### 2/5 — ON1 app

*2026-07-16, version 20.1.17740*

Very glitchy

### 3/5 — Okay

*2026-05-07, version 20.1.17740*

Needs powerful PC and app is mediocre on tablet

### 2/5 — A sad imitation of the desktop version

*2026-05-03, version 20.1.17740*

I tried the desktop version and liked it so I cancelled my LR subscription and bought this. I mostly use my iPad for photo editing and this is really disappointing. LR on iPad is almost on par with the desktop version while this only has a fraction of the features of the desktop version. Where is the interface from your App Store screenshots? Where is the file browser and folder management? The heal brush is so bad it’s unusable. This app looks like someone started working on it and gave up a quarter of the way through.

### 2/5 — No save preset

*2026-05-02, version 20.1.17740*

I like the App but there is no save preset option. That’s a bummer I have a paid account.

### 2/5 — Mo’ Money

*2026-03-28, version 20.1.17740*

I hate subscriptions. Thought I was buying use the app, not endless subscriptions to more pieces of the app. Paid $119 + tax last night. Tried to use tonight, immediately start getting Buy more pieces if your want to use this app. All I am able do is the same thing I can do on Apple Photos, really basic adjustments. Next, Another $40 for ON1+, whatever that is, I think is training videos. When I try to use a tool that isn’t already available to me in Apple Photos for free, the ON1 app gives me one option, buy a cloud subscription. I don’t want a cloud subscription. I want to store locally, at least until I decide if I like the app. I am fed up with subscriptions. Two stars is a generous rating for my experience with this app so far. Might be a good app, but I don’t think I’ll ever know, because I am not buying a SUBSCRIPTION to cloud storage. I already pay for cloud storage with Apple. What else are you going to try to sell me?

### 2/5 — Was looking for alternative to lightroom

*2025-12-04, version 20.1.17740*

Zooming in and editing will cause the app to crash on my phone

### 4/5 — Not Exactly

*2025-11-08, version 20.0.17639*

The ap is similar to desktop, but not as easy to use, & some tools I use in that space, are not here, or as readily available.

### 2/5 — Why on screen rotate functionality

*2025-11-05, version 20.0.17639*

This would be so much better if you could rotate the screen for landscape photos!

### 2/5 — Decent Step

*2025-11-02, version 20.0.17639*

Just Ok. On1 for Mac has far more filters and capability. Having only a handful on On1 Mobile is very limiting. I guess for syncing and sharing it’s ok but falls FAR short as an editor. The editing is not much better than native iOS camera app or free SnapSeed app.

Basically, capture, organize, due basic things then do serious editing on Mac.

### 1/5 — Way too slow to bother with.

*2025-10-23, version 20.0.17639*

Tried using this on an m1 iPad Pro as am currently looking to ditch adobe / lightroom due to my hate of thier bloating subscription costs. Truthfully this is just too painfully slow to use even before getting to the point where you can make any actual adjustments. Good that you get a 30 day free trial, but doesn’t take long to realise this is just a badly flawed product. Similarly the desktop version is also frustratingly slow when I tested it on an M3 pro MacBook Pro, so either there is a problem with both of my devices, or this software option is just not up to task (on apple devices at least).

### 2/5 — It’s decent when it works

*2025-10-22, version 20.0.17639*

So tired of app developers getting the basics only half way right and then rolling out advanced and gimmicky features. The basics that this app doesn’t yet have figured out are: editing for more than 5 min without the app crashing. I feel like that’s all I need to say. Bought the lifetime app to replace Lightroom. Guess that money is gone and now I’m headed back to Lightroom 🤷‍♂️

### 3/5 — Syncing $$$

*2025-10-17, version 19.2.16851*

As an ON1 desktop user, I was happy to have an iPad app as well. Problem is if you’re using both you want to be able to sync back-and-forth. You can do that if you want to subscribe in order to do that. Five dollars a month, $60 a year just to sync your photographs!

### 3/5 — Masking Bug Crashes app

*2025-09-07, version 19.2.16851*

Works great until you attempt to use the masking tool. 99% of the time applying a mask hard crashes the app.

### 1/5 — Bought for iPad, not functional on iPad.

*2025-08-26, version 19.2.16851*

As a travel photographer I wanted to try out an alternative to Lightroom mobile, and bought this after trying on iPhone where it worked pretty well. Turns out the iPad version crashes on open. Fresh install on a 2022 iPad Pro. Tried restarting iPad, no difference.

### 1/5 — Starting

*2025-08-18, version 19.2.16851*

I cannot even get this started , so far this is not good , I would like to request my money back thank you.

### 1/5 — Someone’s idea of a joke?

*2025-07-27, version 19.2.16851*

Imported this onto my iPad, tried to use it only to find that any of my stored RAW images imported at only 160X121 or so. Smaller than thumbnails. I’m supposed to be able to edit like this?! This app is some company’s idea of a joke, right? All the money seems to have gone into advertising and nothing into actual development.

### 2/5 — Very unstable on my iPad, sadly

*2025-07-20, version 19.2.16851*

Nice functionally but it keeps crashing on my iPad

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Mostly Useless

*2026-07-23, version 20.1.17740*

Does not seem as though ON1 puts in much effort with this Mobile App. You never really see anything on their Website in regard to the App. I just came to the point I don’t even try to use it anymore. Just not worth the headaches.

