It will ask for code in email, switch to email app for code will back to homepage of OnCue and then need restart the password reset process. I went with kohler over generac. The first kohler generator blew up after 15 minutes run time. Kohler provided a new one at no charge. Now i cannot access online. But it seems the majority of complaints about non-connection is that according to Kohler it’s not their servers but the customers WiFi. Is it realistic that we are all wrong? We all have defective equipment, whereas Kohler's are working just fine, I don’t think so. My suggestion to Kohler is to either subcontract out your cloud services to a company who’s primary job function is cloud servers etc. willing to accept responsibility when things go wrong, which they will and most customers will be understanding, or stop selling OnCue Plus. Customer's read these reviews and other forums, and quickly determine it’s not just me. How about it Kohler let’s just fix the issue, communicate clearly and stop blaming customers equipment. By the way an email went out last week indicating OnCue will be turned off 9/10/24. It’s 9/9 where is the link and simple steps for customers to connect?? Again Kohler makes very good generators. ### 1/5 — “Generator lost connection to OnCue Server” is its most normal state *2024-09-05* My Kohler generator is hardwired into the house router, and connectivity between generator and home WiFi has been professionally verified multiple times. The App is almost always down (only occasional periods of connectivity) with error response of “generator lost connection to OnCue server..” The connectivity problem is on the OnCue server side, nobody has any answers to solve the issue and there is no real support to try and fix issue. The Kohler assumption is that the customer WiFi / generator is always the problem, but as already noted the home WiFi / generator connection is good. They said they would “get back to me” I’m still waiting!!! I emailed and only got a computer generated response not specific to my issue. When you receive the reset code and attempt to enter it, the app shuts down so you can’t reset the password. This has happened to me numerous times and Koehler does nothing to fix the bug. Then they tell you it’s your cache vs getting the app to work like the rest of the world… what’s worse is I spent all the money for the remote alerts and had no idea I was logged out. After my 5 year warranty was up, the main generating coil failed and the part was 2/3’s the cost of a new complete unit. My repairman suggested a brand new Kohler unit as he claimed zero problems with the brand. The best decision in my life as it has not failed with over 5 years of service.
