### 2/5 — Device is good, but app is terrible

*2024-05-05, version 4.3.1*

Very frequently, it will not recognize my device, even though my device clearly recognizes my phone with the light changing. I’ve tried doing everything they’ve asked me to do and yet it’s incredibly finicky and unreliable. Very disappointing.

### 3/5 — App could use a rehaul

*2024-01-13, version 4.2.0*

The pain reduction only lasts 40 minutes so I have to constantly refresh it.

### 3/5 — App keeps disconnecting

*2023-12-18, version 4.2.0*

The app keeps on disconnecting from the device and once that happens it wont reconnect unless you shut the app and reopen it.

### 3/5 — App is OK

*2022-09-01, version 3.1.0*

The product itself seems to work, the app is not too useful beside help to select different modes. The previous version had more understandable pictures in how to place the device

Some desirable features/improvements:
- better Time tracking
- reminders
- video tutorials (animations with real people) about how to use it…
- planner (help to set/achieve goals)

The UI is simple which is great! (It’s based on google’s material design) I would say it’s a react-native app using material Ui or similar . It can be improved

### 2/5 — Good device and concept but the app is a joke

*2022-08-23, version 3.1.0*

The app is choppy / buggy when trying to pair the device. It take more than one attempt to get a mode activated. This needs to be fix or im thinking about returning this product.

### 2/5 — Device amazing, App not so much

*2022-07-09, version 3.1.0*

I get so frustrated with the app mostly because of the connectivity issues. Every time you open the app, you have to connect to the device. So I will start an hour long program, leave the app open on my phone, go to different apps, etc. Then when going back to the app, I have to connect again. My current program pops up, but the timer sometimes shows that the time started when I re-connected to the app.

I don’t look at history very often, but when I do, it makes me wonder if it’s inaccurate or if my device is turning off randomly without me knowing. I honestly think the log is wrong because one position I use often has the coils near my ears, and I can hear the device working. But my history shows literally dozens of sessions that are between one and seven minutes.

Another thing I wish were possible on the app is to add magnetic flux density to the custom programs. I found some great protocols on omnipemf’s website, but I can’t accurately save them in the app. That’s not a huge deal, but it would be nice! 🤷‍♀️

### 2/5 — Please update asap

*2022-06-02, version 3.1.0*

ASAP

### 2/5 — Cumbersome and antiquated

*2021-12-16, version 2.1.0*

This app is so unintuitive it’s almost taxing. It removes the sense of ease that the device it controls implies. It’s really disorganized and clunky. Needs to be much more streamlined. A great app for this type of product is the ōura app, the muse meditation headband app, or even the Bellabee app. Having yo control the device with the two taps and all that dilutes from the experience — just turn it on and let the app escort the user through the experience. Also: not seeing the immediate session recorded in the log is vexing. It makes me wonder if I did a session. Some sort of prompt after a session should appear.

### 3/5 — Update is improved

*2021-09-24, version 2.0.2*

Better app experience

### 3/5 — App ok - BUT doesn’t match pictures

*2021-08-01, version 1.7.2*

So the pictures of how the app should look - which seems like a REALLY nice layout - on the Neorhythm website and in the App Store do NOT match the actual app. My actual app is not laid out / formatted in a way that is nearly as nice as the pictures advertise. For example, the descriptions and pictures for the different types of predefined programs are in a separate section of the app, whereas it would be nice if the pictures of where to place the Neorhythm band were in the same section as where you select a program (as shown on their website and in the App Store). Also, I am unable to see a log of the sessions that I’ve completed, as also shown on their website and on the App Store. Why are there so many differences between how it is advertised vs what is actual in the app?

### 1/5 — Connection Issues

*2025-06-21, version 4.4.0*

This app is terrible. It will not connect to either of my devices.

### 1/5 — Bad App, UI & Instructions

*2025-04-18, version 4.4.0*

When it works, the device is great. The cryptic UI is incomprehensible and the instructions are incomplete, typo ridden and unhelpful.

### 1/5 — Bought the combo

*2023-08-24, version 4.0.1*

How do you connect the pad after connecting the band? How do you run them together only my band asks to connect?

### 1/5 — App is very incomplete and hard to use

*2023-06-21, version 4.0.1*

It’s hard to go back and forth between the recommended frequencies and the Custom program and Sequences.
The recommended programs make mention of the frequencies but not the MTs. The FAQ drop down arrow expands the answer but cuts off parts of the answer that can not be further expanded to be able to actually get an answer. The instructions on the website say there is a part where you login, but that part does not come up. Basically a lot of discrepancies between directions and the actual app in addition to the app being hard to manage and understand. The app has a clean look but is not user friendly like they advertise it to be. It’s honestly been a struggle to get started and considering the high price, I am considering returning the product all together.
I will test the actual efficacy OD the product even-though my experience is already bad with the app and see if it really helps. The poly thought out app makes me skeptical about the actual purpose of the NeoRythm.

