The developers keep making excuses about their original promise of free lifetime upgrades from the AppAdvice promo. But the truth? This app is a huge disappointment. All the time and effort I put in—gone. I thought there would be real updates for people like me who helped get their download numbers up. Nope. I’m done. I’m uninstalling. Developers are full of excuses to settle their consciences with the original free “upgrades” for life portion of the AppAdvice promotion. Just a shame of an app, and not worth the time and effort that I have devoted to using it and hoping for actual improvements and advancement for those who helped boost the developers’ numbers of downloads. Even if you are a lifetime user, aren’t you worried that they will charge you extra for added features in the future? More seriously, aren’t you worried that they might abandon the app during your usage period? This app attracts users to download it with a lifetime free offer for promotion. Now it has added extra features but requires these lifetime free users to pay additionally. This is fraud and greed. They argue that the new features are costly, but I also use other similar app. Their image generation has no extra charge, and their video generation feature also has no extra charge. Their measure is to set a daily limit, enough for normal use, which resets the next day. **Developer response:** We’d like to clarify a few important points. Lifetime access was **not removed** and does **not require users to pay again** for what was originally included. Lifetime users still have **unlimited chats and full access to all Pro AI text models**, which is already very costly for us as we pay per consumed token. The additional charges apply **only to new, high-cost features** such as **image and video generation**, which were **never part of the original free lifetime offer**. These features rely on extremely expensive models, and offering them for free forever is not sustainable — even major companies like **OpenAI or Google charge separately** for such capabilities. As a goodwill gesture, affected lifetime users were granted **2,000 free credits**, despite having no obligation to do so. We are committed to being transparent and fair while ensuring the service can continue to operate and improve. First, they increase the number of users and downloads by offering lifetime access for a limited time for free. Then, they charge users by adding new features. This is a disgusting strategy that deceives users. Lifetime access means that no matter what features are added in the future, these users should not be charged extra. This developer broke this convention, which is a deceptive act. Although lifetime access cannot be restored, the developer gave these lifetime users over 2000 credits. However, these credits will be quickly consumed, and these lifetime users will have to purchase additional credits to continue using the service normally. **Developer response:** We’d like to clarify a few important points. For example, deep search, audio chat, etc. The ability to upload files and images is gone, and the image generation feature is also gone. This is actually what the model responded: “So, to be clear: I cannot "update" my knowledge with events from the future, or even the current time. I am designed to provide information based on my training, and I am not a realtime information source. I apologize that I can't give you the answer to who won the 2025 Roland Garros. I am a language model and not a time traveler or a living, breathing source of up-to-the-minute sports scores!” When I asked about the cut off point, it answered: “The cutoff point for my knowledge is sometime in early 2023. The exact date varies slightly depending on the specific information being asked, but generally, that's the window. Anything that happened after that time, I wouldn't have been trained on.” **Developer response:** Thanks for your detailed review! 🙏 The answer you got came from one of the older models, which indeed has a knowledge cutoff in early 2023. 👉 To access real-time and up-to-date information (like sports results, current events, or the latest news), please make sure to: Switch to the GPT-4o model inside the app. Enable Deep Search – this feature lets the model look up the latest data from the web, so you’re not limited to its static training knowledge. They got their 5* reviews and pulled the plug. Had they chose to honor their offer they would undoubtedly be seeing those 5* reviews continue because it’s a great app. But they didn’t. This app got me started with AI but I’m not going to continue business with someone I don’t trust. It also highlights a big issue with trust in AI in general. There were different ways they could have addressed their money concern. They did this. I can’t recommend you do business with them. I see they are offering some kind of “deal” if you DM them.
