Took a while for the app to be updated for iOS 17 — if only Apple would release beta versions of their operating systems, so that developers could test things in advance… Now the state needs to allow integration into Apple wallet, and whatever the Google equivalent it is and this will be a five star rating. ### 3/5 — Workaround for 14 Pro/Pro Max *2022-10-21, version 2.5.13* Until this app or apple fixes the focus issue, I tried this and it worked for me. I scanned the license and sent it to my macbook (I guess printing or using another phone should work as well). This app was able to read the image (front and back) of license from macbook, and was activated successfully. ### 3/5 — Doesn’t support iOS 16 yet *2022-09-22, version 2.5.13* As many recent reviews state, my camera won’t focus right and the app doesn’t work. I sent in a trouble report and this is what they wrote back today. The current version of the Mobile ID app (2.5.13) is not compatible with IOS16, our next update should fix this. So even though this version is supposed to be compatible with iOS 16, they themselves say it is not. They did not say when an update will be released. ### 4/5 — OK Mobile ID - Don’t Leave Home Without It! *2022-08-26, version 2.5.11* Thanks for the OK mobile ID app. There’s been times when I’ve left home without my license, and had to switch off with my wife just so I can feel safe to get there. Or sweat bullets until I can get back home to get my license. I’m an older man… And sometimes I do forget my license… But I never forget my iPhone! It goes everywhere I go, so now my license goes everywhere I go as well… Thank you exclamation! ### 4/5 — Pain to set up. *2022-08-25, version 2.5.11* I had some difficulty setting up the selfie needed for. Took me a bit to figure it out. Probably should have read the instructions first. Not sure I want to hand my phone over to a cop if I didn’t have my actual card with me. No more digging in my purse to find my drivers license especially when you are picking up layaways etc. Just click on app with Face ID and done. It was definitely a little hard for me to get my face points correct but I am not techie at all. Now, a person can have their ID with them literally all the time since we all have our cell phones with us almost all of the time. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Crashes on IOS 17 *2023-09-21* I had a problem with the app crashing while I was on iOS 17 beta. I reached out to the app developers and let them know it was crashing and non-functional and that iOS 17 was releasing officially in 2 weeks so they might want to fix it. The only response I got was that the app wouldn’t work on iOS 17 beta. Okay, sure, whatever. Well, surprise, surprise, the app still is not functional with the official release of iOS 17. With how out of date the app is, it honestly makes me not trust them with my very important personal data. The app hasn’t been updated in 6 months, most apps are making minor security updates every few weeks. Do you really trust them with your information? ### 1/5 — Where’s Tech Support? *2023-01-22, version 2.5.13* iPhone®️14 Pro camera will not allow me to capture the photo of the driver’s license. Contacted someone from Tech Support who assured me that they were aware of this problem and was going to be fixed within the ‘next few weeks.’ Of course, that was in November of ‘22, but seems the issue has not been resolved. Hate that I had to ‘jump through the RealID®️hoops’ required by the great state of Oklahoma to get a new ID. However, I really liked the convenience this app gave me. Please resolve this issue before it’s too late and the ‘iPhone®️XV (15)’ is released. Please? ### 1/5 — Can’t say I’m impressed in Oklahoma update Aug 2022 *2022-08-11, version 2.5.11* Seemed okay at first. Can’t update anything yourself. Got a new license two months ago and have been told “the state DMV” will update my info apparently at their leisure. So basically it’s worthless until Oklahoma DMV gets around to updating my info. Another problem I ran into was getting the “help” feature to work. I filled out the email form at least 5 times and every time I would get down to the last item the app would flip off and delete everything so I’d have to start all over again. It did the same thing with the chat feature. At least with the chat feature, once I got past the initial form input, it would hold the conversation info. Not sure if the tech knew what was happening but at least he finally told me I had to wait for the DMV to update my new license info. Feedback feature. Apparently that’s not working either. That feature tells me there are no email accounts set up and to create an email account to use the feature. When I tap the OK button the app blips off again. I can only guess that this is also something the DMV is supposed to do as my email address was part of the initial sign-up info. So far, this app is of no use for me. It’s now been 6 months since I got my new drivers license and this thing still has not been updated. WORTHLESS ### 1/5 — Never worked and continental disappointed *2022-08-05, version 2.5.11* At first the app would not load and now it won’t submit for real ID to the state. Ask for assistance and they say not their problem contact the state. Lol the connection issue is your responsibility to solve. This app is a waste of time and no one actually accepts it and you will still need your actual ID. I wish they wouldn’t have even tried if they were going to fail this hard ### 1/5 — Terrible support *2021-12-07, version 2.5.8* I have not been able to set up the app for several months, and have tried every single troubleshooting step provided. Eventually support from the app developer tells me it is an issue with OK DPS doing a server upgrade (for several months??), and to reach out to OK DPS. When I do reach out to OK DPS, they tell me they are not equipped to support the issue and to reach out to the developer. Would be great if the two would communicate directly instead of doing a loop on the end user to avoid helping at all. ### 1/5 — Poor facial recognition technology. Didn’t work. *2021-11-19, version 2.5.8* I just