### 1/5 — Useless- currently

*2022-11-17*

Zero stars. Once upon a time this app was essential for diabetes management with my child now it’s completely useless. We are on week 3 of the data being anywhere from 12-24 hours delayed even though the time stamp is current. The data is correct on the Omnipod Display app on my child’s phone but forever incorrect on the View app. We have deleted, reinstalled, unfollowed, refollowed and nothing fixes it. Completely useless at the moment.

### 1/5 — Can’t connect to new PDM

*2022-11-12, version 1.3.3*

Had to get a new PDM and now can’t connect at all. I have sent my phone 4 access codes get them in about 30 minutes, then it says the codes expired. When the app was working it was always off and never accurate to what the actual IOB was.

### 1/5 — Omni Pod view

*2022-11-08, version 1.3.3*

12 to 24 hours to refresh data. irritating app needs to be updated, fixed or replaced!!!

### 2/5 — OmniPod 5

*2022-10-12, version 1.3.3*

When will the app for OmniPod 5 be available?

### 1/5 — TG

*2022-10-04, version 1.3.3*

It is always one day or two days behind, unsatisfied

### 3/5 — Please extend app to Omnipod 5

*2022-09-30, version 1.3.3*

Great functionality that currently isn't available for Omnipod 5.

### 1/5 — What’s the point?

*2022-09-29*

I have this app to keep track of my son’s IOB and it’s absolutely useless! For the last few weeks it’s so far behind (even though the timestamp is current), that it’s completely off and unusable!! There have to be people that work on these apps and know there’s a problem! We pay more than enough for the Omnipods, so there has to be money to hire people that know what they’re doing to maintain this app!!

### 1/5 — No Omnipod 5 Support

*2022-09-14, version 1.3.3*

Needs to support Omnipod 5!

### 1/5 — Very bad app

*2022-08-11, version 1.3.3*

90% of the time this app doesn’t function properly. It lags to about 3 days behind. Useless for trying to keep track of my sons dosing and insulin onboard. Very displeased.

### 3/5 — A change in the last week or two.

*2022-07-16*

Currently- this app isn’t giving accurate readings even when the time stamp of the update is current. This didn’t used to happen. So a basal rate change may not be visible even if the update time stamp is 30 minutes after the change… or a dose that shows up on the controller…. Doesn’t show up on follow. Or the “on-board” could be completely different between the two.

### 1/5 — Please add support for Omnipod 5!!!

*2022-07-08, version 1.3.3*

We have now, for the first time, completely forgotten to change our son’s pod. COME ON with the update!!!! This is dangerous!! We had a busy evening and couldn’t change it when the first beep happened. Second and final warning was in the middle of the night and nobody heard it. My son was panicked this morning when he finally heard the blaring beep.

### 3/5 — Really handy app, need Omnipod 5 support 🙏🏻

*2022-06-24, version 1.3.3*

This has been incredibly handy app for us while our son had Omnipod Dash to track basal rates, boluses, IOB, etc to help manage his sugar remotely. We just got Omnipod 5 (which is amazing!) which doesn’t work with this app. Please update!!!

### 1/5 — Refresh/Update

*2022-06-22, version 1.3.3*

I don’t always get updated information…often it says 3+ days ago.

### 1/5 — Last update 3 days ago

*2022-05-13, version 1.3.3*

The app don’t update. Pretty much worthless to see what happened 3 days ago.

### 1/5 — Absolute garbage

*2022-05-12, version 1.3.3*

I cannot even accept the invitation from my daughter. The suggestion the app gives is to have a new invite code sent. After trying 7 codes over three days and still not being able to connect, I believe the app doesn’t work. This is pretty disheartening since and doesn’t give me much confidence about choosing an Omnipod pump.

### 1/5 — Quality pods; crappy app

*2022-02-14, version 1.3.3*

Quality pods; crappy app. Can’t install. Says turn on background refresh but it’s already on.

### 1/5 — Would be great if it worked consistently

*2022-01-17, version 1.3.1*

I have an Apple iPhone 8 Plus. My daughters readings will only update every 24 hours or so. Called customer service and their solution is to reinstall software which I can do every 24 hours. So annoyed that it doesn’t work and they can’t or won’t fix it.

### 3/5 — Background Refresh Would Be Nice

*2021-11-06, version 1.3.1*

My wife has an Omni pod and we’ve discovered that my app won’t allow me to track her insulin on board if she doesn’t have the app open on her end. Seems like a bit of an oversight.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Useless because it almost never updates

*2024-05-24, version 1.3.3*

I wanted to use it to assist my daughter in managing her diabetes so I can see what basal settings and IOB the pod has. But it almost never updates. It is often 5 to 8 hours behind and therefore totally useless.
It does not matter if we are in the same home network, the synching is abysmally hours behind.
Please fix the synching!

### 1/5 — The idea is good but that is if you can view it.

*2023-06-22*

We got the dash and after followed instructions to download the view app. My son is able to get it on his app but I am unable to connect to the link on the view app. I intended to call and before I knew it a month had gone by. Called to get the help on this issue and was told this has been happening to others as well and the problem has yet to be fixed for some time now. The lack of urgency in fixing this issue is concerning to me. Hoping soon this issue will be resolved so myself and my sons school nurse will be able to view his info.

