Rang and they put the phone down before answering. Had to get my client to pick me up for work! Rang to chase it up to be told only 4 cars out so they’re busy. 2 hours walking through town trying to flag a black cab down! Please use another service / app. ### 1/5 — Full of bugs *2019-11-20, version 32.1.12* Awful app full of bugs. 1, search to input address you're going to doesn't work. If the address isn't on the drop down list of previously used you can't book. 2, once booked the app freezes. Need to force shut down and reopen. 3, track car states taxi is coming but gives no tracking. After 10 min booking vanishes. No car is coming. 4, app estimates 4 mins wait when in actual fact it's 30 min plus! ### 1/5 — Terrible *2019-11-11, version 32.1.12* Taxi was despatched and then cancelled by the firm almost immediately. It was so quick between despatch and cancellation, it hadn’t even had time to show how far away the taxi was/how long it would be. After calling them up, they said the taxi had been to the address but had left because no-one was there. I don’t know whether it did show up or not because the app certainly didn’t show this and no texts were received to say it was here (which are normally sent). Had to wait an additional 20 mins for a rebooked taxi as they wouldn’t prioritise the booking because they said a car had already been. If firms are going to rely on technology rather than the old-fashioned (but perhaps more reliable) beep on arrival, then they at least need to make sure the technology works and take some responsibility if it doesn’t. ### 1/5 — Confused.com *2019-05-04, version 32.0.2* Downloaded this app quickly as Delta where busy. Wasn’t sure weather I had ordered a taxi or not. Then I had to select pick up. I pressed to order a taxi again, as wasn’t sure. Ended up getting a Delta in the end. The got an irate taxi driver ringing me saying I should of cancelled. Well I would if I knew I ordered one. The next morning I see n a missed call 6 hours later. I guess I must of order another one in my sleep. Needs work! ### 1/5 — Just don’t bother. Overpriced/Rude/Surprise Extra Charges. *2019-03-03, version 32.0.2* My experience as a whole is far from positive. The lady behind the phone in the office appears to thrive on being rude. My driver was one of the nicest taxi drivers I have been lucky enough to encounter and one of the only good things you seem to have going for you! The app through which I booked my taxi gave a ‘total fare’ estimate of £12.90 although only an estimate I do expect the final price to be somewhat in the region of this... arrive at my door, £19.70, no prior mention of any extras not when booking, anywhere on the app, or told to me by the driver. Yet you think it’s then acceptable to charge me £6.50 for the tunnel fee which with every other taxi company in Liverpool is automatically put on the meter at £3.60 the physical price of the tunnel. Appalled doesn’t even cover it. The most expensive prebooked taxi I have ever had from my work place to my home address. False advertisement from your app and horribly suspicious to have extras not, on the meter or, showed in my receipt. (The driver rang the office when I queried this at the end of journey to prove he was just following what he’s told, which is when I encountered the horribly brash overly rude office personnel.) My recommendation... don’t bother, use a different company! I feel sorry for there drivers. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Unreliable *2026-07-16, version 36.16.0* They cancelled my booking at the exact time the taxi should have arrived. Giving me no time to find an alternative. Not only are they unreliable and will leave you in the proverbial but they have zero customer service. Don’t trust them ### 1/5 — App doesn’t work *2024-09-03, version 36.4.0* When I try to sign up it keeps saying error and there’s nothing wrong with my signal and WiFi. ### 1/5 — Avoid at all cost *2024-08-27, version 36.4.0* I pre booked a One Call Taxis Southport yesterday Saturday August 24th 2024 for 5.15pm pickup today Sunday 25th, I’ve waited an hour and it’s still not here, they’ve just cancelled my taxi, absolutely disgusting behaviour, please do not use them as they are a total disgrace 😡😡😡😡 I only gave them one star because it wouldn’t let me send otherwise. ### 1/5 — Awful taxi company. *2024-05-13, version 36.1.0* Don’t use this company I’ve had SO many issues with them over the last 3 weeks. None of them will take you unless your journey is more than 15 minutes, we decided to walk to the taxi rank instead where 6/8 taxis were one call and ALL drivers said they wouldn’t take me because the drive was too short (7 minutes drive but 25 minutes for me to have walked and it was late at night as a woman this is unsafe). They ALL said they supposedly didn’t take card and were all cash only, on weekends they’re all magically taking card. Multiple drivers cancelled so many times and even when I ring they said one is on our their way and it takes 15 minutes minimum! I also have my name in the app as a man’s name for extra safety and every driver I’ve managed to get has asked me “who’s *insert the man’s name I use*” like this is any of their business for one and two I find it very invasive. ### 1/5 — New app *2023-09-08, version 35.2.0* Can’t even sign in to the new app now 🫤 ### 1/5 — Taxi price goes up after end of journey *2023-09-05, version 35.2.0* I booked taxi and that time the price of journey showing £6 and i got the confirmation email also of £6 but I end up paying £10.20 at end of journey. Good taxi firm 👍 ### 5/5 — Works really well. *2018-12-15, version 12.21.2* I recently updated the app from SRC to the umbrella name of One Call which basically is SRC, EXCELL, A1 and All The Fives taxis under one name. There’s some other smaller firms too. It works well. Like every taxi company, taxi drivers are self employed and at certain times taxis become difficult to obtain. This is something no taxi company can control. It’s frustrating when you have to be somewhere but good planning and thinking about the time of day. School run etc, the weather, football match. Anything like this can delay despatch of a vehicle but I’ve always found that they will come and even if I get frustrated about waiting, the same thing happens with other taxi companies too. Most of the time, I order a taxi and it’s arrived within 5 minutes. The option to pay by card is cool too. Being linked with other taxi companies means they’ve got the city covered. North to South, centre to Kirkby etc. That’s something that didn’t happen until they all merged under one name. ### 5/5 — Linda *2018-11-12, version 12.21.2* Can use this App all over the country best service on Merseyside ### 3/5 — Not great *2019-02-08, version 12.21.2* It was good but recently it doesn’t tell you if the taxi is coming and I live and the 14th floor and they don’t give you enough time to get down it tells you when the taxi arrives and that’s it ### 2/5 — Charges for bookings *2025-07-07, version 36.10.0* You are charged for a booking even when you can’t make a booking because there are no drivers available. ### 2/5 — Meh *2021-02-27, version 33.0.15* Through its many variations and updates this app is currently a nightmare. First started using it 2016 and it stored fav addresses which made booking a doddle, 2019-20 was alright but entering addresses was sometimes a pain and ended up sending taxis to wrong locations. Updated I think November ish; Now it insists on doing it all by GPS so I’ve had drivers insisting they’re not for me because the app has changed house number from what I’ve entered to where it thinks I am. ### 2/5 — Prone to phishing. Beware. *2019-02-10, version 12.21.2* Cheap software and prone to phishing. It tells me to update app million times... after all it was just phishing my data and my card details.
