But in the new boat of my dreams, the “Network” doesn’t work as a proper network of Xplore units in any way that I consider adequate or worth the considerable investment made in state-of-the-art Humminbird electronics. What is the point of an Ethernet hub if the networked units are not truly integrated, sharing stored data easily and not just live transducer readings? And yes, maybe I should re-read all the lousy pdfs start-to-finish or watch tons of extra videos (unlike other tech that just seems to work). Or maybe I should just eBay everything and start over with another brand. The hardware is great, but this app is trash. ### 1/5 — Grotten schlechte App ! *2025-12-09* Ich bin maßlos enttäuscht ! When speaking with Hummingbird Customer Rep, it’s only compatible with the new 2023-present Quest series of trolling motors. The app is very similar to using your Humminbird graph. You can make waypoints and transfer them to your unit. Up date software on all your Humminbird and Minn Kota products and controls them. Really stoked that I can connect to my Helix 7 and do all my prep work / waypoint discovery and general map study offline and be able to pair directly with my unit. In my kayak I use my phone with Coastmaster VX mapping as my main GPS / navigation in tandem with my Helix 7 for side imaging and up & down graphing. I am religious about studying satellite views as well as keying in on certain depths to target patterns throughout the year. This app offers both, and more. Highlight the depth zone, zoom out on satellite to see bottom content, you name it.
