This is on all of the Duck Duck Moose apps we have downloaded. The apps desperately need to be updated so that the music turns off with the iPad. My toddler loves them! And other than the music issue, they are great. ### 2/5 — What's with the sound? *2012-10-18, version 1.1* I have downloaded this app over and over and I keep having sound issues. So frustrating for my daughters! This isn't the only Duck Duck Moose app that does this to me either. However, i do find the repeating song a bit annoying. Also i wish they can pronounce the word when one touches it. That would be a good learning tools as well. And the app doesnt have a main menu, the pages just keep going and going. I wish there is a "home" or "menu" icon or button to get out the pages. An index page to pick the page would be great. How come i dont see the "recod yourself" page? I work with a variety of kids from k-5. I also work in our self contained classroom for kiddo's with Autism. We LOVE this APP! It is motivating and fun for my students (as well as teachers). Many of my kiddos are learning to use augmentative devices. This is a fun and educational way to teach cause and effect and so much more! This was because it got a 2010 Parent's Award and after initially getting Baa Baa Blacksheep, also by Duck Duck Moose, and because of the comments in a review of it. What a waste of money compared! All my son does is sit and tap the screen watching the characters do silly moves and make sounds, hardly a smile on his face. I can't believe it got any award! Don't waste your money on this app. Do check out Baa Baa black sheep, much better, even without the HD version. ### 2/5 — Sound Isuues *2012-11-04, version 1.1* Sound works perfectly on our original IPad but DOES NOT work on ours iPhone's 4 & 5. He doesn't have functional use of his hands so he can watch this independently. I wish itsy bitsy spider had this option too. This is great for children with cortical visual impairment. The images are simple and the music and graphics are so fun. Thanks for a wonderful app! The students/patients get to listen to the song and play with the screen, then I turn the volume down and ask them to "show and tell" me what each animal/person, etc. on the farm is doing to practice verbs and tenses. We also describe the scene using complete sentences. The song and graphics are very motivating to the children. They begin singing along with the song and the variety of words we can use with this app give us the opportunity to practice all speech sounds. I also like how the game shows the day progress from morning to night so we can identify day/night.
