### 3/5 — It needs an update please for the 4 layers grrrrr

*2025-02-24, version 1.4.3*

Me

### 4/5 — Great App - Nice Addition to Omnisphere

*2022-02-16, version 1.4.3*

No technical issues for for me. Connects easily and remains connected. Would be nice for all controls in the Orb to be bidirectionally reflect activity (ex. Turn on/off Inertia on iPad should show the same in Omni itself). Also would be nice to have more than 75 patches available to choose from via the TR patch browser. Attraction button missing altogether in TR. Basically just have all the stuff integrated a bit better between TR and Omni to start with. Consider additional features thereafter.

### 3/5 — Updates

*2020-04-12, version 1.4.3*

Wow my dear Spectrasonics guys haven’t updated this wonderful app in 4 years

### 3/5 — When connected and working properly it’s brilliant.

*2017-12-22, version 1.4.3*

But for some reason it disconnected and I’m having a pig of a time connecting iPad to PC again.

### 3/5 — Please update for Omni 2 or make new Omni 2 app

*2017-08-27, version 1.4.3*

Useful however, cannot please:

Please update for Omni 2 or make new Omni 2 app

### 3/5 — Cool but limited

*2014-04-20, version 1.3*

Bluetooth support would make this 5 stars. It's a common situation for studio computers to be offline.

### 3/5 — Iffy connection

*2013-07-30, version 1.3*

This worked for a little while and when it did it was AWESOME. After awhile it just stopped working. Its a bummer, I would love to see an update for,the best synth program ever.

### 4/5 — Good But Would Be Incredible if Could Program Everything

*2013-02-21, version 1.3*

Good But Would Be Incredible If Could Program Everything From Scratch Using This App. Then you could just treat it like a hardware synth! Please do this :)

### 5/5 — wow !!!

*2011-03-19, version 1.1*

This this is great ! Lots of fun stuff in this update ! Thanks !

### 5/5 — Wow Thanks

*2011-03-17*

To every one at Spectrasonics, Id like to say thank you. I downloaded this app just to see what it could do, with no great expectations. Well I was blown away. The ability to control live mode and latch parts of multis on, and then switch to another part to play it, is awesome.
The Orb is also excellent. I found myself getting some great sounds out of some of the rhythmic patches. It really is more than just a gimmick. you can actually play this thing. Drag it with your finger, or give it a flick and let it go.
Having these extra controls available has made Omnisphere even more fun to play than it was before.
Most amazing of all is just how responsive the controls are. I could not notice any delay
Nice work people.

### 5/5 — Fantastic!!!!

*2011-03-04, version 1.1*

Love the orb, had some crashing but after disabling bluetooth it didn't happen any more I would love to see some more innovative controls like the orb, omisphere is my favorite softsynth and these types of free updates with iphone and ipad apps just keeps making it better and better.

Thank you so much for your fantastic work spectrasonics you have a fan here : )

### 5/5 — flawless

*2011-03-02, version 1.1*

This is a great addition to the usability of the already really impressive Omnisphere synth. I don't use it for live performances, where it should be of more actual use, but in the studio, it's a really effective and fun way to tweak your sounds.

### 1/5 — In Need Of Updates

*2016-12-10, version 1.4.3*

Not updated since iOS 8 I'm pretty sure & obviously not since Omnisphere 2 ......

May we please have an upgrade w/ backwards compatibility for Omnisphere 1 ?

Maybe some new features too ? PLEASE ?

### 1/5 — Crashes and lost connection

*2015-03-08, version 1.4*

The app looks great and is full of function but that's all pretty useless if it is always losing connection when there is no loss of connection from either iPad or Mac for any other services.

It would also be a lot more useful if it didn't either crash or whinge like a jealous three year old and throw its toys on the floor when the user decides to try another instrument.

Hopefully, these things will be addressed and this fine looking app will be worthy of the software it is supposed to enhance. I will then gladly give it five stars.

### 1/5 — Update app

*2014-09-12*

Please update app doesn't work with current iOS

### 1/5 — Update the app already!

*2013-11-03, version 1.3*

Update the app already spectrasonics, what's wrong with you people?

### 1/5 — Refuses to connect to Omnisphere in DP8

*2013-06-23, version 1.3*

Omni TR app refuses to connect to Omnisphere in DP8 host. Spent months trying everything in every combination ! Followed all Spectrasonics instructions to the letter and some, support has no solution.

