with meditation or breathing methods. The guided sessions were helpful to follow and learn and enjoyed the ease of the app.

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2024-04-30, version 1.10.3*

Love this app. It’s easy to use and helps me recenter. Recommend.

### 5/5 — Visuals blew me away

*2024-04-25, version 1.10.3*

Such a beautiful experience every time I do breath work! I loved the simplicity of tracking my energy levels and the experience of fetting back ok track when Im a little off.

### 5/5 — Fantastic Guided Breathing App!

*2024-04-15, version 1.10.2*

I recently read the book Breath by James Nestor and for the first time understood the impact proper breathing technique can have on my health.

Since then I have been looking to find a way of building on this. I then came across the newly released wonderful Ohms App! Ohms has enabled me to develop a personalised plan for breath work - specifically for energy, focus, calm and sleep which is set up to complete on a daily basis (results recorded). The nice thing too is that the companion app for the Apple Watch measures heart rate as I do the breathing exercises. There are also stunning visuals in the app too as part of the guided exercises. A really nice experience!

The app developers are very responsive and clearly committed to making this the best app of it’s kind - and there’s clearly lots more to come! I highly recommend this app to anyone looking to develop their breathing technique and improve their health.

### 5/5 — Solid Little App

*2024-03-20, version 1.9.7*

Ohms is def my favorite new journaling app. Honestly wasn't too big on journaling but the way this app implements the feature it is great. Ohms is the best designed to keep me going. It shows me topics to write about for inspiration as well as even allow me to record video. At this rate I'll have my own little mini documentary series.

### 5/5 — Incredible options!

*2024-02-25, version 1.9.1*

Before Ohms I hadn’t yet come across an app that focuses on more of the everyday things that are in my life. I especially love the pre and post workout options as I often feel like I’m racing to and from my workouts without taking time to relax. The public speaking option I also found extremely useful and it always helps give me confidence to perform.

### 5/5 — Love practical breathing techniques to hack my physiology

*2024-02-13, version 1.8.9*

Modulating breath has immense power and this app makes it so simple to improve focus, sleep better, reduce anxiety and recenter myself using nothing but breath.

### 5/5 — Great for overall mindfulness

*2024-02-09, version 1.8.9*

This App has improved so much since its initial launch! I find it great for breath work and meditation. Especially in those moments of the day where practicing mindfulness can elevate your day.

### 5/5 — Makes meditation easy

*2024-02-07, version 1.8.9*

I find it so tough to just meditate on my own. The app really helps walk me thru mindfulness and relaxation. Cant recommend it enough for those that need peace of mind

### 5/5 — Amazing App for Relaxation and Insight

*2024-01-31, version 1.8.8*

5/5 Stars. The best overall spiritual app i’ve found on the market after testing a few dozen!

### 5/5 — Great for tracking

*2024-01-26, version 1.8.6*

I love that this combines tracking + meditation !!

### 5/5 — Super helpful!

*2024-01-26, version 1.8.6*

Easy to use and great for helping focus on mindfulness and wellness

### 5/5 — Miracle worker

*2023-08-30, version 1.1.4*

I started to practice with Ohms month ago at bed time to improve my sleep. My sleeping has improved a lot. I feel the difference. Now during the day at work if I feel stressed, I close my eyes and I breath with the image of the tree etched in my mind for a few minutes and I am good to go. It’s amazing. You got to try it. 👍

### 5/5 — Beautiful App

*2023-05-19, version 1.1.0*

First off the app is beautifully designed. Just moving through it calms me. I have had a meditation practice for two years now and I feel like this app could really help deepen my practice. It seems like it would also be good for beginners just looking for a way to start too though.

### 5/5 — Nice Apple Watch integration

*2022-12-29, version 1.0.3*

Nice Apple Watch integration and very intuitive features. The graphics are so good in the way they work with the interactive voice guide and touch screen interface. Just started using the app recently but feel it will be very useful and part of a healthy routine in the new year to come!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Unethical

*2024-09-27*

The developer pushed out this app as free, built their user base, collected user data, then implemented a bait and switch paywall with no notice and no regard for early adopters.

To be clear, paying for a quality app isn’t an issue for me. I take issue with the lack of transparency, and the bait and switch tactic. Also, if a developer is going to charge for use of their app, they should NOT collect user data or at least offer users the option to opt out of data collection. This developer is charging users twice… you’ll be paying with your data and with your cash… both in perpetuity.

With 40,000 new apps landing in the iOS AppStore monthly, developers need users much more than users need their specific app(s). Devs that disregard users and employ shady business practices won’t make it far. Reward devs that are ethical and user-centric… blacklist those that are not.

