The actual product control is behind all the garbage. The product control should be upfront and the store should be off to the side. The gifts used to be worth logging in, but no more. ### 1/5 — Do NOT Buy Olight *2026-03-20, version 2.9.0* This app does not try to hide the fact that it is made solely to sell you products. It is impossible to control any smart home products without multiple popup ads to add items to your cart. The main page of the app doesn’t let you control your devices, it is a storefront. Most recently, the app logged me out and says my password is incorrect, and will lock your account after five attempts. There is a quick sign in with a code sent to your email; despite logging in this way, I cannot control my devices as it is saying my passwords “do not match.” The option to reset my password does not work. (& steal location & listen to my mic…) *2026-08-24* Seriously. Picked up a sphere because it looked cool. Of course proprietary comms. Why!? The device control is slapped in a shopping app. It’s like going go WalMart for milk & having to go through the whole store to get it. I get wanting/needing Bluetooth permissions, but my location? No. Was looking forward to the music sync, but it wants permissions not for media, but my microphone!? What a stupid way to do it, unless of course they want to listen to more than music. Doesn’t matter anyway because there is zero configuration with the music. The colors are all over the place, too bright, and even if they were customizable they lag in a way that will give you a headache in minutes. Nice hardware. Hopefully can figure out a way to control it with 3rd party controls, but the physical button is capable enough in the time being because this app is being deleted asap. ### 1/5 — Forced updates *2026-08-24* Only thing these forced mandatory app updates do is put more ads. Suddenly it no longer works. As a member the games and the challenges that they have in the games are great!! you get fast responses faster results with their customer service. They standby their products if anything goes wrong, which normally never does they will solve that fast. They have deals all the time. Especially if you active member, you can join them on your social media pages. My days of buying batteries are over. The customer service is awesome and the lifetime warranty is untouchable. I love the BIG brightness in a small flashlight. Aber es stört auch nicht und ich verstehe die Motivation. Die Steuerung der Produkte funktioniert sehr gut, Osphere und Ostrip lassen sich leicht und spielerisch bedienen, mit einem Gateway (Obounds) sogar automatisieren und es sind z.B. abhängig vom Wetter etc. bestimmte Farbmuster möglich. Their products are over the top, spot on, bright, and the best lighting for so many different things. There’s too many to list. I LOVE Olight and recommend their products for mothers with young children. Olights are good for people of ANY age. I live in Louisiana and most people would think hurricanes. You’d be right to think how convenient they are for this as well. Like I said, it’s too many to list. They make amazing gifts for your loved ones, again, of ALL ages.
