### 3/5 — Only two days in - app has some good, some bad

*2024-05-04*

Are the developers still supporting and updating this app? The App Store listing still says copyright 2021. I downloaded this because I am pre-diabetic. My doctor prescribed a CGM and I’ve been looking for an app that lets me track food and glucose in one place. I’m working hard to learn how I should eat to avoid diabetes. The good - the amount of data I can track, the easy interface, the reports, the sync with my Apple Health data (which imports my CGM readings). The bad - the activity is wacko. I did about an hour of yard work today, but was otherwise just doing normal house stuff. Nothing I’d consider active movement. One Drop is reporting 4 hours. I can’t find any way to adjust the activity settings or turn it off. Logging food is mostly easy, but I can’t see my food log easily, and I can’t edit the name of my meals. So for example, dinner tonight was chicken and salad. My “meal” now shows up as the last food item I entered, which was a condiment. Dumb.

Several of the news articles on the main page lead to blank pages. One tutorial mentioned connecting with a coach - led to a blank page. This plus the lack of app updates lead me to believe this app is not longer actively developed or supported.

### 2/5 — Good concept but...

*2024-03-30*

trying this app if it wasnt keep crashing and froze every single time when i tried to log in for food and etc. I would consider using this app if it didn't constantly crash and freeze every time I tried to log in for food and other purposes. I have confirmed that I have the most recent iOS system update.I would consider using this app if it didn't constantly crash and freeze every time I tried to log in for food and other purposes. ### 4/5 — Please add a daily graph instead of bubbles

*2022-11-11*

Also why can’t we log badal insulin?

**Developer response:** Hi there,

Thank you for sharing this feedback, we appreciate your taking the time and we are always here to help. You should be able to log insulin without issue, so please reach out to us via email at support@onedrop.today.

Thank you and we look forward to hearing from you!

### 4/5 — One Drop is Great !

*2022-10-09, version 7.23.0*

I have used One Drop for over a year. It is easy to use & helps me keep on track with my vitals. I enjoy that it links with some other apps, keeping me from having to put the numbers in so many times. There are 2 things I have not liked about it is:
1:if I’m prescribed a medicine, sometimes it’s not in the list. In this case my meds are not accurate.
2: With the last update I can make a choice of meds I take each day. The list is there, but can’t change it.
I will continue to use this app in the future. Thank you Janis S. Glispy

### 3/5 — Constant Freezing

*2022-10-04, version 7.23.0*

It keeps freezing the screen and overheating when I try to log new information in. Very annoying.

Make the food library bigger, please. Some foods don’t even exist in it and they’re barcoded food or large chain items.

I also dislike how your logged information is hidden away now and you have to click “view all information” to be able to see it. The reminders are the Home Screen now, I don’t need that. I take care of the reminders once a day and then I’m done. I don’t need them in my face every time I open the screen.

Make our logged activity the Home Screen again, that’s what I need to see constantly. I can’t see past daily values anymore at the top averages because of this. I don’t want to download daily logs, the top of the screen had better accuracy and easier to read than the downloadable logs, plus it had more information like daily sodium and stuff that won’t show up in the download logs.

### 3/5 — Useful but could be great

*2022-09-27*

Overall this is one of the more useful BG apps when not having a subscription (the benefits of a subscription like free strips don't seem to apply to Australia). The food DB is pretty good and easy to use.

The current version no longer respects regional settings. BG is fixed on mg/dL and energy on calories for the health cards and reports.

Some annoyances that keep the app from being great: the medication can only be chosen from predefined list and can't be edited (e.g. to add dose/other meds). Different sized circles are used for amounts in some graphs, they go by radius but visually you pick up on area, so a reading that is twice the size becomes a blob that 4 times bigger and overwhelms the graph. The CSV export has an always empty 'tags' column, would be nice to include Lunch/Dinner tags for instance, and a description of the food in Notes to make is easier to correlate food to BG response. The reports are slow to generate, static, and can't be viewed in landscape, so not so useful within the app.