**Developer response:** We really appreciate your feedback because it highlights the importance of good communication, and we didn’t achieve that here. We apologize and want to improve this. To start I want to address all of your concerns.

Transition Notification:
We started sending notifications about the transition to a paid app a few weeks before the change (through an in-app message, an email to those subscribed, a post on our subreddit, and the Ohms website). However, we see this didn’t reach everyone as it should have, and that’s our responsibility. We’re sorry for not making sure everyone was informed.

Your data is not sold:
We believe you shouldn’t have to choose between paying with your money or your data. Your data is yours, and we don’t sell or monetize it in any way. That’s why the only paid feature in Ohms is data analysis—everything else is free.

Your data is private and you control access:
All of your data is processed on your device, and none of those computed outcomes leave your phone. You also have full control over the data you share with Ohms, and you can turn this off at any time. Our privacy policy https://www.yourohms.com/privacy explains this in more detail, and we’re committed to making it clearer.

Trust is at the heart of what we’re building, so we’d really like to hear more from you to understand how we can get better. If you’re open to it, reach out to me at sushir@yourohms.com.

### 3/5 — Good but

*2025-03-18, version 3.11.1*

Good but all it lack it an iPad app. When an iPad app is released I will give 5 star

### 4/5 — Best app for tracking health progress

*2024-09-24, version 3.2.3*

Thank you to the developers because this could be my favorite app! The Apple Watch syncing feature is convenient and its helped me track my health progress, both mentally and physically. The interface is much better than using a spreadsheet. There’s still room for improvement so keep adding more features to truly make it stand out.

### 5/5 — Ohms helps me.

*2025-03-24, version 3.11.2*

Ohms has helped me develop a “breath work routine.” But it also compliments my meditation practice, exercise program and overall mental health. I’ve been using for nearly three months. In that time Ohms has got thru several changes to its UI, layout, content, etc; all of which has been very positive. I use this app daily. Thank-you.
Edit: I forgot to mention Ohms' price. Normally I loathe subscription plans; I prefer to own my software. Ohms, on the other hand, has a very reasonable yearly fee.

### 5/5 — Not a review

*2025-03-17, version 3.11.0*

Please give us a different way to provide app feedback and bug reports. I don’t want to sign up with another service, just to do that.

**Developer response:** Thanks so much for the very kind words and for being with us over the past few months. It means a lot to hear that Ohms has become part of your daily routine—and that the changes we’ve made have felt like steps forward. We're always looking to speak to users to keep improving the experience. If you're ever open to speak more I'd be very keen to, just email me at sushir@yourohms.com.

### 5/5 — I love the insights

*2025-02-25, version 3.9.2*

This app helps me recognize things about my mood that I didn’t even notice were affecting me. You get out of it what you put into it, so as someone who already loved journaling, I think it’s totally worth it

### 5/5 — Conquer your mind, and you’d conquer the world.

*2024-12-08, version 3.5.0*

Love this app. They say world peace comes from inner peace. The breath work exercises as an example is great because it gives you the option for a quick 2 min session to help you regain focus, and they also offers a standard one to help you regain calmness and serenity in world of overstimulation these days. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great mental health app. The features to read your health parameters is really cool too!

### 5/5 — A mental health app that actually tells me something

*2024-10-21, version 3.3.6*

I always found myself in a habitual loop of doing the same things over and over and not realizing how they impacted me emotionally. The act of reflecting and looking back really helped me learn a lot about myself I didn’t know. And the data to support everything, which most mental health apps don’t do, made it feel real.

### 5/5 — This a cool new app to help better manage your health journey

*2024-09-26, version 3.3.0*

I like that the interface is easy to use and feels intuitive. I also really like the correlation feature because I feel like it helps give me more insight into how the varying aspects of my health interact with and affect one another.

## Most praised reviews (3 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — This is more helpful than I expected.

*2024-09-26, version 3.3.0*

I thought this would be like other similar meditation apps, but the breathing exercises are super helpful.

### 5/5 — Incredible

*2024-09-20, version 3.2.2*

I love this app. It helps me to calm down and have more control over my life.I’ve never use any meditation method and it changes my life.

### 5/5 — Recommended by Therapist

*2024-08-30, version 3.1.0*

I was sent this recommendation from my therapist who does breath work and OHMYGOSH, this app has helped me so much with my anxiety and worries. I've been using it daily. I'm a breath holder so this seriously grounds me and opens up my chest but also is so beneficial to my mind. Highly recommend
