## What is OK Calendar?

Orthodox Korea Calendar brings the rhythm of the Orthodox Church to your phone — in both English and Korean.

Each day, see the feasts and fasts of the liturgical year, the saints commemorated, the appointed Scripture readings, and the tone of the week — clearly presented and easy to follow whether you're at home, at church, or on the go.

Stay connected to the community with shared events, and never miss a service, feast, or gathering thanks to timely reminders.

FEATURES
• Today view — feasts, fasts, commemorated saints, Scripture readings, and liturgical tone for any day
• Monthly calendar — see the whole month at a glance and tap any day for details
• English & Korean — switch languages instantly; every feast and reading in your language
• Community events — services, celebrations, and announcements, including recurring events
• Reminders — optional notifications so important days never slip by
• Available offline — liturgical data is saved to your device, so the calendar works without a connection
• Clean, reverent design inspired by the Byzantine tradition

Whether you are a lifelong Orthodox Christian, a catechumen, or simply exploring the faith, Orthodox Korea Calendar helps you live the Church year, one day at a time.

Free to use.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.3 — 2026-08-09

Version 1.3:
Two looks, and the choice is yours.

Gilded is new, and now the default: the day set out as an illuminated page, with the fast and the liturgy drawn by hand rather than reduced to a symbol. If you prefer the quieter layout, Elegant is still there — Settings › Theme. Your choice is remembered.

Also new
• Dark mode — follow your phone, or set it yourself
• Choose which screen the app opens on: Today, Month or News
• The day's tone and matins gospel, and each commemoration's own appointed readings
• Fasting and the liturgy served shown as drawn marks
• Clearer, larger type throughout, and better contrast for reading in bright light

### 1.2 — 2026-07-31

Text Size
Pick the size that suits you in Settings — four steps, applied on top of your device's own setting. The whole calendar scales with it, so you can make this app larger without changing your phone system-wide.

Copy readings and saints
Press and hold any reading, saint or observance to select it and copy it — useful when you want to look something up online.

Saturdays at a glance
The date circle is blue on Saturdays, and red when the day is a feast.

A toolbar that belongs to your phone
The bottom bar is now the system's own on both platforms, so it looks and behaves the way the rest of your device does. On iPhone its buttons also sit correctly against the bottom edge again.

Plus performance and stability improvements throughout.

### 1.1 — 2026-07-18

New in 1.1: Announcements

A new tab brings parish news and feast-day reminders into the app, in both English and Korean.

• Tap an announcement to read it in full and see that day's services
• Your announcement history stays in the app, even on devices without push notifications
• Pull to refresh, with an unread badge for what's new

Plus polish and fixes throughout.
