I don’t think many folks review a business-utility app unless they’ve got some venting to do as some of these reviews show. So here’s a counter-balance. I would suggest Okta rethink the decision to hide the app icon from the Dock as the auth window can easily get buried, for those of us with tons of windows, if you click into another app when an auth pop-up occurs. Perhaps let it be a user opt-in preference to show the app in Dock and/or task switcher? Otherwise, Okta Verify works just fine and is continually worked. ### 5/5 — Super fast *2025-12-03, version 9.53.0* Push notifications on this MFA app are incredibly fast, makes logging into multiple services incredibly easy. ### 5/5 — Great option for MFA *2025-11-12* I’m the Okta admin for my organization, the app works great for secure MFA, I haven’t had any issues. We’ve had issues with SMS MFA in the past and switching to this usually solves it. Most of the negative reviews on here are just folks whose IT admins just didn’t set up the app correctly, not the apps fault. If you lose your phone, it’s not a big deal your Okta admin can reset your authenticators for your new phone. ### 5/5 — Enables the use of FastPass for seamless login *2025-11-10, version 9.52.0* I work as a Senior Security and Identity Engineer and honestly, Okta gets a lot of unfair hate. They are a very well known name in the Cyber Security space, providing secure identity and authentication services (IDAM). Most/all of the bad reviews come down to intolerance for the security it provides, or how the organisation uses Okta in their network. Configured correctly, this app provides what is needed for Okta FastPass to work properly on MacOS, which provides for a seamless but secure auth flow. ### 5/5 — Bugs get fixed quickly *2025-11-03, version 9.52.0* Copy paste was broken, now it’s fixed.
