Too many ads ### 1/5 — Obnoxious audio advertising *2016-06-01, version 0.2.0* Overall it is an ok app. I don't know why they can't show the news articles that come across the notifications. The problem I have is the obnoxious audio advertising. Advertising is ok , but the audio is unacceptable. Sometimes I want to check the price of oil without worrying about the game advertising blaring out😡 ### 1/5 — Forget about it! *2016-05-10, version 0.1.9* When I first got the app it worked well. That is to trick you into giving it a good review. But soon after words it is nothing but advertisements. You can't even get the Oil Price anymore. Solid advertisements. Now, you can see the app for all of 2 seconds before ads plaster your screen and make the app unusable, unseeable, and overall a waste of a formerly good app. The ads take control of your screen and open the App Store and other nastiness. They pop up and you have to sometimes watch a short video before seeing the oil price. There are better apps that don't do this. Amazing how one update made the app not worth using. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — 64 days *2024-12-20, version 4.0.8* Please start updating the app daily so everyone will know what the crude prices are through out the day it hasn’t changed in 64 days thank you if u do ### 1/5 — No longer maintained! *2024-11-20, version 4.0.8* The developer has quit maintaining this app. The app itself hasn’t been updated in well over two years to keep up with iOS updates, and the data (prices of oil and gas) haven’t updated in the app in between 33 and 47 DAYS as of this review. This makes the app effectively useless. Fix it or remove it. ### 1/5 — Never updates *2024-04-24* The app hadn’t been updated in 4 years and now doesn’t even reflect current prices. The last price update is 5 days old as of this writing. This used to be useful to follow oil price trends (my interest is as a commercial driver/owner operator and not as a commodity trader). Instead of giving you the current oil prices and trends all it gives is stupid popup advertisements. No matter what you do the ads constantly show up. I want real time info not a bunch of games that a bunch of mindless twits play. It's a horrible app and completely unusable ### 1/5 — App made awful by way too many ads *2016-07-21, version 0.2.0* The info the app gives is good the accurate, but each time you open it you get a different annoying ad that often contains sounds and a countdown before you can turn it off. I don't mind banner ads along the bottom of an app as I understand that the developer wants paying for their work, but doing it with full screen annoying ones after 2 secs of opening the app is not the way to do it. ### 1/5 — Absolute garbage with annoying adverts *2016-07-19, version 0.2.0* Adverts appear full screen after about 2 seconds. A lot of them are videos with sound which you can't close down. So expect to annoy everybody around you when these pop up. Probably the worst app I have ever used. I appreciate that the company updated the application to remove these ads, which severely diminished user experience. A+++ ### 5/5 — Simple and effective *2015-08-01, version 0.1.1* I wanted an app that would give me accurate, up to date oil prices. This is it. It is simple and to the point. It shows Brent and WTI prices, near real time. And let's you see the graph of the month, quarter, year, and 5 year trends. It's exactly what I needed. Nothing more, nothing less. Works awesome. Also, for a month or so, I kept getting a notification that said to “update the app to the new version” when I had already updated to the 2.0.0 version.
