I’m very disappointed. ### 2/5 — Glitchy *2026-08-11, version 2.2.1* This app is so glitchy. Notifications are delayed. The app keeps also minimizing the screen so I can’t see the BG Graph or the amount of insulin to bolus unless i exit out of the app completely and go back in. ### 2/5 — Difficult to upgrade phone *2026-08-11, version 2.2.1* I recently upgraded my phone expecting the Omnipod basal and bolos settings to be transferred with the rest of the phone data, but it was not. This makes it dangerous and can be life threatening if those values are not saved elsewhere. This should be a simple software update Omnipod developers should implement. The app is also very difficult to use while driving. If my blood sugar is high and I need a bolus, it requires a Face ID to load the app, even though the phone is unlocked. Then getting a bolus set, added and delivered is a multistep process that distracts from the driving responsibilities. There has to be a better way. You know the way the iPhone camera app doesn’t let you take photos until you clear enough storage? Maybe something like that instead. Also if that’s REALLY necessary why not have the account save the settings for the pump since I’m already forced to link an account instead of having to redo it every time. ### 1/5 — Do not Uninstall the app or have to switch phones *2026-07-22, version 2.2.1* You will have to completely restart your profile and put all the information back in as it doesn’t have a save for your profile information so even if you just uninstall the app to try to fix a problem, you’ll have to rewatch the stupid video and you will have to reset your profile numbers completely which is just overly complicated enough that you’ll probably have to call your doctor for the information you need dear creators, make it so you can save your profile or transfer it to a different device it is 2026. I should be able to save every bit of information and transfer it to a new phone if I want to. ### 1/5 — Terrible for Diabetes Management *2026-07-17, version 2.2.1* I’ve been managing my diabetes since I was 7 years old and this has been the worst system I have ever had the misfortune of using. It has made diabetes very hard to manage, and more of an inconvenience than ever. It regularly has fatal errors, I’ve had to reinstall the app and I have lost all of my insulin settings multiple times, numbers and settings that have taken years to figure out. It offers very little control over management, and my A1C is much higher since using the system. ### 1/5 — Your app is genuinely buns *2026-07-16, version 2.2.1* Never in my 13 years of being diabetic did my omnipod meter fail me this app frequently says there's extra pods activated around me when there is not I have to leave my house just to get my pods to prime so I can stay alive ### 4/5 — Please add a fat/carb delayoption *2026-07-10, version 2.2.1* The automatic mode is super awesome however if my food has certain amount of fat I need to adjust the split dose/extended bolus. This is crucial to avoid spikes/drops. Like why is that even a thing ? My Dexcom can run on iOS 27 beta versions fine with no issue, but this app says my software or iOS version isn’t compatable, I had to downgrade my iOS version just to be able to use this app again. Why can’t I use any iOS version like literally all other apps ? It only uses Bluetooth to communicate with my G7 and I manually enter my carbs and glucose from my G7 I don’t see the incompatibility. I’m scared to even update my iOS version even with official updates from Apple I shouldn’t be afraid to do that, developers please fix this issue, plenty of users have this issue not just me. ### 4/5 — Want to use with watch *2026-06-26, version 2.2.1* I love the fluidness of the app but I don’t like having to use my phone to dose all the time when I am trying to not use it, when the watch app for Dexcom came out I saw it as a opportunity to not use my phone. Hopefully it will happen soon. Carrying around what equates to two cell phones is not what I had in mind. I’ve scrolled all over the screen and hit every link and it won’t let me press the agree button. ### 1/5 — A pain in the rear *2026-08-29, version 2.2.1* I’m coming over from a traditional insulin pump, and I’m trying to go back. This thing will annoy you constantly, doesn’t respond fast enough for bolus and your sugar will shoot through the roof, the placements are ridiculous, you can’t get a foot away from a sensor before it loses connection, which means you have to stab yourself in the arms repeatedly every 3 days, you will waste a ton of insulin, and if you try to load less, you will run out. And last but not least, it only works with iPhone or a couple of android phone, so if you have a 1200 dollar galaxy fold, it won’t work. It’s junk, virtually no customer support, so if you have an issue, good luck. ### 1/5 — Garbage *2026-08-25, version 2.2.1* App is fried want delete ### 1/5 — New target update is a scam !! *2026-08-19, version 2.2.1* The 100 mg/dL Target is a Complete Ghost Number The recent algorithm update for the Omnipod 5 introduces a new 100 mg/dL target glucose option, marketed as a way to achieve tighter control. In practice, however, this setting functions as a complete ghost number and a scam of a feature.  Despite running fully updated software on the correct R1-compatible pods, with "correct above 100" configured and the target explicitly locked at 100 mg/dL, the automated system behaves as though a rigid emergency threshold remains enforced around 110 mg/dL. During real-world use, when blood glucose sits at 117 mg/dL—well above the designated 100 mg/dL target—the SmartAdjust algorithm completely suspends insulin delivery. Instead of providing the necessary micro-dosing to steer the numbers downward, it cuts off all insulin, causing glucose to bounce right back up.  If an automated insulin delivery system cuts off all insulin at 117 mg/dL while a 100 mg/dL target is active, the setting is a placebo. It forces an artificial ceiling that contradicts the user's input, resulting in an endless loop of premature suspensions, flat-lining, and subsequent rebounds. For experienced users looking for genuine glycemic control, this system is a piece of junk. I am sticking with the Tandem Mobi. ### 1/5 — Not working *2026-08-17, version 2.2.1* It needs to be deleted and reinstalled I need help idk how to delete it and reinstall it please help ### 1/5 — Shady - lies in their release notes *2026-08-11, version 2.2.1* In the 3 years I’ve been using Omnipod I’ve got them in multiple lies, such as stating in their release notes that changes would be undetectable in the UI - but the fix is for a glitch in the UI. And then the glitch was back about a week later. A shady company that needs to be investigated. They make too much money to take advantage of people paying hundreds/month to use their poorly functioning product. ### 1/5 — Can’t even gain access *2026-08-06, version 2.2.1* For some reason it won’t recognize my ID but when I try to create a new account it tells me I already have an account and an ID and it proceeds to tell me the ID I’m already trying ### 1/5 — Needs a lot of fixing *2026-07-27, version 2.2.1* 2 of the most annoying problems is constantly having to open the app with Face ID even when the phone is unlocked and second is the app randomly crashed and you have to delete and redownload. Happened to me at night and I just wanted to put another omnipod in but no I had to watch a whole 5 minute video and put back all my settings in for me to do that. Adding on now, they still haven’t added omnipod for the iPhone 17 ### 1/5 — Fix Dexcom G7 Connection *2026-07-22, version 2.2.1* Omnipod app consistently fails to get BG readings from the G7, while the Dexcom app (using the same Bluetooth connection) has no issues at all. Clearly an app/software issue that renders automatic controls useless. Update: it appears I had the pod in a bad position it wasn't working properly. After changing the pod and putting it in a different area, the 100 target glucose is working spectacularly. Very efficient and bringing me down. A good range without staying high for hours.. It is actually a good update. What I posted before was due to bad absorption from a bad. Spot I had placed the Omnipod. Now it is doing extremely well. It is doing a wonderful job of keeping me in range. My mom has had her pod for 16 years now and she still hasn’t changed to a different cumpuny. Since I have been using the pod I have kept my numbers in check and my A1C at an acceptable level.