### 1/5 — ON1 Studio and I have to pay more?

*2026-07-13, version 20.1.17740*

I downloaded the mobile app because on one studio said I would have everything. I logged in and the first thing I see is it wants me to pay more- I guess I’m the fool.

### 1/5 — Nowhere near the quality of desktop app

*2026-06-11, version 20.1.17740*

On1 Photo Raw on the iPad is basically unusable for me. Trying to add any type of mask produces a lockup and then the app just quits. Customer support says it's a "known issue" and will be fixed in a "future release". Thanks.

### 1/5 — Not even for free

*2026-04-03, version 20.1.17740*

I own the iMac paid version which is fairly good. This one is slow and crashes all the time. Totally unusable when you are on the go,

### 1/5 — Does not work

*2026-03-08, version 20.1.17740*

Does not work with my sony A7iv raw files. Works with my Iphone photos but when I tried to edit raw files I get a blank screen. The app is very slow and is worst that basic. I been in it for an hr and cannot get it to work. App is very very glitchi

### 1/5 — Crashes

*2026-01-26, version 20.1.17740*

Just crashes when I try to edit a photo

### 1/5 — Does not work

*2026-01-25, version 20.1.17740*

Does not work with my sony A7iv raw files. Works with my Iphone photos but when I tried to edit raw files I get a blank screen. The app is very slow and is worst that basic. I been in it for an hr and cannot get it to work

### 1/5 — Crashes 100% of the time. Utterly useless app.

*2025-11-28, version 20.1.17740*

I purchased the ON1 Full app for my desktop machine and decided to download the mobile app. It crashes 100% of the time I’ve tried reinstalling. I’ve rebooted multiple times. I’m running the most recent iPad Pro so system resources should not be an issue. The app is completely unusable and useless.

### 1/5 — STILL Not even a value add vs. desktop

*2025-11-13, version 20.0.17639*

November 2025. ON1: Basic UI glitches like being unable to tap the X to close the new filter dialog on modern iPhones. No support for arguably the only differentiating feature of ON1: their AI denoising. Using that on a PC precludes you from editing that pic with this. Overall just a frustrating and clunky experience.
Competitors: great UX, modern AI features.

Please don’t make me switch to Lightroom.

### 1/5 — UNUSABLE

*2025-10-27, version 20.0.17639*

This app keeps freezing whenever I try to edit a RAW photo

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — It’s ‘ok’

*2026-03-10, version 20.1.17740*

ON1 for mobile has the potential to be a really good tool in your photo editing arsenal but it’s too buggy and crashes frequently. I’m using it on an M5 iPad Pro 13inch and whenever I choose to mask an item to make local adjustments the app crashes and you have to start all over again. It’s pretty frustrating as the rest of the app is quite useable.

### 5/5 — Thank

*2025-09-21, version 19.2.16851*

Top app raw camera

### 5/5 — Top Notch

*2025-08-15, version 19.2.16851*

I have been using ON1 on my Apple computers when it was first introduced. ON1 applications are in harmony with the latest in creative technology!

### 5/5 — A Perfect App for Art and Photography

*2024-08-31, version 18.1.14838*

I have been using ON1 software for many years and now this incredible company has an IOS app. The implications are huge in especially the Raw format founder: but if you use only one feature, the HDR is unrivaled. Plus the option for 4x enlarged files is nearly available while saving. The ability to adjust everything possible is also great… but I know that it’s the highest quality and most exacting coding written in the app that makes this far superior to the many others. If you want to maximize the amazing photos taken from and by your iPhone or iPad… ON1 is especially a photographer’s best option for all considerations. The price and the plethora of training videos and more make this my favorite app for all the right reasons

### 5/5 — What an amazing program

*2024-06-20, version 18.1.14838*

Wow, it just keeps getting better and better. I love ON1 I used to use Lightroom or Photoshop now it’s all on ON1 . I love the cloud because I have an iPad and I can hold it my hand and make adjustments just like looking at the computer.. thanks guys for making such an amazing program for us photographers.

### 5/5 — Powerful and easy to use

*2024-01-31, version 18.1.14838*

Since I started using ON1, I have become so enamored with it that I cancelled my Lightroom/Photoshop subscription. More powerful and less money! Thank you ON1 Team.

### 5/5 — Very Disappointed

*2023-11-15, version 17.0.12899*

Waited a long time for this app but does not live up to the hype
1-edits do not seem to transfer between iphone/ipad/computer as stated
2-jerky and very slow
3-keeps freezing
4-slows up the main editing suite on the master computer
5-camera function very basic
6-takes forever to down load all your files from your main library to your other units via the cloud and does not seem to transfer your edits between your units
7-every time you enter your library you have to wait for the pictures to un-blur which depends on what your signal is like All in all i think i have wasted nearly £200 for the complete ON1 360 system
After waiting the last 2 years my edits still have NOT transferred only the unedited raw file

Regards p jefferys

*2021-12-28, version 16.1.0.11612*

It is easy to use, syncs between devices, great addition

### 5/5 — All for ON1

*2021-10-26, version 16.0.11125*

Great way to continue working while on the go or even when away from my computer. Love the app and it’s companion apps