moved to this state. Trying to get established and this *seems* like a good idea. The execution is extremely poor. The facial recognition is so off that there is no way to reach the requirements to “connect the dots.” From the reviews I’ve read it appears that the new ID is something this app is incapable of registering. I have the new Real ID with the veteran symbol. Maybe when the technology catches up, I’ll try again. Great idea, terrible execution. ### 1/5 — The most frustrating *2021-07-02, version 2.5.6* I have had to start and stop my application for the Real ID so many times, and not once has it saved my data. When I FINALLY was able to get everything entered it wanted me to rescan my face, and despite trying every single room in my house with all different kinds of light sources it cannot recognize me. This is so incredibly frustrating- I should have believed all the other reviews that warned me about this 🤦🏼‍♀️ ### 1/5 — I dont know yet *2020-10-27, version 2.5.0* I am going to try it. I am disappointed that I’m just now seeing this app while downloading the app to check road conditions for the ice storm we have headed to Oklahoma tonight. Why would you not want to share this app all over? I wish I could have tried it with more than a week for the free trial. I rarely use my id because I am disabled and can’t go anywhere but my doctors appointments and the pharmacy but I am going to try it anyway. Don’t know if I will keep it to the paying time since I am on a fixed income. ### 2/5 — Problems with data *2021-08-06, version 2.5.6* Someone told me about this app to get their RealID. So I downloaded it. It’s got a nice UI and UX is decent. I got my DL set up, no problem. But when I tried to set up the Real ID last week, it wouldn’t allow me to upload documents. I was busy so I thought I’d try again later. After all, I submitted all the questions and images they requested. Meanwhile, the friend who told me about it said he submitted all of his paperwork, only to have it rejected because his SSN is required to fulfill the application. Hello? SSN is required field in the app. So they lost it on the back-end somehow. So he resubmitted the application, but I’d they don’t return it quickly, he’ll miss out on his family’s vacation to Orlando in October. So I tried to continue my application today, and now the app told me I waited too long and had to start the application process over again. So I re-gathered all the documents and tried again: the same problem existed/unable to upload documents. Frustrated, I connected via their chat. The dude said there was a known problem and “the engineers are working on it.” Okay, so what does that mean? “I’ll ask for an update.” He gets back on and tells me that it will require an app update and the engineers are actively working on an update. So I ask, “will I have to start the application over again?” He said, “Yeah.” Geez. I suppose it’s better than waiting for hours at DPS, but it’s still unnecessarily frustrating. **Developer response:** "Apologies for any difficulties you experienced. We very much value your feedback. We would like to hear more from you. Could you please reach out to one of our support team members? Support contact information inside the app or here: https://idemia-mobile-id.com/help" ### 3/5 — Setup *2023-05-13* After setup, the app is great. The setup, however was a nightmare! I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max Plus and the app couldn’t get the camera to focus on my license to capture the picture. After 12 attempts over 3 months, it finally worked. I have no idea what caused the issue. I even went to a tag agent and we couldn’t get it to work. Not sure what happened in the mean time, but it finally focused and captured the image. Also, the instructions about moving your head are very confusing. Again, I really like the app once it is set up. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — So convenient! *2023-08-12* App was super easy to navigate and set up was too! You do have to take a picture of the front and back of your ID. The only thing that was annoying was the scanning face feature, it took me a couple of tries to get it right. Other than that, this app is so convenient and has helped me when I’ve accidentally left my wallet behind! ### 5/5 — Amazing App *2023-08-12* We all have our moments where we have to dig deep into our purses even at times just dumping our unnecessary junk completely just to gain access to present our drivers license or state ID upon unexpected requests to verify ourselves, at the request of a law enforcement officer for instance. Having such easy and quick access through the MiD app of Oklahoma most assuredly has proven to be the most effective tool to verify our identity! I recommend that all 52 states have the same access available to them as do we! In a hurry, running behind schedule? No time to waste hunting for your wallet or your purse? Easiest solution to ever be found! Just grab the car keys and your phone! Nothing else is necessary! You have everything you need right there in the palm of your hand! I absolutely love it! Quick, simple and easy to use for anyone! Try it out! I promise you will be totally satisfied! ### 5/5 — Some people and places. *2023-05-16* While many places I’ve been to have not used this ID to confirm your identity. A few like Walmart won’t accept it, so although I can’t absolutely confirm this. I believe it just may be a few people who just want to give people with this tool a hard time just cause they don’t have the plastic ID with them or perhaps just to see if you’ll respond angrily at yeah good them. Still waiting… ### 5/5 — So Easy! All IDs should be able to go Digital! *2022-09-20, version 2.5.13* I love the concept. I heard about it from my Insurance Agent, Cameron Goodwin, from State Farm. He told it to me a long time ago, but my license would not work with it at the time. Only when I got my new RealID did it allow me to add it. I just wish they would allow me to add my Cherokee Nation Membership Card and my CDIB Card to it as well. Both are Federally Issued IDs. I’d also like to know if I can add my Passport to it.
