No dashboard that I can find. No way to view multiple projects at the same time. It just feels very limited. ### 2/5 — Do you have customer service? *2025-06-27* I would like to know in what way a company expects to be positively valued for its product when not even the paid version offers customer support. It's disappointing to see that this company doesn’t value customer service as it should—especially for small and medium-sized businesses. It's not a cheap product, and they should at least provide a minimum level of customer support. Just look, for example, at the fact that they don't even respond to messages in the App Store, even though it's a Mac-specific product... Seriously? The next thing was how un-Mac like it felt, which was strange since it's Mac only. It doesn't fit in with the consistent UI we are used to with Apple products. I also couldn't find any way to have sub-projects (where the progress of one project would influence other ones), the ability to prioritise minimising project cost, and a few other things I expected to be there. Some levelling results scheduled tasks for times when their resources weren't available and other strange behaviours. Dabei frage ich mich: "bin ich an dem Programm gewachsen, oder hat sich das Programm gebessert." Es hilft mir meinen Unterricht und alle zugehörigen Projekte zu strukturieren, und zu verwalten. Das Konzept zwischen free Standart Pro finde ich sehr ausgewogen. Ungeachtet dessen, dass 400,- für eine Pro-Version wirklich viel ist. mag ich das Arbeiten mit dem Programm. Winzige Anmerkung für die Entwickler: Die Gantt-Darstellung benötigt ein Padding (in die Zukunft 1 Tag/Woche/Quartal/Monat und nach untern 30 Umbrüche) da ich immer das Gefühl habe in einen zu kleinen Raum zu planen. so albern eine digitale Klaustrophobie klingt. ### 3/5 — Outline view has much room for improvement *2022-06-18* The Outlining functionality is welcome but currently barely works. There has to be a simpler way to indent/outdent/drag and drop tasks to build a hierarchy than that dragging that never indicated on which level and where a task will be dropped. In view of this , why is it not at least possible to move tasks selected via the “select” button (“move” is greyed out/ inactive), while this works perfectly in the gantt view? That means each bar and each connector is highlighted, in a very distracted and cluttered way. For the price they charge, I expected a lot more in terms of customer support, software functionality, and integration, but OmniGroup has consistently underdelivered in all these areas. Support is Abysmal First off, the support is terrible. You’d think with how much OmniGroup charges for their software, they’d have a responsive and professional support team. But no—don’t expect them to answer the phone, and when they finally do, the experience is often rude and unhelpful. They even discourage using their own internal sync solution (OmniSync Server), despite their documentation recommending it. It’s a complete disconnect between what they promise and what they deliver. Documentation is Outdated The documentation on their website is outdated, which only adds to the confusion. When you encounter an issue—and trust me, you will—you’ll find that their instructions are either missing key details or refer to settings and options that no longer exist. It feels like they’ve given up on keeping their users informed, leaving you to figure things out on your own. Software Lacks Basic Functionality In 2024, apps are expected to integrate seamlessly across ecosystems and devices. But OmniPlan, even with its hefty price tag, struggles to get basic sync functionality right. Getting my OmniPlan projects to sync from my Mac to my iPhone has been a nightmare, and I’m left with broken software that I paid $20/mo for—a so-called “privilege” that isn’t worth it. What’s more infuriating is that instead of fixing their built-in sync solution or providing reliable alternatives, they seem to expect users to cobble together workarounds. It’s unacceptable for software that’s supposed to be professional-grade. Final Verdict OmniGroup needs to step up their game—significantly. For the premium price they charge, they need to invest in quality support, keep their documentation up to date, and, most importantly, develop software that works as advertised. As it stands, you’re paying for the privilege of troubleshooting broken software and dealing with unresponsive support. Thanks! ### 1/5 — Rip off *2022-04-19* I purchased this app a while ago and paid WAY too much. I utilized it a few times and then quit using it. I recently reopened it, and I discovered I have to pay for it again. It wasn't worth it the first time; believe me, it's certainly not worth it the second time. It's very good at adapting your project if you need to make changes. The network diagram is a great way to see and set up dependencies. Leveling gives you a plan that optimizes your use of resources. Lots of ways to track costs, including costs over time. I'm brand new to project management, but found it very intuitive to start using this and learn more as I went. Support is also very good, and answers quickly. I definitely recommend this! Die App ist hervorragend für private Projekte und hervorragend für geschäftliche Projekte. Als Anwalt könnte ich mir nicht vorstellen, ohne Omniplan zu arbeiten. Bitte an Omni: bitte denkt doch an Möglichkeiten nach, die drei Apps miteinander zu verlinken.