### 4/5 — chock full of useless

*2022-05-16, version 7.13.0*

lThe tools work fine once I got the hang of it, but the app is full of extras. It has options to track all sorts of things that could be useful but I personally don't need, and its relentlessly trying to get me to use premium. i guess it gets the job done tracking, but it didn't even teach me how to use the tools.

edit: i was too hasty. I've figured out how to do the basics like syncing the readings. It still has features I don't need, it would be nice to hide things. I wish it had a tutorial for how to use the tools to take the reading, and an accessible guide to what the error messages mean because I get those a lot and I have to use their website.

### 2/5 — Used to work great

*2022-01-16, version 7.4.0*

Use this to track medication compliance and blood glucose level. Since recent update it no longer reminds me of medication schedule and the UI was changed so I have to look in different places to get the information I want to see. I also should not have to close the app and relaunch to get the info to update and display. It used to show me medications, BGL, BP, and exercise on one screen upon opening, now I have to look other places and some info no longer shows up (or I can’t figure out how to find it.) developers need to realize that wiz-bang isn’t always the way to go. I’m looking for another app to switch.

### 4/5 — Missing !

*2021-07-17*

Need min and max for reading if your hypo or hyper. Color or meter

### 2/5 — Keeps crashing

*2021-07-03*

This would be a great app, but it is constantly crashing, requests multiple re-logins and data is temporarily “lost”/not visible. If I were a cynic I’d imagine that these problems occur with the free subscription…..most of the features are in the paid-for subscription.

**Developer response:** Hello Sindy,

Happy Monday! Thank you for writing this review. If you are experiencing trouble logging in or accessing your saved data, we can help! Please email us at support@onedrop.today. Our Customer Care and Development team can resolve all of your concerns!

### 4/5 — App Desperately needs to be improved.

*2021-07-02, version 6.19.1*

If you need strips at a good cost conveniently delivered, then this is a fine program. But if you rely on the app as a diabetes health platform, it is wholly inadequate. The app is a disaster. Reminders sometimes appear. It often prompts you to import data you’ve imported time and again. Such promise, such disappointment. Note - updating this review, did not think it possible for this app to be any worse than it was, but it keeps getting worse. By far the worst performing health app I have come across. As I said before, if you need strips and nothing else go for it, but there are apps out there that actually do the things they claim to do.

### 3/5 — Well-intentioned update, but not a winner

*2021-06-01, version 6.17.0*

The most recent update is well-intentioned, but unfortunately makes the app clunkier and adds steps to simple tasks. There is no way to set your own preference for the default home screen, which is now the Today view, although the legacy Insights view is much more useful. It also takes more effort and more steps to alter the actual vs scheduled times for medications or other events. This update definitely needs some refinement. Moreover, with recent updates the app has become sluggish and “buggy” with frequent crashes, duplicated reminders, and other issues. I used to love this app, but recent challenges are changing my opinion.

### 3/5 — Needs some definite work

*2021-05-21, version 6.16.1*

When I first got this, it worked okay. But some software problems and the meter doesn’t download to the app. And if a person is really monitoring their numbers, this can be frustrating. Next the people that are with the plan (dietitians and the like) are not going to be with you. With you for a month then gone. And the way I see it, should you be open and frank with one particular person, it should stay that way. So I wish I could get it a better review, but there are too many moving parts and they haven’t been able to keep up with it. Lastly, why can’t these test strips be sold at Walmart or Target? Saves some time and would help with all the false reads this gives. This is a waste of precious test strips. Please change or I go back to the old way.

**Developer response:** Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to review our One Drop app. We appreciate your comprehensive feedback, and would love to connect with you to improve your experience. These are all issues that we can resolve! You can send us an email at support@onedrop.today so that we can get in touch. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend so far!

### 4/5 — Connectivity and pop-ups

*2021-03-31, version 6.13.0*

The app is a great way to track readings from the tester, but I have to reconnect the tester almost every day before readings will sync. The reminders are great for taking meds, but you can’t check off multiple items without the app popping up a dialog box for each one. Why give check boxes and not use them? Also, the app has started popping up a forecast while I’m trying to do other things. Stop with the pop-ups! I would have just let the company know directly, but there is no direct feedback/comment method in the app or on the website.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Can’t log blood sugar results

*2024-04-15*

Reads the Apple health blood sugar results fine after the app demanding access to all Apple health data on my phone.
Try and log a blood sugar reading through the one drop app though and it doesn’t record it despite saying saved. Tried again and then it changed the reading from 5.9 to 2.7?!
Will stick with the Apple health app which updates correctly and displays correct readings.

