We're glad you like our Blender add-on! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Seems impressive, but it's just another monthly fee *2026-06-17* Everything really shouldn't be a subscription, your current customers shouldn't be expected to support your ongoing dev costs, flat fee or I'm out, yall know the majority of your money comes from hobbyists who forget to unsub 1 year is 80$ btw, after that you have to resub, most software lets you keep the version you have without updates if you pay for a year **Developer response:** Hi, supporting hobbyists is actually very important to us, which is why Omniscient has a free version that can already be used for many workflows. The subscription is only there for users who need the more advanced tools. Omniscient is a very niche app that requires ongoing development, support, testing, and maintenance. The subscription model is what allows us to keep improving the app instead of releasing it once and eventually letting it stop working over time. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. It looks like you may have purchased the premium version by mistake, in which case you can request a reimbursement. Also, it's good to know that the premium subscription is much cheaper if you subscribe for a month or a year. We’d also love to know what other features you’d like to see added in future updates. ### 4/5 — My perfect vfx solution *2024-05-09* I’ve been looking for a cross between similar movie recording tracking apps and the Black Magic Cam app and am thinking I’ve found it in Omniscient. I’ve only shot a couple of tests so far but I am super impressed. I’m not sure what the roadmap is but some features I would love are: Motion smoothing for cinematic recording 3D mesh import of low poly models for proxy lineups. The ability to choose the other cameras. A simple chroma keyer and garage tool. I think this will still be my app of choice thanks to its ability to record ProRes 24fps UHD and full control of camera settings like iso, focus and white balance. **Developer response:** Hi Zegroeg, Thanks for your review! Importing 3D models is on our roadmap, and we might add a chroma keyer as well. Regarding motion smoothing, using sensor stabilization isn't possible at the moment, but we're working on an alternative. Additionally, performing camera tracking with the other cameras isn't feasible due to external limitations, but we hope to add this feature in the future.