### 1/5 — Crashing

*2013-02-12, version 1.3*

Not any good keeps crashing when changing to different sounds :(

### 1/5 — Did not work for me

*2012-05-15, version 1.3*

I contacted the customer service, however, I was still not able to get a connection on Windows 7 using Nuendo and Reaper as DAW.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2011-02-22, version 1.0*

This is buggy as hell. First it replaced my entire Omnisphere Multi without any warning. Then the controls were spotty at best - multiple seconds of delay between touching controls on the iPad and seeing changes reflected in the Omnisphere plugin. Then after a few minutes it just stops working altogether. Not happy. Not happy at all.

### 2/5 — Multiple instances too confusing

*2012-12-08, version 1.3*

Love the IDEA of the app, but if I'm running several (say 6) omnisphere instances from my host (mainstage), the iPad app sees them as "computer" 1, "computer" 2 etc... and I have no clue what's beyond that load screen as the order is determined by which instance loads first, not the order I place the patches, which is different every time I bring up a concert within the host.

Also, there is a bug whenever I try to load a new song from in the app in live mode. Click on the folder icon and it won't let me load another patch because some sort of pixel "overhang" won't allow me to touch the new patch.

Weird.

### 2/5 — Resetting multis? Crashing!

*2011-02-20, version 1.0*

Right now, if I use more than 3 instances of the orb, omnisphere decides to load a completely different multi set up and overwrites all settings, not quite usable yet.. Also, frequent crashes. Im sure it will get better! Thanks!

### 5/5 — Works For Me

*2017-12-14, version 1.4.3*

Although I just downloaded today and noodled around with it, I haven’t had any issues with the app. Then again, I’m just getting into Omnisphere, so I’ll have to learn both together. It’d be nice if you could initialize a Patch or Multi from the remote, but certainly not a deal breaker. Smooth response between iPad in Mac. This can definitely come in handy. And it’s FREE!

### 5/5 — The patch load button is buggy

*2012-09-02, version 1.3*

Please fix that bug!!!! It won't load my patches, (I have to do it manually from the Laptop). Maybe it's an iPad 3 retina issue??

### 5/5 — Pretty Awesome ...

*2012-04-20, version 1.3*

... Just like Omnisphere.

One feechur request: it would be nice if I could plug my Core MIDI keyboard controller into my iPad (via the camera connection kit) and have a wireless keyboard plus Orb controlling Omnisphere.

### 5/5 — Mind blowing

*2011-11-19, version 1.3*

This is why you buy an iPad and Omnisphere of course :-() luv it!

### 5/5 — Nice

*2011-09-23, version 1.1*

Very good app frm spectrasonics...

### 5/5 — A must have for musicians...

*2011-08-12, version 1.1*

It almost seems to work so naturally that you might wonder if the iPad was specifically designed for Omnisphere. The interface works flawlessly, I set up my own network on my macbook pro (so I don't have to depend on wi-fi signal when I travel) and the ipad immediately connects to my network and it works like magic.
I have been messing around with midi interfaces and controllers for sometime now, and by far this is the smartest innovation of them all.
Of course there will always be folks who want to add more features and editing options to the app, but we need to keep in mind that this is ONLY a controller or a trigger for your software. For all that it does, it does it the best. I love it and I will recommend it to all serious musicians.

### 5/5 — what happened to Omni Live??

*2011-05-11, version 1.1*

Omni TR appears awesome but why no more Omni Live in the App store? We don't all have Ipads. Yet =)

### 5/5 — Wow this is cool

*2011-04-01, version 1.1*

Absolutely fantastic tool! Especially for live performance. Works flawlessly. Funny how a $500 soft synth gets better tools and support than most of the $3000+ hardware keyboards I have owned. Omnisphere and now this TR tool is the future of electronic music.

### 5/5 — Outstanding app!

*2011-03-30, version 1.1*

It was what convinced me to finally get Omnisphere, and I'm not disappointed. State of the art stuff....Excellent implementation.

Orb is great fun on the pad. Would love to see an Arp edit page, and a Modulation page with the ribbon - the ribbon is wonderful, and needs to be used more! Access to both those functions for performing would be stupendous!

Would also be great if I didn't have to go through the connect page every time I switch to it when it's on my multitask taskbar - I find myself jumping back and forth between this, Touchable and Konkreet Performer a lot.

Kudos for a job well done...I look forward to your future updates!

### 5/5 — Very useful

*2011-03-30, version 1.1*

Excellent tool ...........
