## What is Ohms Write?

Ohms Write is an on-device writing and grammar assistant. Type or paste any text, and it shows you exactly what it would change — then puts the corrected version on your clipboard, ready to paste anywhere.

It does not watch your typing. There is no account, no analytics, and no background monitoring. Proofreading runs entirely on your iPhone or iPad, with no network connection at all.

PROOFREADING THAT RUNS ON YOUR DEVICE
Apple's on-device spelling engine plus deterministic writing rules: their/there, your/you're, its/it's, "could of" to "could have", repeated words, a/an agreement, sentence capitalisation, spacing around punctuation, "alot" to "a lot", "in order to" to "to". Overlapping corrections are resolved before anything is applied, so your text is never scrambled.

SEE EVERY CHANGE BEFORE YOU TAKE IT
A word-level diff shows additions in green and deletions struck through in red, with a list of every issue and the reason for it. Nothing is applied behind your back — you tap Copy Corrected, then paste where you want it.

READABILITY AT A GLANCE
Word count, sentence count, reading time and Flesch-Kincaid grade level, live as you type and before/after every run.

- Proofread: fixes errors, keeps your voice. Always available, always offline.
- Executive, Concise, Academic, Friendly: tone rewrites powered by Apple Intelligence on device (iOS 26 or later on supported devices), or by a provider you connect with your own API key.

BRING YOUR OWN KEY, IF YOU WANT ONE
Optionally connect Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini, OpenRouter, GitHub Models, or an Ollama server on your own network. Requests go straight from your device to that endpoint — no middleman server, no markup. Keys are stored in the Keychain, and you can set a model override per provider.

PRIVATE BY ARCHITECTURE
No analytics, no telemetry, no account, no bundled model download. Your writing history is a single file on your device that you can search, delete row by row, or clear entirely.
