I do wish there was an option to add products to a “wishlist”, the ability to put in your own recipes, and add in your own notes. I have scraps of papers or pictures of recipes and notes everywhere and I’d love to mainstream them into one location-like this app! **Developer response:** Thank you very much for your feedback! I love this app but can’t give it a 5 because it needs to update its inventory and/or make there an option to add products to inventory (like limited editions) Overall this is a great app! I would also like to print my inventory. ### 4/5 — Good App *2019-11-09, version 4.4.0* I love having the ‘my inventory’ section to quickly look at the oils and supplements I have on hand. I also like that it has all the other YL products listed out by categories. It has been very helpful in reminding me of my oil uses. It’s nice to have a wealth of information just a couple of keystrokes away when you’re not by your computer or you don’t have your pocket reference handy! It’s affordable pricing!! I also love that It notifies you when products go in and out of stock, has information about all the YL products at your fingertips, plus ideas on how to use each product, monthly giveaways, even a place to keep personal inventory. It does not disappoint! I love that you can see current young living stock. You can also list items you have so you never run out of your favorites. Since I use my products throughout my home and at work, keeping my inventory within the app is a nice go to when looking ing to place an order. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — You had me until I had to restore my iPhone *2020-04-18, version 4.5.1* I love, love, love this app as it keeps me from ordering triplicates. I can live with duplicates, because you always run out! I recently had my iPhone restored and the “Apple” dude said we did not want to restore from a backup as it would bring the trash back that was causing latency and battery issues. No problem, let’s wipe it and restore the data from the cloud... I did not realize that OilyApp was not backed up to iCloud. OilyApp is my only app that I use. It would be nice to have consistent inventory among all my iOS devices. I AM SEEING AND A MISS ON THIS! I just spent two hours re-inventorying my collection! Three wishes: Need the ability to inventory my dogs oils Need to have my inventory cloud based - eliminating the issue today - enables my iPad to reflect current data - would love to distinguish 5, 10, 15 ml bottles **Developer response:** Sorry to hear about the inventory trouble when restoring your device. Well it does not I would have to buy the + version of this. Big waste of money for me Like I said before I wanted different ways to use oils on kids not the kid scent line information. Still a waste of money I will not change my review to give you 5 stars if I don’t feel that’s it’s worth the money ### 1/5 — Basically the YL Website *2019-03-04, version 3.0.3* Update: still nothing new. No videos even load. Many of the product images are super dated. I’m surprised by this app. Nothing links through. The videos and podcasts are too long so they never load. Who has time to listen to a 40-60 minute podcast? I paid for a slightly different version of view of the YL website. Not too impressed. Maybe it will get better. I like the potential for seeing different country markets but currently they are incorrect in some cases. **Developer response:** Update: The issue with the videos has been fixed and the podcasts now open via your choice of podcast app on your phone. Images have been updated, and lots of new great features as well! Hey Jen! Thank you for your feedback. The next version of the app will have all the product images updated, and we are looking into a way to split some of the videos and podcasts into shorter clips, updated, etc. so that we can continue to optimize user experience. Our app does offer a lot of functionality besides just product information, though that is valuable too! We have a lot of great stuff coming between now and convention, so we hope you will get all the updates coming between now and then and enjoy them! ### 1/5 — Waste of money *2018-03-08, version 2.0.5* Absolutely terrible! Big waste of $5.99. Upon loading the app, I clicked the Facebook icon and it only took me to the page for the app. Tried to add my oils I currently own...it wouldn’t open. All of a sudden I’m getting notification after notification, back-to-back telling me what was in stock & out of stock for Young Living...no way to turn them off because there’s no settings option in the app. I’m very irritated that I wasted money on this and can’t get it back. DO NOT BUY THIS APP. Try EO Bar instead, very happy with that app purchase. **Developer response:** We are so sorry you had a negative experience with the app! We actually do have a settings feature in the app that will allow you to turn notifications on and off (click the bottom right icon from the home page, the one with three bars, and then the next page has a settings option), and I just tried the Facebook icon and it went right to our Facebook page! We have thousands of happy users and I'm so sorry you've not had a good experience. If you would send us a FB message, we will do all we can to make sure that your experience is excellent. If you don't have the newest update, make sure to get that as it may clear up any issues you were having! ### 2/5 — Stock alert no longer works *2020-10-09, version 4.5.1* Not sure what happened, but even though I have the option to receive the in & out of stock notifications, it no longer works. I’ve made sure it’s on in all settings, however it no longer notifies me. Unfortunate since I had to purchase the app & only did so for this option. ### 3/5 — Missing features *2020-02-18, version 4.5.1* I wish I could indicate how much of an oil I have. (Full, half, 1/4, empty, etc) I also wish I could indicate where I am keeping it. (Kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, office, etc.) Also, how fun would it be to be able to search recipes based on our inventory! (Find a recipe that uses what we have on hand, helping to find uses for lesser-used oils) It also would be nice to see all the oils in one list, as well as separate singles and blends. (Going back-and forth between single and blend can be annoying.) Missing a few things like Endoflex, Progessence Plus, Ocotea. Overall, it has potential but still has room for improvements. Thanks! ### 3/5 — Stock Notification Page Down *2019-03-28, version 3.0.4* I continue to get stock notifications however if I navigate to the stock notification page in the app it has been down for weeks. Everything else about the app is awesome! ### 3/5 — Loving the app ! But! *2018-08-05, version 2.0.6* I love the app very much but was hoping it would have a section with like if I have a issue it would give suggestions 🤔 and I looked on how to add like my pets oils and beauty products and cleaning items ect and can’t figure out how to add them to my inventory??? Great app but was a little disappointed. If free wouldn’t complain but I paid 5.99$ For a place to put my inventory...which was a little tricky and can’t log them all. **Developer response:** Thank you so much for being a part of the OilyApp team! We appreciate you so so much! ### 3/5 — So-so *2017-12-18, version 2.0.3* This app is ok for a free app but since it’s a paid app I don’t think it has enough information. Everything this app provides is easily found for free. It was on sale so that’s not so bad but now the notifications won’t clear. Every time a product goes in or out of stock the app gets a notification indicator that won’t clear. I’ve gone through every tab in the app with no success. I want to delete the app just to get rid of the number but hate to do that since I did pay for it, however cheap it was. Yes, if you delete the old app and just re-download (you won't have to pay for it again) this issue (notifications) has been fixed for 1-2 years now, so it must've been fixed not long after the time you left this review. I was very excited about this feature most! I’d give that section 2 stars. But the other features are amazing, content is amazing so overall very happy with the app! I especially enjoy that I can get in stock notifications so I can be on the look out for YL products I use that went OOS. I also love that there’s a inventory section because it’s so difficult to keep track of how much of an oil I have although ordering duplicates is never really a bad thing. It is great to know at any point what I do have in stock. Lastly, Brent from their customer service went above and beyond helping me figure out why I was not able to download their app on my new phone. First, it has an amazing usage guide, full of all kinds of key insights about specific uses for each oil and blend. It also has a built in inventory feature which will help you keep track of what oils and products you have, and what you are getting low on, so that you know what you need to order. Finally, it stock notification updates so that you always know what Young Living products are going in and out of stock.
