## What is On Cue?

Music hits differently when it arrives at the right moment.

On Cue pays attention to the parts of your day you choose to share, such as time, places, calendar rhythm, weather, movement, travel, and your music taste, then surfaces a song when the moment earns one.

Try it free for a month! Both the annual and monthly subscriptions include a 1-month trial to start adding a soundtrack to your life.

The Cue arrives as a notification, so the experience comes to you instead of asking you to open another app.

HOW IT WORKS

Connect the sources you are comfortable sharing.

Tune On Cue so it knows more about what fits you.

Then go live your day.

When a moment lines up, a Cue arrives with a song chosen for that moment. Play it with Apple Music, save the moment on your device, or skip it.

MIXES

Have a moment in mind? Pick a vibe or tell On Cue what you're doing, and get a mix of songs for it. Made from Apple Music's playlists for moments like this, with songs from your library where they fit. What you type stays on your iPhone.

Swipe to Keep or Swap each song, ask for More like this, and Undo any change. Every song plays in full on Apple Music. When it feels right, tap Save to Apple Music and your mix becomes a playlist in your library.

Mixes is part of the On Cue subscription.

QUIET BY DESIGN

On Cue is not trying to fill every silence.

If the moment is not good enough, it stays quiet. You can change context permissions, set quiet behavior, and tune how receptive you want On Cue to be.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

Context interpretation, Cue scoring, raw calendar context, location history, Apple Music listening history, and private learned taste stay on your iPhone. What you type for a mix stays on your iPhone, and On Cue only adds to your Apple Music library when you tap Save to Apple Music. On Cue uses deliberately limited account, subscription, and product analytics services to operate the app without turning your private context into an analytics profile.

APPLE MUSIC

Playback requires an eligible Apple Music subscription and permission to access Apple Music.

Eligible customers can try On Cue free for a limited time, then continue with a monthly or annual subscription. Current localized pricing, trial length, and renewal terms are always shown by the App Store before purchase and can be managed through your Apple Account.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.0.0 — 2026-10-30

- New: Mixes. Have a moment in mind? Pick a vibe or tell On Cue what you’re doing, and get a mix of Apple Music songs for it. What you type stays on this iPhone.
- Refine with swipes: Keep or Swap each song, ask for More like this, and Undo any change.
- Save to Apple Music, and your mix becomes a playlist in your library. Saved mixes are listed under Your mixes.
- If you like, what you keep or swap in Mixes can help your future Cues. It’s off until you turn it on in Music.
- Mixes is part of the On Cue subscription.
- When you delete your account, you can also forget what On Cue learned on this iPhone.
- Fixes and improvements.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-10-09

- In Tune, choose how present On Cue is: Quiet, Everyday or Soundtrack. Every setting holds songs to the same bar.
- Need some quiet? “Silence the soundtrack… for now” pauses Cues until you’re next open to one. Resume brings them back sooner.
- Skip an opened Cue and, if you like, tell On Cue “Not now” or “Not this one.”
- An opened Cue can now say, in a line or two, why it arrived.
- Avoid › Explicit now also covers the songs On Cue suggests itself, checked against Apple Music in your country.
- Fixes and improvements.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-10-04

- Fixes a problem that could stop subscribing right after signing in with Apple.
- Signing in with Apple now comes after you subscribe, and stays available anytime from the home screen.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-10-02

- No Apple Music subscription yet? On Cue now says so up front, lets you try Apple Music without leaving the app, and plays a 30-second preview of your first Cue's song.
- Choose whether On Cue learns from your Apple Music listening when you connect it. It stays off unless you turn it on, and what it learns stays on your iPhone.
- New in Music › Shape the music: Avoid › Explicit keeps On Cue from choosing anything Apple Music marks as explicit.
- Motion & Fitness can now help time your Cues: On Cue can tell a drive or a ride from a walk, on your iPhone.
- Before you subscribe, one line tells you if something on this iPhone would keep Cues from coming.
- Fixes and improvements.
