It was initially a very good app. For the annual price I pay, not having a efficient service to this app is very disappointing. I won’t be renewing at this point. Nothing is populating I the app as of October 1, 2020. None of the administrators to the group app on FB not support by email are responding. Zero customer support at this point so don’t waste your money. ### 2/5 — please *2020-05-20, version 7.0.9* No customer support, error message every refresh, it should be free to business builders. ### 4/5 — Love hate relationship with the app *2020-01-03, version 7.0.8* What I love: intuitive & easy to use, clean clear design. A must at month end if your trying to hit a rank or you need to see who’s ER didn’t process. Convenient to have on my phone when you can’t access VO. Easy to find a information on my team. I love seeing an estimate of my earning and seeing what a difference the next rank would pay. Especially what you would make as a RCD!!! What I hate: it only stores two months of data and then it’s gone, so you can’t compare year over year or even 3 months ago. It constantly freezes and you have to close the app and reopen to get it to work. I gave it 4 stars because I still think it was worth the money especially as the cost is a tax deduction! ### 2/5 — What’s happened? *2019-03-31, version 7.0.8* I had had this app for a couple years now and and it’s always been great...until the last couple months. I will refresh for updates in the afternoon and it will still only show early morning results. My home page doesn’t always reflect the number of new members I have, and if I try to look at more than a few screens, it locks up. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled twice and powered off my phone but nothing helps. Now I have to go to the VO to get my data if I want anything quickly. When I contacted customer support they tell me to be patient. It’s been 6 months. It takes two or three days for it to show the updates. Does not update frequently enough and the update button does nothing. Also frequently freezes. However, if you ever have a problem, the only way to get in touch is an email address. And unfortunately, no one responds to this. Some of the buttons are not labeled where VO users would know what they are, and there are several things that don't speak at all. In this ccase, VO stands for VoiceOver, not Virtual Office. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — This is ridiculous. *2021-02-09, version 7.0.9* I canceled my Oily Tools months ago and I continue to be charged $6.99 every single month for the App. I have contacted customer support via email: they told me I have to cancel subscription through the app so I made sure it was canceled and it sure was! And since then I have been charged $40+ dollars from this company and I want my money returned. Basically good to give you an approximate idea of your commission check ( even that is off more often than not.) Reports on downline are what you can find on your virtual office for FREE. I check it daily! If you are like me and want to see that your work is paying off, before you get your paycheck...this is the app for you!! ### 5/5 — Best tool for my business *2017-11-27, version 7.0.5* This is hands down the best tool for building and managing my Young Living business. My favorite part is that it shows my earnings in real time. But more useful is the report section that shows me who is missing a paycheck this month. Or who's order failed to process. It even has a link generator so I can send a link to the enrollment page with my numbers already filled in! There is a Facebook group with helpful people who answer any problem we've ever had regarding the app or its functionality. Be sure to join it! Addressing the negative reviews for alerts going off- notice they were all on the same day. Young Living updated their inventory system and it was a crazy day. It's not a regular occurrence by any means. ### 5/5 — Great tool *2017-03-04, version 7.0.4* I have been using oily tools for the last year. I started using it when I hit senior star the first time and couldn't calculate my check on my own easily. That is one of the easiest things but it has also allowed me to quickly give feedback to customers when they place that second order and don't fully understand the value of essential rewards. I also can keep up with biz people easily when they don't hit 100 PV because of something going out of stock. Overall very helpful and worth the cost. ### 5/5 — LOVE this app! *2015-03-16, version 4.0.5* This app has saved me loads of time! I used to have to sit down and calculate my commission each month and it was so time consuming. As my YL team grew I found it harder and harder to do. I love that I can see where my commission is at simply by opening the app. Besides calculating your commission there are so many other amazing features to the app, like seeing your downline and their ranks, all sorts of stats from your downline and also important YL docs like the product guide and comp plan pdf. I would gladly pay the monthly fee to get all this great info in one easy to use app! ### 5/5 — I can't live without it!!!!! *2015-03-16, version 4.0.5* I don't know how anyone can effectively run their YL Business without this app!!!! I would pay $20 a month if I had to!!! It is such a useful tool when trying to help out your downline not just your own business!! I Love it so much I don't even really have words to describe it!! And they have excellent and I mean EXCELLENT customer service!! They will be traveling on vacation and put stuff on hold to get it running for more updates to help out their customers!! And I had been using the app for a while before I realized they have an actual website to to go along with your app subscription!!! Holy moly yes it does get better!!!! The website has a tiny bit more information and sometimes it's better to look at everything on a big screen but it's usefulness is absolutely endless!!!! Go get it... Wouldn't it be nice to know exactly when someone ranks up each month--the very DAY so you can be the first to congratulate them? Would you love to easily track your favorite products and be the first to know when they come back in stock? Would you like all kinds of cool stats on your team that it would take you hours to manually calculate? Would you like every team member's contact info at your fingertips and the ability to text or call them right from the app? Oh my word! And it calculates your estimated commissions to date so you can make mid-month decisions if you are reaching for a goal! And so much more! Would you like to know how much bigger your check would be if you reached your next rank? It makes it so easy to check your personal/downline stats. There have been only a couple of glitches when using the app since its inception and I was notified by email of the problem they were having and their timeline for fixing it. How many other apps contact u... I have dealt with several other apps that I had problems with and it took me hours of calls and Internet searching to try to get answers. Oily tools is very proactive in making it right. I appreciate all of the hard work and personal effort the creator of this app puts in to it. He handles all issues personally! If you are serious about your YL business, you need this app! You can know each day how much your check is growing, change ranks to see how much it will increase and see stats of each member. Want to know what your growth increase will be, know what the growth of your team will be....this is the tool to use. You can even search product and coming soon. Email them straight from the app. The customer service is amazing and personal as well. You NEED this app! ### 5/5 — Can't imagine not having this app *2015-03-16, version 4.0.5* Nothing is cooler than hitting the refresh button after a class and seeing those numbers go up. It is motivating us to try harder. Occasionally the software doesn't refresh because of a failed run or some glitch with virtual office at corporate but Jake is always "spot on" to do a manual run. He is always accessible and willing to help. I can not imagine having to guess or wait till after the 20th of the month to see what our commission will be. With this app we can see daily. $6-7 a month is not a lot to pay for this app. I look at it as a business expense. ### 5/5 — Great Tool! *2015-03-15, version 4.0.5* This app is a great tool that allows me to keep track of my team and what my income is for the month. The negative reviews surprise me. If I've ever had an issue, all I need to do is check his Facebook site and he is always one step ahead of us. He is also available to answer general questions about the app and is willing to listen to suggestions from its users. I think the price he charges is well worth it when you consider you are also getting a "business consultant" with that price!