### 1/5 — NOT WORKING

*2023-05-16, version 1.3.3*

Both my sister and I were added by my father as invites to view his omnipod, when we try to accept the invite an error page displays- I have tried to contact customer support and they were not helpful. It seems like this feature is too buggy for omnipod. The amount of money that they charge should warrant a flawless system but this definitely falls short

### 1/5 — Omnipod 5

*2023-03-07, version 1.3.3*

Need app updated to view Omnipod 5 users. Glooko doesn’t update on app unless you sign out and back in (they say they’re aware of problem and working on) and even when updated doesn’t show when pod was changed last, how much insulin is left, etc.

### 1/5 — Omnipod VIEW APP stopped working

*2023-02-09, version 1.3.3*

Had the VIEW app on my phone working fine for about 3 weeks. Out of no where last night it stopped updating correctly. The time updates but the IOB and alerts take time to update causing delayed or incorrect IOB. DISPLAY APP working perfectly fine on my sons phone. Tried deleting VIEW APP from my phone, unfollowing and refollowing. Invitation codes not working saying “invitation error”. Now I have no way of viewing my sons insulin when he is in school.

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2022-11-29, version 1.3.3*

This app rarely works. Very difficult to reconnect after it freezes. When it works, it’s great.

### 1/5 — Very unreliable

*2022-11-27, version 1.3.3*

It is very unreliable. A lot of times it doesn’t work. Now for weeks it is showing error and old readings. Insulet knows about it but they are doing nothing to fix it. You can not relay on it.

### 1/5 — Child on Omnipod

*2022-11-22, version 1.3.3*

Can not get the viewer app to work on parents phone. Did everything correctly with setting up PDM and setting up display on child’s phone. But will not accept invite on parents phone. We have tried over and over it just won’t accept. Disappointed this was a big deal to us as parents to have this technology to help monitor my child. :(

### 1/5 — Unreliable

*2022-11-17*

Being able to view data from my wife’s OmniPod Dash system is important to me. The View app just does not do that on a consistent basis. Whether we are both on the same wi-fi network or in different locations I can’t count on data in my View app matching what is on her PDM. Alerts from her PDM sometimes come in a day late, not much use. A call into Insulet for a tech assist results in a promised return phone call that never happens. Please make the next iteration of View more reliable.

### 1/5 — Syncing issues

*2022-11-17, version 1.3.3*

For whatever reason, despite my son’s display app functioning correctly, the display app running in the background of my son’s phone- the View App for the past couple of months has been several hours behind. It’s saying the last PDM update is accurate, but the last PDM communication with the pod is Hours behind.

It’s boggling to me since the PDM itself is functioning fine, updating the view app fine but it is NOT translating to the view app.

When my son is at school I have no idea if he is actually correcting, or how much IOB he has. It’s super frustrating because I don’t know if he is ignoring my instructions, or if I’m telling him to correct too often.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Well

*2022-10-10, version 1.3.3*

When it will be available for the Omnipod 5?

### 5/5 — Change

*2022-08-24, version 1.3.3*

Make new device medical not pharmaceutical

### 5/5 — Awesome App!

*2021-09-15*

This app helps me keep track of my daughter’s needs. She is a teenager and sometimes forgets to dose when she has small meals or snacks, this app allows me to follow her habits, what she is doing or not doing. Thank you and please continue to develop helpful tools!

### 5/5 — Omnipod not consistently updating

*2021-07-02, version 1.3.1*

Would be nice if updated on a regular basis. So many times not communicating. Very frustrating. Can’t see if bolus and status of pix.

### 5/5 — Argh

*2021-05-04, version 1.3.1*

3 months ago the app stopped updating can u guys fix this YET again

### 5/5 — Works Good

*2020-12-28*

Unfortunately I’ve gotten a sever error several times. Only way I was able to fix it was to uninstall and reinstall the app. Unfortunately, at that point my son has to send me a new invitation. Wish it would remember my previous sign in. And just allow me to re-Sign in.
When it works.. I’ve had no issues. But the uninstall/reinstall is annoying.

### 5/5 — Good App, but there are server issues

*2020-01-14*

Works great... when it works. Every few days, I get a pop up saying there is a server error. Sometimes it says there is an error with updates from the cloud.
Only way I can fix it is by uninstalling and reinstalling app. Unfortunately every time I do that, my son has to send me another verification to set it up. Frustrating.
When it is working, I love it. One of the main screens shows the last BG and bolus. I can also see other insulin and BG history so I know if he has been blousing.
It nice I can see pod status to know if his insulin the pod is running low and what day it was activated.
Another great feature is I get notices for alarms, such as occlusions, low insulin in reservoir and reminders to check his BG after anew pod has been activated.
Good app, but it would be so much better if it would connect to servers better.

### 5/5 — Banner has gone red and no updates whatsoever

*2020-01-05*

For the last week the view app banner has been red and the only thing we were able to see was the last bolus and alarms only. No IOB or current basal. Now, we only see in the history tab last bg and bolus although not accurate at all since it does not show every bolus ( skips some at random). No other information is displayed and it say “last communication with pod is 3 plus days ago.
We need Insulet to fix this ASAP.

### 4/5 — Be careful if you depend on this app

*2021-01-01*

The app is known to have outages. It seems Insulet does not have adequate staff to maintain the infrastructure, so when there are outages they can last for weeks.

I write that with a sense of ambiguity since Insulet does not openly share information on outages like Dexcom and other medical tech companies.

My suggestion is Insulet approaches their operations as a medical tech company, understands the apps are a core part of their service offering, and treat outages that effect thousands of users as major issues.

### 4/5 — Server Error Pop Up

*2019-08-25*

Have been running the app for 5 days now and today kept getting a pop up saying there was a server error getting data. Called OmniPod to check on it and was told that any issues with the app were an Apple problem. I ended up deleting the app and reinstalled it and it is working again.