### 1/5 — Keeps you prisoner

*2024-03-31*

Trying to piece together a conglomerate of apps in Canada that will get blood glucose levels from freestyle Libre to an app tracks insulin on board and calculates blouses (not sure why the cgm apps can’t have this built in). For some reason Abbott won’t talk to Apple Health App directlly. Finally landed on Freestyle Libre 2 > LibreLinkUp > Diabeto > Apple Health > Diabetes:M.

One Drop was a suggested app online so I downloaded it but it doesn’t do what I need it to so I tried to delete my account and it won’t let me. The pop up when you click on delete account only has a button for “wait I want to stay” so it’s impossible to delete your account!

### 1/5 — Good Luck Deleting Your Account

*2022-11-25*

I tried for 1/2 to delete my account, no luck. I had to remove the app and go to my setup to make sure i have no subscription. They designed it to lock you in and no way out

**Developer response:** Hi Adam,

Thank you for taking the time to share this review. Please email us at support@onedrop.today so that we can help resolve this as soon as possible. We are here to help and look forward to hearing from you.

### 1/5 — Do Not Recommend

*2021-09-08*

Sep 8 no longer syncs with phone. I was going to renew and get my tests strips but not anymore! The only thing that was good with the app is now not working.
Now, I need to find a better app and a better device.

Sept 3 Does nothing but “session expired change password” I do that close the app wait a few minutes and open the app and get the same “session expired” crud. This app has gone from good - ok - useable - nightmare - run away it does nothing in a year and a half.
May 2021 Signed me out. Jan 2021 I had stop using it for recording food as well it sucked. Then stopped using it all together. Now I’ve gone back to it to find the #1 feature that I liked is gone. You no longer get to view just the last two weeks of blood sugar levels. Unless this app gets extremely better and more user friendly I’m done with it and won’t be recommending it to anyone. Started using this March of 2020 and since then the app itself has down hill. Features keep on disappearing with other replacing them only to disappear too. This app is only good food wise in the country it is made, the US. Outside of that it sucks but says other wise. 2020 25% of the food I eat I can Properly log. Which makes this app 10% useful and 99% annoying. Oh, and add to that the fact that it randomly for no reason Signs you OUT. Fix this please. The next time it signs me out I am Not sign back it. That is it I’m done. It’s not like I was trying to log a blood sugar level or anything when it decided to sign me out, oh wait. That is Exactly what I trying to do. Forgot to mention the it Freezes a Lot. At least once a day sometimes more. You have to completely close the app and reopen it. Very annoying.

**Developer response:** Hi there! Thank you for updating this review! Here at One Drop, your feedback is greatly appreciated. We’re sorry that you’re experiencing these inconveniences with your app. Our Customer Care and Development Team are ready to resolve these issues for you ASAP. ### 1/5 — Joke

*2021-08-25, version 6.24.0*

I already wrote a review (not sure why Apple discarded it - maybe because it was negative) about the app that was buggy. The app is still buggy. Doesn't reliably acquire activity data from my phone and even though has all the permissions.

Now i am writing about the strips. Even though i purchased the annual service with all the bells and whistles, i only got 25 strips. That was super weird. No problem, one drop said, you need to order them strips. I ordered a package with 300 and this guys at one drop shipped them via USPS?! What? I did not received those strips. Checked all over, but the strips are missing. Horrible! Why in the world you would ship with USPS on a $300 order??! Why signature from adult was not setup with the package?!?!?

I already regret the purchase.

### 1/5 — Horrible product; disappointed by Apple Store sponsorship

*2021-04-17, version 6.14.0*

I have bought Apple products for 16+ years and many of those they allow in the Apple product store that are compatible with Apple products and services. This is my first huge disappointment. I’ve followed terrible directions and online help and squandered all 25 strips and multiple lancets in the initial kit - without one successful reading (and many puncture marks). All sorts of error codes but none successful. I will ask to return it to Apple for a full refund and seek another glucose testing product that can integrate with Apple Health. My fault for not reading the most recent reviews that show the product has deteriorated over time and certainly not worth the cost. Ugh - buyer beware.

