## What is OnDeck?

THE FOUR-CARD SYSTEM FOR GETTING THINGS DONE

OnDeck strips away the complexity of traditional to-do apps and gives you just four cards to manage your life: Today, Next, Someday, and the Win Pile.

Today — What needs your attention right now
Next — What's coming up soon
Someday — Ideas and tasks for the future
Win Pile — Everything you've accomplished

Tap a card to focus. Swipe between cards as your priorities shift. Drag tasks to reorder them. Track progress with four status levels: Not Started, In Progress, Delegated, and Complete. It's task management that works the way your brain does.

Stop drowning in endless task lists. Start finishing what matters.

SYNCS WITH APPLE REMINDERS

Your tasks aren't locked inside OnDeck. Everything syncs through Apple Reminders, which means automatic iCloud backup and sync across all your devices. It also works with alternative providers like Google if you've configured them in Settings. Your data stays yours, and it's still accessible if you stop using the app.

THE WIN PILE

Completed tasks don't just disappear. They move to your Win Pile — a record of everything you've accomplished. Look back on productive days, track your progress, and remind yourself how much you're actually getting done. Tasks are organised by completion date so you can see your productive history.

HOME SCREEN WIDGETS

Add OnDeck to your home screen with widgets in multiple sizes. Choose which card to display — Today, Next, Someday, or the Win Pile. Tap any task in the widget to jump directly into the app. Widgets update automatically throughout the day.

CUSTOMISE YOUR EXPERIENCE

Make OnDeck truly yours with personalisation options:
- Choose between System, Light, or Dark appearance
- Select colour schemes: Pastel, Greyscale, or Sticky Note
- Pick your typography: Sans Serif, Serif, or Rounded

DESIGNED TO STAY OUT OF YOUR WAY

No complicated projects. No tags. No priorities within priorities. Just four cards, your tasks, and a clear view of what to do next. OnDeck automatically reorganises overdue tasks and updates due dates so you stay on track without manual effort.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.9 — 2026-08-28

- New: Press and hold the OnDeck icon on your Home Screen, or the add button inside the app, to add a task straight to Today, Next, or Someday
- New: Select several tasks at once and delete them all together from the floating toolbar
- New: OnDeck now follows the system's Reduce Motion setting, holding the cards still and easing back their animations
- New: Clear a task's due date with the new Clear date button in the Add and Edit task screens

### 1.8 — 2026-08-18

# Swipe gestures
When in the Card Stack, swipe up on any card header to open a card. Swipe down on the card header to reveal the card behind it.

# Updates card
Whenever there are new features or fixes in OnDeck, you'll see an Updates card in your Card Stack. Swipe up to read the changes. Swiping down on the Updates card now reveals the Today card behind it, consistent with how all other cards in the stack behave. Swiping down on any card below the Updates card now also moves the Updates card along with it. You can toggle the Updates card in the Settings card.

# Settings card
The Settings card can now be added to the Card Stack. Swipe down on it from the Card Stack to show the impressum.

### 1.7 — 2026-08-10

Swipe gestures: Updated swipe gestures, so that scrolling to the top of a list and over-scrolling now closes the card you’re in.

Updated daily group styles: Headers for each day on a card are now more prominent.

Background updates: The app would only update tasks and move them to the correct card based on their date when the app is opened. This update introduces a new background syncing feature, which triggers once a day. This means the widgets now update properly.

Copy-and-paste to create tasks:
With Quick Add enabled, if you copy multi-line text from another app and paste it into the ‘Add task’ screen, it will add a new task for each line of text.

Fixes for iOS 27:
Version 1.6.1 fixed a bug with Quick Add where long tasks would not wrap their text around multiple lines. The APIs to achieve this will change in iOS 27, which has introduced a new bug. This release fixes that bug before most people will ever see it!

### 1.6.1 — 2026-08-08

Fixed a bug with ‘Quick add’ where text for each line item would not wrap if a task was over a certain text length.

### 1.6 — 2026-07-15

QUICK ADD
A new ‘Quick add’ option has been added to Settings. It’s off by default. Toggle it ‘on’ and you can add multiple new reminders at the same time by pressing ‘Return’ on your keyboard.
