Unable to load the card on my app. Had to even download the app which I don’t want to do. You make access the gift card more troublesome than it needs to be. Now I’m just going to use another company altogether because the usability has been trash. **Developer response:** We’re really sorry to hear about your experience. We truly value your feedback and are always working to improve 💜 ### 1/5 — Horrible user experience *2025-06-25* I was gifted a $10 gift card for coffee by a business associate. I received it via sms. I had to create an account to access it. Once I accessed it, I tried to add it to my Apple wallet. I had to download and install the app. Ok. Then I tried to add it and it said it required a minimum of $20 to do so. Ok. So I tried to add it to a Starbucks gift card as the original gift said it could be used at Starbucks. It threw errors, which probably meant I could not use it for transfers. So I tried to buy a gift card. Same thing. I’ve probably wasted 30 mins now trying to get to where I could actually use this $10. Terrible user experience. Totally invalidated the nice attempt at a gift from my friend for advising her on her business. **Developer response:** We’re so sorry to hear about your experience. Currently, cards need a minimum balance of $20 to be added to mobile wallets and can be topped up in app! And On Me gift cards are a gift within themselves, so they can’t be used to purchase other gift cards. Every single time I try to buy something. Almost impossible to use up because can’t use on half the websites without adding more money (because you often can’t pay with more than one card and can’t select an exact amount to put on the card). The process should be simplified to a Venmo style process. I click where/who I send money to and hit send. This app is bad ### 1/5 — If you like your friend, don’t use this app. *2026-03-27, version 1.5.14* Show your friends how much you hate them by sending them a gift through this app. Such a hassle. I was gifted $100 card. Before I can use it I have to download the app and provide my phone number. After getting into the app it gives you the ability to add to your apple wallet. iPad doesn’t have a wallet app. It finally showed up in the wallet on my phone, but won’t accept the CVV code required to add it to the wallet for use. So I chat in to the reps, but I have to stand by for a half hour waiting for a response. Even if the reps are able to help with this, this app is such a damn hassle. ### 1/5 — Not easy to split payments *2026-01-27* While purchasing a Coursera annual subscription I wanted to use my card to pay for this. As it would not split payments easily I was charged for the whole balance on my personal card. I have no other use for the card beside making a purchase for learning. (Which now I have) so basically it’s a waste of money sitting in my Apple wallet at the moment. Extremely dissatisfied at the ease of use for this. I have spent at least $20 of my own trying to rent or buy using the gift card. Good idea but horrible execution ### 1/5 — Terrible user experience *2025-11-28, version 1.5.8* This is such a terrible product. I was gifted $20 to be able to buy lunch from one of 90 restaurants. I went to the website of one of them and tried to use it, but it was declined because my order was more than $20 and I guess split payments aren’t accepted on this restaurant’s site. So I drove to the restaurant and ordered my lunch, and even though the restaurant can handle split payments, it was declined again ….even when they just tried to charge the card $20 which was its value, Then 5 minutes after I paid for the whole lunch on my own card, I got a text telling me I had to add an additional $15 to my On Me gift to be able to use it, even though I was only short roughly $7. DO NOT BUY OR GIVE THIS AS A GIFT TO ANYONE ### 1/5 — Difficult to use card *2025-11-19* I received this gift card for $15. It was unusable until I added five more dollars to it. I’m down to a lower balance $5 on the card and it will not let me use the full balance left on the card.
