My network can’t find the thermostat and I can’t login. What’s the use. ### 2/5 — App broke functionality in this latest version. *2022-07-22, version 1.3* After updating the app on an iPhone13, functionality has regressed. The title bar is no longer showing up properly. This makes it difficult or impossible to navigate after a thermostat is selected or when I want to go to the settings page. ### 1/5 — Works fine until you get logged out *2022-07-09, version 1.2* The app was working fine for me (it is basic but fonctional) until I got logged out and was not able to log back in. There is absolutely nowhere to retrieve your login information (no “Forgot password” button) and now my fancy WiFi thermostat is just a thermostat. No WiFi access… It is very unfortunate in this day and age that developers are not more on point with the technology and user-friendly interface. There is also nowhere to go on their website either, no FAQs page or anywhere to get help. I have contacted OJ Electronics and waiting for their answer. So now it’s useless. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — UWG4 Support Terminated *2026-05-24, version 1.8.0* Super annoying I spent close to $500 on two thermostats and they were effectively bricked to manual thermostats. Spoke to a VP in the US whom I accessed on LinkedIn who attempted to get me help, but was completely ignored. If you have a UWG and you want remote access, you have to buy something else, the UWG4 is dead! ### 1/5 — Worthless App *2026-02-10, version 1.8.0* Very user unfriendly. Does not stay on schedule. ### 1/5 — Incredibly disappointing *2025-12-24, version 1.8.0* I spent a lot of money on this WiFi thermostat because I wanted to be able to control my thermostat remotely. The interface is primitive and buggy. I try to enter certain times for the heating schedule and the app overrides my choices. There’s supposed to be a way to connect the thermostat with Alexa via the app, but that is not possible. But, the thermostat gives no instructions! It’s attached to WiFi and that’s it. There is something that says “ungrouped”, which would make you you can group more than one room together? I can’t figure out how that works. ### 4/5 — Very basic but works! *2021-01-12, version 1.2* Easy programming (though as another reviewer pointed out, unclear how to group—list of devices is labeled “ungrouped,” which implies ability to group)...it would be nice to be able to program the screen appearance (add background photo, etc) beyond the three options for sleep screen, but I installed these because they work, and my previous fancier thermostats were unintuitive and difficult to use. I would suggest being that it controlling heat elects etc, energy is a big factor. And while it shows usage, it lacks the tariff screen and actual dollar amount as the thermostat does. Please add this feature. ### 4/5 — Love this OJ Microline Thermostat & App *2016-05-22, version 1.1* I'm a do-it-yourself kinda guy, and I can say that the whole heated floor project was a cupcake, with this product and its app being the cherry on top. I would have given this app 5 stars, but I have noticed that the current temperature will not update unless I log out and then back in. Everything else, so far, seems to refresh quickly and accurately. ### 3/5 — Very basic *2021-05-19, version 1.2* Well, interface looks very similar to what you see in the actual device, but only for the schedule setup, other settings have to be change directly on the thermostat. You have to change every day. ### 2/5 — Why doesn’t UWG4 version connect to Google Home? *2022-09-25, version 1.4* I’ve been using this app for almost two years but recently decided to connect this to my Google Home Control Center for convenience for my entire home. However, UWG4 is not listed even though the sister app that ends in “5” is. This is troubling and may force me to discard this thermostat controller for my floor heat in my sunroom and buy a Watts Water product to consolidate my house control.
