The Emotion Life Lab is a digital learning system that helps individuals and teams thrive, building emotional intelligence skills that lead to improved performance, better collaboration, higher engagement, lower burnout and improved business results.

The centerpiece of the system is the Oji Life Lab App. The App delivers a sequence of bite-sized learning experiences that help you gain skills over time. It also includes a set of essential tools including the Mood Meter, a reference library, and text chat that offers support when you need it.

I tried this app, it gave no option to register, only to sign in, tried forgot password option, doesn’t work. Basically this app is a complete waste of time because it does not get past base 1.

This is a poorly designed learning experience. It’s as if they wanted to condense an in-person workshop into an app, but the user interface isn’t well done. It’s not engaging and readying the book prior to taking the course would have made this much more valuable. I didn’t even get through the program. It’s not clear what the learning path is or the desired course outcomes at an application layer. This type of content can’t be taught through an app. It needs to be part of an ongoing program much like what the author describes in the book. I wouldn’t recommend this, especially given the price.

At first when I got this app I was confused because it didn’t give me an option to sign up. I then went on the website and paid for the program. It was a bit pricey but 100% worth it. I got this to learn more about emotional intelligence because I knew nothing about this topic. This program is very nice and I suggest you get it

I love the concepts and learning of the OJI EI Life Lab.  The update allows you to review previous learnings, which provides greater reflection. EI is a journey and not a destination!  

If you haven’t dove in and purchased the OJI Life Lab, do it! It’s a must for anyone who wants to grow in the area of Emotional Intelligence.

Downloaded this app and was asked to sign in, but not given an option to create an account. After linking to app support it seems you have to buy coaching to use the app? If that’s the case, it should be clear before you download and not listed as a free app. Should say prominently “app access with coaching purchase”. 

Additionally, if you go to the website they won’t provide pricing info without submitting your contact info. Seems like an interesting product, but the lack of transparency is off-putting.

I am not much of an app person. Primarily because I want to minimize my screen time. This app is adding a lot of value to my everyday interactions, self awareness and provides practical strategies I can use now to build and sustain healthier relationships with myself and others. I’m finding it beneficial to my overall emotional wellness and self care. The best part is that it takes a small amount of time with big pay off.

*Note* A rapid series of bug fixes has greatly increased the usability of this already excellent app.

As for the learning experience - this app has been key in continuing to develop my understanding and integration of emotional intelligence into my work and home life. The combination of professional quality on-the-street and expert videos; reflective exercises with the ability to record your thoughts via audio, video, images, or text to share with your coach; and frequent use of the mood meter are very helpful in cementing the concepts into real-world learning.  Finally, the periodic live lab online sessions with an Oji coach are amazing! These sessions allow you to go deeper into concepts learned throughout the app as you interact with an expert in a live video conference. This uniquely humanizing experience makes all the difference between impersonal app-based trainings and a personal learning experience that will absolutely be of benefit to you in your work and personal life!
