I am not just going to use device as is but also going to experiment on it using devkit. There are some possibilities in improvements about better controls on device where I can keep it on a stealth mode and not always listening ( may be it is there but not working in my case). Also it can improve on some transcription capabilities, it doesn’t equally understand all accents. A new feature request: command mode. For example: omi activate find my device mode, omi activate whisper mode, etc ### 2/5 — BUGGY with Limitless Pendant *2026-06-15, version 1.0.538* Wanted to use this with my Limitless Pendant. Unfortunately this is far from being ready from prime time. Not usable for now. ### 2/5 — Very poor design on Pendant not falling out of watch or necklace. *2026-06-06* I got the Omi Pendant with the watch strap. Within 2 days my pendant fell out and luckily I found it. Also the software needs a lot of work. Because its can’t copy and paste numbs notes when I have customer meeting very well. A lot of work to make it all work. It lacks basic features that most great transcription AI software does, It doesn’t even put my reminders in Apple reminders correctly so I have one place for all my reminders. Techncual support and talking to a live human person is next ti impassible. They only gave me a 3 day trial when I bought the pendant before I could return it. Really most give 30 days to trial. Seems like a lporly funded company ### 1/5 — Can’t import from Limitless *2026-06-06* Their webpage advertises that you can import your data through zip file from Limitless. I was able to export the data in text only but there’s no option at all to upload or import. Anything in the profiles tab and I’ve searched every setting. I even tried the desktop app. Also this thing does not come with a free trial. It comes with a free plan. It says I’ve I’ve used my entire free trial. I never got a free trial. I never got anything. It says I got 30 questions. This is stupid and a scam. ### 1/5 — Pathetic App *2026-04-26, version 1.0.533* Worst ever app I used, very hard to even go past the errors ### 4/5 — Great but *2026-04-22, version 1.0.526* It is awesome and has plenty of features for building upon if you develop or have ai. The only thing I see wrong is there is no Apple Watch app. It says there is one but I can’t seem to find it. ### 4/5 — Need to stay connected and active *2026-04-05* When it works, it’s good. The device constantly disconnects from the Wi-Fi and, therefore, is unable to perform its job. The only solution has been to have the app on top all the time, which means it’s mostly useless to me at this time. I had the Bee AI and was spoiled with how well it worked. The Bee AI had its own issues, but it didn't require the babysitting this app required. Update: Updated the app, as suggested by the developers, and it is greatly improved. I would say it’s useful this time since I want offline sync and run my conversations to my local LLM. It has improved enough that I’m willing to give it a try now with an annual subscription. **Developer response:** We've made significant improvements to background Bluetooth connectivity since your review. The app now maintains connection reliably without needing to stay in the foreground. This app contains malicious software exploiting zero-day security vulnerabilities of numerous devices such as iPhones, Android phones, and Chromebooks. ### 2/5 — Cute but has limited use and major inaccuracies *2026-03-15* I have been trying this app. For professional use, the summaries are dangerously inaccurate. In one case narrative that I dictated, the summary omitted many of the key facts and distorted the chronology and flow of events. In dictating random thoughts about what was pending, however, it did generate a to do list that had some of the items discussed in it. On balance, my experience is that it would be very risky to rely on this app for any form of summary. For me, it is worse than useless for that purpose. **Developer response:** Hi DCKagain, Thank you for your feedback—we’ve been actively working on improving the app, and your input really helps. We’ve fixed and improved many things in the latest version, which you can try out. The app also allows you to create your own templates for summary generation, as we understand that a standard template may not work the same way for everyone. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — No support; ghosting me *2026-08-19* I bought this and spent about 2 weeks just trying to get it to to connect to Bluetooth. I was able to get Support once, but I’ve emailed the company three times since and sent multiple messages and they’re ghosting me. I’ve asked to return it but since they’re not responding to messages or emails, I guess I’m stuck with it. It has not functioned properly since I purchased it. ### 1/5 — very very buggy *2026-08-14, version 1.0.547* app is buggy , random disconnects. simple things like delete connection history or manage devices is gone. for example i have a plaud pin and i have to repair every day and it doesnt even work. ### 1/5 — It should be easier *2026-08-07, version 1.0.547* The instruction to set up are so subpar. Results in an error. ### 1/5 — Waste of time and money *2026-07-29, version 1.0.544* After waiting for some time for the device to actually arrive I was severely disappointed. Issues with charging, issues with pairing and device recognition on the app. After a couple of hours of frustrating changes in light colours and restarts and un pairing then re pairing it doesn’t work, I look at the steps listed on the troubleshoot guide that clearly indicate that this device is regularly experiencing issues and is probably not ready for production. The troubleshooting guide openly says that sometimes the device does not charge or display its light (for no apparent reason)?? Sometimes you’ll need to reset it by holding it and then putting it on the charger and that failing all of that the expectation is that you turn it on and let the rice run down over 6 to 8 hours and then start all over again. Don’t wast your time and money - just use voice memos or another recording app on your phone then copy the transcript into Chat GPT or your preferred AI. ### 1/5 — Vibe Coded Slop *2026-07-26, version 1.0.544* Loved the idea when this first came out. But it never works, most features you don’t need and it feels like vibe coded slop. Needs a total rebuild. It’s way too scattered and has an odd UX. ### 1/5 — SCAM WARNING *2026-07-11, version 1.0.540* Do not purchase until you talk to a person. AI is only helpful until you need actual help, and you’re forced to deal with the AI. ### 1/5 — Worst device ever *2026-06-18, version 1.0.538* I’ve had my device for almost a month and I still can’t get it to work. I want to return it, but the return policy is five days and as someone with a busy schedule that involved travel, that five days came and went. Tried contacting support and still haven’t had a response. Oh a lot of tweaking and programming on my end in order to do somewhat close to the adv. and the reason is obvious is Dev kit duh! And all it delivers perfectly most of the time what is happening in my conversation and now event talking to me directly without pressing a button but of course have to build shortcut for that or else it will interrupt you in your real conversation. It fun app with the gadgets I brought for just fun end up using it almost everyday now to improve it. Without the device you still can use your watch and your phone and it provides better quality as well but still use most of your phone processor to do this task. Offline it just dies so keep it online hopefully in the future there is Ollama oh that’s it ! …well guy you know the drill and keep developing! ### 5/5 — 2nd Brain *2026-04-14* Truly a special product. So many platforms and YouTubers have tried to formulate a 2nd Brain Recipe. But these guys, in just one app, have nailed it on the head. And you don’t even know how Omi knows so much and keeps up to date. 99% is seamless, effortless and works behind the scenes.