### 1/5 — Why would you do this for people

*2021-01-01*

I’m not doing it again
Ok bye

**Developer response:** Hello,

### 1/5 — Can’t figure it out

*2020-11-22*

Had to google to find kg

Probably won’t last long with this as can not figure out how to work this app

### 1/5 — Wrong information

*2020-10-02*

### 5/5 — Sugars

*2024-10-07*

This app as helped me to track my blood sugars it’s so easy to use thank you this app makes my diabetes recordings easy both for me and my diabetic nurse to follow

### 5/5 — Great Free App

*2024-07-19*

I have found this app to be so useful in the control of my diabetes & weight loss great tracker also food finder to calculate calories there is also a coach you can chat to & also the one drop community, everything aabout this app is brilliant

### 5/5 — Great app. That was a year ago

*2024-05-05*

Like the backup to cloud as lost all my records due to iPhone problem twice so looked for one with backup Help from developer re meds and won now love it to link up with fit it Very useful app Update Have been using this now for over a year. It just keeps Improving. Love it.

### 5/5 — Reminders and Favourites wiped out..again!

*2024-02-16*

Could be a great app but a couple of times now it has wiped out all my data, reminders and no way to get it back. These apps are good if they are reliable but that seems to be the problem they rarely are. My advice would be to make sure you back up your data regularly and prepare to key in the meds, readings and your favourites. The food database is excellent but what’s the point if the data integrity is poor.

### 5/5 — Excellent app, just a couple of asks

*2022-10-02, version 7.22.0*

Could you enable the app to directly read the A1C values from Apple Health please? It reads just about everything else so not sure why it doesn’t pick that up. Second, I’m trying to retroactively populate it manually with my A1C values over the last three years. Easy to do for this year but the date picker doesn’t allow you to choose the year so I can’t manually enter last year’s values. Pls improve date picker to make year selectable. Beyond that, app is awesome.

### 5/5 — Best decision I have made for my diabetes

*2022-01-12*

In the three or so years since I started using one drop, but more specifically the unlimited strips deal, I have been in the best control of diabetes since my diagnosis over 20 years ago. Having the data to make more informed decisions has been the biggest most impactful thing. It’s just never been financially something I could afford before, and I can’t recommend it enough.

**Developer response:** Hi there! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are ecstatic that you are enjoying your experience! Please don't hesitate to reach out to our Customer Care team directly at support@onedrop.today if you ever need anything!

### 5/5 — PCS.

*2022-01-12*

First class system which I am very comfortable with. I recommend this way of keeping records of health activities etc.

**Developer response:** Hi there! We greatly appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us! We are so glad you're enjoying the app! If you ever need assistance with anything please don't hesitate to reach out to our Customer Care team directly at support@onedrop.today.

### 5/5 — Works fine now - please do not mess with it

*2021-10-09, version 6.27.0*

I have used one drop’s mobile app for five years now and it is a great app. However, for a couple of weeks (that ended a couple of days ago) the app just would not work. One drop was introducing enhancements that I am guessing were not successful. I hope one drop will vet future enhancements more thoroughly because it was a very stressful time for me. As I said at the start of my review, it is a great app - I looked at at least four other apps and was relieved to see that one drop pulled the enhanced version in favor of the older but reliable one.

### 5/5 — 5STAR Rating

*2021-02-12*

Excellent App

**Developer response:** Thank you for the wonderful rating, we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience! Please let us know if you ever need help or have any questions, thanks!

### 5/5 — That which is measured - changes!

*2020-02-04, version 5.7.1*

By far the most dynamic and comprehensive tool I have seen to date. The One Drop Team is amazing and their support and commitment are second to none. I’ve worked in the medical device field for 20+ years and have only seen a platform that has the potential to be this disruptive to an industry based on antiquated standard of care but a few times. Download now - start logging, read all you can, and be confident to make adjustments (which are supported by data) to take control of your diabetes and live your best life!
