## What is Olive?

Build better habits, one tap at a time.

Olive is a calm habit tracker that lives on your phone. Add the things you mean to do, tap once when you do them, and watch a year of history fill in. There is no account to create, no server to trust and nothing between you and the habit itself.

Whether you are drinking more water, reading every evening, training three times a week or cutting back on coffee, Olive keeps the whole picture on one screen.

Track what matters

- Habits to build and habits to quit
- A daily target for each one, from a single check to a counter that can go past the goal
- Quit habits with a daily allowance, so cutting back counts as much as quitting
- Every day, chosen weekdays, a few times a week or a few times a month
- Streaks that follow your schedule, so a rest day never breaks one
- Current streak, best streak, completion rate and totals for every habit
- An icon or emoji and a color of your choice for each habit

See a year at a glance

- The last year of every habit on its card, one square per day
- Grid, week, month, list and compact layouts
- Tap any day to log it, past days included
- A calendar of every month on the habit's own page
- A day editor to fix any day
- Drag to reorder, press and hold to edit, archive or delete

Stay on track

- Reminders at the times you pick, only on the days a habit is due
- More than one reminder per habit, for the morning and the evening
- A reminder for a habit you already finished stays quiet
- Home Screen widgets that log a habit without opening the app
- A widget for one habit with its year of history
- Lock Screen widgets for a glance at today
- Archive a habit when you are done with it, and bring it back with all of its history

Understand your progress

- Perfect days, completion rate and best streaks over a week, a month, 90 days, a year or any range you pick
- How much of each day you finished
- Activity by day of the week, so you can see where consistency slips
- Every habit ranked, strongest first

Make it yours

- Light, dark or the system setting
- Accent colors
- Liquid Glass on iOS 26

Yours alone

- Everything is stored on your device and works offline
- No account, no servers, no tracking
- iCloud sync between your own devices, through your own iCloud account and nowhere else
- Export a JSON backup of everything and import it on another device

Olive is free for up to five habits. Olive Pro is one purchase, not a subscription, and unlocks unlimited habits, reminders, widgets, statistics, iCloud sync, backup export and import, and restoring archived habits.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.3.0 — 2026-10-23

What's new in this update:

- Fixed the Home screen not responding to taps on some phones.
- The buttons at the top of New Habit, the icon picker and the Pro screen no longer sit under the status bar, so every tap reaches them.
- With Allow exceeding on, tapping a habit on a widget after its goal is met adds one more instead of unchecking it. The button shows the count once it goes past the goal.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-09-29

What's new in this update:

- Wheels on iOS use the system picker, so numbers line up and tick as they turn.
- Fixed widgets not updating and days logged from a widget not reaching the app.
- A day logged from a widget no longer undoes a change made later in the app or synced from iCloud. The newest change wins.
- New Rings layout for the home screen: a ring for each habit that fills as today gets done. Tap a ring to log a step, or tap the name to open the habit.
- Choosing which days a habit repeats is now one question with three answers: Every day, Chosen days or Any days. Any days sets a goal such as at least 3 days a week.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-09-24

What's new in this update:

- Fixed some days logged from a widget not being saved.
- Reminders for repeating habits arrive only on the days the habit is due.
- A day logged from a widget now shows right away on the habit's screen and in Statistics.
- Widgets fit more habits and no longer use a row for "+N more". All Habits widgets use the same title at every size.
- Habits can repeat every few days, weeks, months or years. For example: every 3 days, every other week on Monday and Thursday, or every 3 months on the 1st and 15th.
