세계해외한인무역협회 (World OKTA: World Federation of Overseas Korean Traders Association)는 조국의 무역 증진과 회원간의 이익증진을 강화하기 위하여 지식경제부 지도 아래 KOTRA 지원으로 2013년 현재 세계 65개국 123지회를 설립한 대한민국 유일의 국제적 해외교표 경제, 무역단체입니다.

World OKTA는 차세대 경제 리더 양성 목적을 가지고 청년 해외동포를 대상으로 한국경제 및 국제통상 교육을 통해 한국 기업의 세계시장 진출 전진기지 및 인적 네트워크를 구축하고자 차세대 육성 사업에 투자하고 있습니다.

이에 오클랜드 OKTA지회 역시 지난 2004년부터 차세대 OKTA를 발촉해 현지 교민 1.5세대 및 유학생을 대상으로 리더쉽 및 경제교육 프로그램인 "차세대 무역스쿨"을 운영하여, 오클랜드의 젋은 청년들이 국제 사회의 주역으로 발돋움할 수 있도록 교육하고 있습니다.

현재까지 오클랜드 OKTA는 약 450여명의 차세대 무역스쿨 수료생을 배출해내며 차세대 인재들의 인턴쉽 및 취업 기회를 제공하였고, 앞으로 더욱 많은 오클랜드 인재들의 자기계발과 실용적인 네트워크 활성화를 위해 2013년도 제 9기 차세대 무역스쿨을 준비중에 있습니다.

차세대 무역스쿨은 기업 운영 및 무역거래에 필요한 실습과 인턴쉽 등의 기회를 제공할 뿐만 아니라, 우수 수료생을 대상으로 "모국방문 차세대 무역스쿨 (항공료 및 숙박 지원)" 에 참가할 수 있는 기회를 제공해, 세계 각국에 흩어져 있는 한인 차세대 경제인과의 교류를 지원합니다.