### 1/5 — April 2023 still the same problems

*2023-04-28, version 4.0.1*

I am experiencing the same app connectivity issues that everyone else here is, ever since I purchased this device and downloaded the app. I'm sure we would all love an update please

### 1/5 — Lastest firmware made device unusable

*2022-11-26, version 4.0.0*

They forced a firmware update that’s required but won’t load onto my device and now it’s useless. I followed all the steps exactly as described on screen. 100% battery, connected to WiFi, I didn’t change screens or switch apps the device was next to the phone and connected but the firmware never progressed and stayed at 0% and now I can’t use my device.

### 1/5 — Naw App keeps crashing

*2021-11-07, version 2.0.3*

Cant run custom programs anymore. I contacted technical support to no avail. App still crashes. What was so wrong with the old app? It worked perfectly.

### 1/5 — What?

*2021-09-29, version 2.0.2*

Just got this device and all the literature says to setup through the app. The times I can get it to recognize the device I am told I need a firmware update. When I initiate the update the app crashes. Useless.

### 1/5 — Good Product but Needs Improvements

*2021-09-28, version 2.0.2*

I believe this is a great product as it worked for what it was meant to do, but It needs some improvements and app needs some more investment.

I have bought two devices and one of them started malfunctioning after two weeks. Not even a hard reset worked on the device.

Customer Service responds within 24 hours which is not bad, but it took almost over 6 days to for them to resolve my issue and ship me another device. Which I declined due to possibility of other devices malfunctioning and having to deal with all this again.

### 1/5 — Unreliable connectivity

*2021-06-26, version 1.7.2*

This device always seems to be disconnected to the app. The timer disappears every time you check the app to see how much time is remaining. It’s also not as effective as it’s marketed to be. Especially for Pain Control and Relaxation. It doesn’t even have a placebo effect as I want to believe it to work. Wasted money, which I would gladly be refunded for if not for the very limited window to get my money back.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great product!

*2026-02-26, version 4.5.0*

This device works wonders! Anyone that says differently expects instant miracles. It doesn’t make you a new person after one use— but it does amazing things! It put me to sleep the first time I used it. And I have horrible insomnia. Just be very careful and use the low setting when you first use it because it is a powerful device. It won’t hurt you on the high setting, but it might make you feel a little overwhelmed. But that just proves that it is working.
The battery stays charged for so long!
This app is required to use a device, and this app works great. I have had no problems with it, and you can customize your own settings, this product is a lifesaver

### 5/5 — Great Job on the app update!

*2025-11-18, version 4.5.0*

The new update looks amazing! I was shocked that you released a firmware update as well. I mainly use mine for pain, meditation, and sleep disorders. I can always tell it’s working—when I’m wearing my AirPods Pro, I can hear a faint, high-speed vibration from my NeoRhythm headset. This is my second headset; my friend tried to shove the first one up his arm as a joke and cracked it in two. I really love the transparent case on my current one!

### 5/5 — Love this!

*2025-07-05, version 4.4.0*

Love the app, love the versatility of the pemf. Love it all!

### 5/5 — It works

*2024-08-24, version 4.4.0*

Very thankful that I don’t have to pay a subscription for this app.

### 5/5 — Needs more options

*2024-03-06, version 4.2.0*

I defended the science of this device when it first came out and was attacked kindly do me the courtesy of adding these options 1- ability to ramp up frequencies instead of selecting one by one in custom mode. 2- ability to turn coils off in set modes

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2022-01-29, version 2.1.0*

The app is easy to navigate and has a new upgrade of custom frequencies!!! Thanks

### 5/5 — New version is a MASSIVE improvement

*2021-09-17, version 2.0.1*

The old version of this app worked, but sucked and I hated using it everyday. It took most of the year to finally get an update, but I’m happy to say that’s it’s a MASSIVE improvement and now using my NeoRhythm is a quick, pleasant experience. THANK YOU Omniperf for FINALLY getting this out!!! The app was the only thorn in an otherwise excellent product and now the experience feels smooth and easy.

### 5/5 — Brilliant

*2021-09-10, version 2.0.0*

The NeoRythm is incredible. I don’t mind that the app isn’t the most cutting edge interface because the results of the NeoRythm device are almost magical. It works. This is what living in the future is supposed to be like. Brain hacking in a beneficial, non-intrusive way that enhances the quality of my life. Kudos to the team for developing such a smartly designed and revolutionary device that has truly made our lives better.

### 5/5 — Customer Service is Fabulous- the app needs help

*2021-05-03, version 1.7.2*

I charged my Neorhythm, tapped it to wake it up. Green light. Connected it to my phone and there is no “Next” button.
It’s not possible to choose a program. Not possible to do anything.
Customer Service gets back to you in 24 hours, supposedly.
Update: while the app is being reworked to be user friendly what is user friendly is the staff. Once I had a telephone conversation- yup! - I started to use the Neorhythm and it’s great. I sleep better. Painful headaches lessen. Thanks

### 4/5 — Love the device, app needs polish

*2021-10-02*

I love the impacts of this device. It really, really works. Seriously. I have had better meditations or deeper calm. Better than a big glass of Merlot on a Friday night.

Hardware could be less bulky and improved.

App loses connection / sync with the headband but it doesn’t impact the performance of the headband as it operates in the directed mode autonomously.

Better polish on the app for connection, consistency and syncing would go a long way but can’t recommend highly enough.
