### 2/5 — Progress is bugged

*2026-06-29*

Game plays very similar to the physical board game which is great.
However the progress feature is bugged and keeps resetting hero checks. Unfortunate as this eliminates one of the better “legacy” style features of the game.
Much higher ranking if the bug were fixed.

### 2/5 — No progression

*2026-03-29, version 1.6.8*

If you can’t say your progression, what is the point of the iOS?

### 4/5 — I wish it had better UI

*2026-02-07*

I spent 11$ for game and every expansion, I wish I didn’t. UI looks so aged and unappealing, that I just can’t enjoy it much. It looks like websites from 90s. I wish it has better design, now it looks so cheap and outdated. I understand that art is bad thanks to original board game, but everything else looks even worse. I mean fonts, backgrounds, animations, sfx and everything. UI is not fluid at all. I wish it was at least Spirit Island’s level of quality. It’ll help game so much.
Also I don’t see much replay value. I mean there are a lot of gameplay to unlock everything with every character, but the game’s loop becomes boring too fast, it’s all the same every run, different heroes and dungeons doesn’t help at all. I just don’t wanna play after a few games. There’re better rogue-likes which was not originally board games, just play them instead.

### 4/5 — Very good if you know how to play the board game already !

*2025-12-31*

If you already know how to play the actual board game already this isn’t too hard to navigate and it is very enjoyable but if you don’t know how to play the board game already it may be a bit too finicky but not impossible.

### 3/5 — Not Saving Progress on iPad

*2025-11-26*

I love this game, both the physical card game and the digital game. I have played it for many hours on my iPhone and have now switched to my iPad. However, every time I move away from the app or close it, when I return my progress is not saved. This really defeats the bulk of this game on iPad. Doing some searching shows that this is a problem reported by other users and remains an issue for many of them. This is quite unfortunate.

### 2/5 — Doesn’t store progression

*2025-05-08, version 1.6.7*

I have this game on PC and it’s great, but the mobile version doesn’t store progression between game launches. This basically takes away from the core of the game.

### 2/5 — Progression broken

*2025-03-26, version 1.6.7*

I really love this game, but progression is broken. If you so much as look away from the app for a moment you lose all your progression on your heroes. I’ve lost too much to this glitch. Better to stick with the physical game. Can’t/won’t play the iOS version anymore.

### 3/5 — Good but those dice!!!

*2025-02-25*

I don’t know what algorithm the developers use for dice rolls but all I can say is those dice love 1’s and 2’s! Especially the very useful black dice which always seem to land on 1-3. Seems grossly unfair in the dice rolling but otherwise a good game

### 3/5 — Its very fun. But the progression bug stops me from loving it

*2024-10-23, version 1.6.6*

Theres about a 70% chance it wont save any of my progression. It saves my wins and losses but none of my level ups. Please fix this. Its such a good game

### 3/5 — not a card or deck builder

*2024-02-17, version 1.6.6*

More of a random dice rolling strategy RPG game. Not sure why it’s listed under deck builder

### 4/5 — Not bad on sale!

*2023-11-22*

Full game + 2 DLC packs under $5 isn’t bad for this game. If you enjoy card battlers like STS, MT, or others you should like this, base game is worth $1. Art is 6/10. Tutorial 7/10. Gameplay is 8/10. Variety 9/10. Progression 10/10. Repeatability 10/10. Family share on game and DLC is available. My only gripe is how some of the game is in landscape and some in portrait while playing portrait. Why do I need to turn my phone sideways to look at a card description?

### 3/5 — Ripetitivo e privo di strategia

*2023-06-12, version 1.6.3*

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — No funciona el guardado

*2026-01-17, version 1.6.8*

He solicitado un reembolso.

### 1/5 — What Men Can’t Play

*2025-08-04, version 1.6.7*

Every character in the game is a female. As a male gamer I’m not represented in this game. And it’s not a great game either.

### 1/5 — Fun, but loses all progression

*2025-03-14, version 1.6.7*

Would be a fun game but it loses my progression every time I play. What a waste.

### 1/5 — Fun game, awful app

*2024-07-15*

Save yourself the money. This game freezes when opened which is annoying but now my game is unplayable after less than a month owned. The new game is bugged so you can’t start a new game, the abandon game button doesn’t work and the continue game just brings me to a blank screen.
The developers haven’t updated the game and are just stealing your money.

### 1/5 — Broken

*2024-05-19*

I’ve been trying for a couple weeks to get them to fix it. My game won’t let me progress past the main menu, even after deleting the app and redownloading. The first week after I bought it I played a lot and loved it and now it’s completely broken. Support responds to me once every 4-5 days asking me to provide more information with no fixes. I’m just leaving the one star here I’m hopes of getting their attention. I’ll change it to a 5 if anyone can fix the issue.

### 1/5 — Just lost all my progress?!?!

*2024-02-03*

Game deleted all my character progress. No longer feel like playing this ever again

### 1/5 — Difficulté inexistante

*2023-11-05*

*2023-07-12, version 1.6.3*

### 1/5 — Noia mortale

*2023-06-21, version 1.6.3*

Lasciate stare.

### 1/5 — Impossibly difficult

*2023-04-16, version 1.6.3*

40 games in, zero wins. This game is impossible to win short of getting lucky. Waste of money. I am a gamer my whole life, and have played multiple dice chuckers, this one is by far the hardest. It has potential, but forget about winning. I wasted my time and money so you don’t have to.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great for Learning the Game

*2026-02-01, version 1.6.8*

As the title says, play this to get a feel for the rules and gameplay. Then def buy the physical game.

### 5/5 — Love it

*2025-12-16, version 1.6.8*

For a quick and simple game, I’ve put many hours into it.

### 5/5 — Need korean

*2025-09-18*

Support korean lang plz

### 5/5 — It’s quite good

*2025-09-13*

Good to have on mobile.
A part of the UI (monster or location cards) is shown in landscape as opposed to the rest of the UI which is portrait however all of the information is sufficient in portrait.

*2025-07-21*

### 5/5 — Won’t save progress in cloud

*2024-12-09, version 1.6.7*

The actual physical card game is better but this is a lot of fun.

### 5/5 — iPhone X support please!

*2023-09-30*

Though the dice can be brutal, One Deck Dungeon offers the kinds of challenges and choices that keep me coming back (in large part because it is not as time-consuming as other board or card games). This version is the latest gem from Handelabra, the team that brought us Sentinels of the Multiverse, which is phenomenal and has enjoyed years of continued support. Thanks, Handelabra, for another polished title that performs flawlessly. These are the iOS developers that we should support. Now, when can we expect the update that brings iPhone X support? UPDATE: Continued support in 2023—over 5 years later!—means everything. Thanks, devs!

At first I was a little iffy on this game, but as you play you make little discoveries like “if you do this you can recover from really bad situations,” and realize that this game isn’t just about luck but there’s a deep strategy layer.

### 5/5 — Surprisingly deep, old school RPG

*2022-12-05*

I bought the physical game because of reviews that it’s a great solo game but I couldn’t follow the rules - mostly about when to burn cards for the passing of time.

After a few attempts, I put it aside.

Then I bought the app. What a fun game!
It’s surprisingly deep and it plays differently each time. So far I’ve played two dozen games with the Warrior and I just started delving into 2 player games using the Rogue and Mage.

It’s a cross between pen and paper D&D and Yahtzee. Skills provide more dice, items affect how the dice are applied. Decisions on how to use the dice and items can greatly affect whether the battle is won or lost. So can deciding to burn time to gain the two health versus using a potion to heal.

I’m looking forward to buying all the expansions.
